Banaue Cauayan to Banaue and V.V
Posted: Sun October 11, 2009 03:01 PM UTC
HI
I am considering taking the flight from Manila to Cauayan and from Cauayan - to take a bus to Banaue
I am looking for the bus schedule from Cauayan to Banaue and from Banaue to Cauayan so that I can book the flights according to it.
If there is a car rental agency in Cauayan that has 4WD cars to rent -it might be even better.
I will be glad to receive any information...
Thanks

Banaue Banaue Condition
Posted: Sat October 10, 2009 05:13 PM UTC
What is the situation in Banaue after the typhoon? The news in my area focused on the damages along the Condillera mountains. I plan to visit Banaue between Oct 21-Nov 1 via Baguio City, but now I am wondering if the roads are passable?

I appreciate any info you can share.

Banaue Banaue weather in late July?
Posted: Sun July 12, 2009 04:31 AM UTC
My family and I plan to visit northern Luzon (Banaue, Batad, Bontoc, Sagada, and Baguio) in a couple of weeks to see the rice terraces in Banaue before harvest time. One person on a different forum, however, said that it is the rainy season and advised us NOT to travel to Banaue, etc. for safety reasons due to the rainy weather. What is the weather in Banaue like in late July? During the rainy season, does it rain all day or for isolated periods of time? When will the rice harvest be this year? Should we forego our plans to visit Banaue, Sagada, Baguio, etc. entirely and visit a different part of the Philippines altogether?! Many thanks in advance for your input.

Banaue Traveling solo to (Banaue, Batad, Sagada) looking for group or good guide
Posted: Sun March 1, 2009 03:58 AM UTC
I am planning on taking bus form Manilla to Banaue and will have 2 nights, 3 days in the area. I'm traveling solo. I have two goals - trekking the rice terraces and photography. Are there trekking groups that you can join if you are solo? How do you go about that? Also - are there any guides that specialize in photographic tours of the areas (landscapes and ethnic candid people shots/village life)and are willing to take you out at early hours and late hours when the sun is best for photography?
Finally - if I only have 3 days - can I get to all three places and do trekking - or should I simply focus on Banaue and Batad?

Batad transpo from Banaue to Batad Saddle Point
Posted: Tue February 24, 2009 03:59 AM UTC
hello!

5 of us are planning to spend a night in Batad (from Sagada) next week. we'll probably arrive at Banaue shortly before noon (10-11 AM maybe). i've read that not all PUJs go straight to the Saddle Point, so my main concern is this:

1. is there still a jeepney from Banaue to Batad SADDLE point between 12NN-1PM? we plan to rent a room in Banaue (upon arrival) where we could leave our big bags so we won't have to carry them all the way to Batad.

another concern is this:

2. do we have to buy our Banaue-Manila tickets at least a week before? if so, can we buy them from their Manila office?

3. you may also want to suggest which place/room (in Banaue) is safe & convenient to rent to leave our bags for 1 night.

we're leaving for Baguio on Sat, Feb 28, & i hope to read your replies before then, i might not be able to access the internet until after the trip.

cheers,
clarice

Banaue Banaue Itinerary Help
Posted: Tue January 20, 2009 06:58 PM UTC
Hello everyone,

I plan on visiting Banaue next month (Feb.)

What's the best way to get there from Manila? Is there any bus that leaves at night? Please advise on bus and bus schedule.

I'm looking to visit Banaue, Batad and Sagada.

This is my plan...

DAY 1
Banaue

DAY 2
Sagada

Is it possible to visit and enjoy Sagada if I want to go back in Banaue the same day?

Day 3
Batad

Is it worth a trip/hike to Batad?

Day 4
Back to Manila

What do you guys think of this?

Thanks everyone :)

Hi there folks, I need your advice on the followings.

Our travel plans after Christmas day are as follows and would apprreciate if you can comment on it, and we are flexible to change to suite the best travel route where we can see as much. Dont even mind if you re route my whole itinerary as we are not familiar with the places, we want to visit bagiou, mountain province, vigan and end up at a nice beach resort if time permits. Our planned travel day is from 26/12 - 04/01. We leave for Malaysia on the 5th.

26/12 - Kuala Lumpur - Manila

27/12 - Manila - Bagiou
- where can we catch the most regular and comfortable bus.
- we will be visitng a friend who is staying in the ShangriLa Edsa and go to the bust station from there, how far is the bus station.
- How long is the drive as on e of us have a bad back, long travel is a challenge. What are bus schedule_

28/12 - Bagiou - Banaue
We plan to stay a nite if there is not much to do, is ther much to see and do in banaue
- should we even stay in banaue or by pass as our next stop is Sagada.
- where to catch the bus, how long, how much and the travel time

29/12 - Banaue + Sagada
- where to catch the bus, how long, how much and the travel time
- what activities to maximize our stay here

30/12 - Sagada - Batad
- áctivities recomendation and details on where and how.
- recomendation to stay in batad

31/12 - Mountain province where should we be to celebrate the eve

01/01 + Mountain province - vigan
02/01 - Vigan
03/01 - vigan or beach rst
04/01 - must be in manila
05/01 + home

I know it sounds so messy, therefore need help to plan. Thank you very much.

Banaue Manila - Banaue 3days/2night tour
Posted: Sat August 16, 2008 08:19 AM UTC
Hi,

My wife and I are planning to travel from Manila to Banaue in October. We are planning for a 3days/2night stay. My ideal itin. Would like to be:

Before Day 1. Take the 9 hour Bus from Manila to Banaue.

Day 1.
Arrive Banaue around 7AM. Check in hotel and rest until lunch time. Grab lunch. Sightseeing Banaue such as Rice Terrace Viewpoints, perhaps an afternoon hike.

Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner.

Day 2.
Wake up early morning and travel to Sagada via Bontoc. Visit Ancient burial caves, hanging coffins, Bontoc Musuem, and other suggested attractions from you.

Either return to Banaue from Bontoc or spend the night in Bontoc. I am still trying to figure out the commute back to Banaue because it seems like there's limited transportation going back. So I was thinking if we should just stay in Bontoc.

Day 3. Leave Banaue or Bontoc for Manila.

Question:
1. Is this a workable itin.?
2. Do you know any guided tour in Banaue that could be hired for 2 days and take me to my requested attractions? If you do, how much?

Any comments and suggestions is appreciated.

Banaue Clark/Manila to Banaue
Posted: Mon June 23, 2008 05:57 AM UTC
Hello

I am visiting the phillipines in August, and would really love to see the rice terraces, however i am finding it hard to find information on a few things.

Am arriving by Tiger airways around 12.55pm on August 6.

1. Is there a shuttle service that is catered to this arrival time? (I only found info that Air Asia coordinates the time of the shuttles to their flights, but i didnt find any information about Tiger)

2. Is it advisable to do a self drive from Clark airport to Banaue? If so, in general do you find automatic cars in the car rentals? Any ideas on what the approx cost per day would be?

3. Is the weather in August good to go up to Banaue?

Any help is really appreciated.

Batad Sagada to Batad
Posted: Wed March 19, 2008 07:00 AM UTC
Hi,
Can anyone answer my following questions:

1. If our bus arrives on time from Baguio to Sagada, we will be in sagada by 1:00 pm.Then we will have a quick lunch, is it possible for us to hire a jeepney that will bring us to Batad Saddle point and a guide waiting for us in batad, any recommendations and with the guide's number?

2. If we leave Sagada at 2:00 pm for Batad Saddle Point, what time will be there? and how many hours walk going to Batad Village.

3. We are staying 2 nights.

4. After 2 nites stay, we are going to leave as early as 8 am, is it easy to get transportation from the Saddle Point going to Banaue? Can anyone give me a contact number of a jeepney that we can hire.

Thanks
