Banaue Clark/Manila to Banaue
Posted: Mon June 23, 2008 04:57 AM UTC
Hello

I am visiting the phillipines in August, and would really love to see the rice terraces, however i am finding it hard to find information on a few things.

Am arriving by Tiger airways around 12.55pm on August 6.

1. Is there a shuttle service that is catered to this arrival time? (I only found info that Air Asia coordinates the time of the shuttles to their flights, but i didnt find any information about Tiger)

2. Is it advisable to do a self drive from Clark airport to Banaue? If so, in general do you find automatic cars in the car rentals? Any ideas on what the approx cost per day would be?

3. Is the weather in August good to go up to Banaue?

Any help is really appreciated.

Batad Sagada to Batad
Posted: Wed March 19, 2008 06:00 AM UTC
Hi,
Can anyone answer my following questions:

1. If our bus arrives on time from Baguio to Sagada, we will be in sagada by 1:00 pm.Then we will have a quick lunch, is it possible for us to hire a jeepney that will bring us to Batad Saddle point and a guide waiting for us in batad, any recommendations and with the guide's number?

2. If we leave Sagada at 2:00 pm for Batad Saddle Point, what time will be there? and how many hours walk going to Batad Village.

3. We are staying 2 nights.

4. After 2 nites stay, we are going to leave as early as 8 am, is it easy to get transportation from the Saddle Point going to Banaue? Can anyone give me a contact number of a jeepney that we can hire.

Thanks

Posted: Fri February 8, 2008 05:26 PM UTC
Greetings mga kabayan!

I am planning my first northern Luzon trip and I really need your help!

I only have 3-4 days to spare to see the following: our famous rice terraces, Vigan and Baguio. I will only take public transpo (preferably an A/C bus for long-distance trips).

Thanks so much!

Hi VT friends,

I'll be in philippines in september and would like to know is there any buses from clark/dau to banaue directly? We will land at clark around 11am and hope to reach banaue the next day. If yes, what is the departure time and how long is the journey?

This is the route we plan to take :
Clark – banaue – sagada – baguio
Baguio – pagudpud – Bangui – paoay – vigan – sta maria – baguio
Baguio – manila – donsol – tagaytay - manila

It would be good if you have any bus information on our route above. We are 2 people traveling on budget and not prefer to fly.

Many Thanks!!

I will be in Philippines end June and would love to visit Banaue. I am travelling alone though, and was wondering if it would be safe to go to Banaue alone and from Banaue trek to Bataad etc alone?

Suggestions on a 2 day itinerary would be very much welcome too.

Banaue Driving to Banaue
Posted: Mon April 2, 2007 06:54 PM UTC
Can anyone give exact directions to take if one plans to drive to Banaue from Manila? I've been told that to take the North Luzon Expressway and exit Sta. Rita, Bulacan and just follow the highway through...

Also, any tips as to what time to leave etc., and things to do would be appreciated. Am planning an overnight in Banaue, then leave for Sagada (what route to take?) for 2 nights, then back to Banaue for another 2 nights...

Thank you!

I'm planning on taking a trip to Baguio and then heading off to Banaue. I was wondering if there was a bus going from Baguio to Banaue, and if so how much? Or is it better to go to Baguio first or should I go to Banaue first?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Banaue Trip to Banaue & Sagada
Posted: Thu January 25, 2007 01:20 PM UTC
Hi everyone!

First timer here in VT and first timer to travel to Banaue & Sagada.

Need your help please.. I’ve been reading a few from everyone and they are very helpful..

I guess it’s better to have more info than less or nothing at all.

1) Is April a good time to visit Banaue? We are planning to go there the last week of April or can we still catch the green fields during the month of May?
2) Regarding transportation we’d like to go to Banaue first and stay overnite.
 What’s the best transportation to take if I’m coming from Pangasinan (Urdaneta to be exact) to Banaue.. I’ve noticed that there’s a trip going to Banaue via Autobus but this is bound from Manila. Is there a Autobus terminal in Pangasinan, we’d like to catch this so we’ll be able to travel overnight.
 Anyway, if it’s not possible, what’s the best transportation to get to Banaue from Urdaneta?
3) we’re planning to go to Bangaan once we get to Banaue, how long the travel to get there and how much roughly would it cost if we take a tricyle or is it jeepney?
4) is there a place we can stay in Bangaan if we decided to sleep there overnight and how much roughly the cost instead of Banaue?
5) From Banaue we’re heading to Sagada, what’s the best time to catch a jeepney to get there early and how long will be the travel and oh of course how much roughly?
6) When going back to Pangasinan, we’d like to take the route to Baguio, which bus is the best way to take and what’s the earliest time we can board?

Anyway, overall can you please suggest how much roughly should we expect to spend (6 people) from transportation & accommodation?

Thank you very much for your help!
Very much appreciated.
