| Murcia | Car hire from 12th Aug for 2 weeks (or maybe a taxi??) Posted: Mon July 27, 2009 10:58 AM UTC
Having massive problems trying to hire a car for 2 weeks from Murcia airport (staying in MAzarron). Getting stupid quotes (£8/900) or no avilability.
Can anyone help or failing that advise of decent taxi to and from airport (for 3 families) that also dont want something like £600?!?! Thanks Paul |

I am looking for information on where to go in Murcia city for a bit of nightlife. Is there an area where lively bars are located or is it all mainly small tapas bars? The only info I can find is a place called Barrio de la Merced which is somewhere near the university but I cannot locate any more information on this area or even where it is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I'm intending to spend 10 days in end of August begining of September on La Manga del Mar Menor. Now I have to choose between 2 houses, one is on the northern side of La Manga strip and the second one is on the southern part. Which localization would be better? Hello,
I would like to spent the winter months januari februari and march in Los Alcázares. To maintain my business and personal contacts I need ADSL internet access. I found out that finding apartments with wifi or adsl is very difficult. Some people gave me advice to get a vodaphone dongle with internet however you have to obtain a contract for 1 or 2 years for just a stay of 3 months. Would someone know of another provider or another solution. So I will be able to find a house in the one of the villages I would like to go. Los Narejos Los Nietos or los Alcázares. Thanks Louise |

Hi there, im going to Murcia in a couple of weeks and was wondering if there is anywhere in Murcia to rent a moped or quad bike? I've searched the interent but no luck. Also, if i can't get a lift from Alicante airport to Murcia then i will be getting a taxi. Can anyone tell me how much this will be roughly. Thank you.

Hi,
I am looking for some advice. My partner and I have flights to Murcia in mid June and we were meant to be staying at a friends Dad’s house in Cabo Roig with said friends, however they have split up and we are unable to stay there. I really don’t have a clue what to do as the flights are with Easyjet and they won’t offer a refund (we could change the flights for a fee). Can anyone recommend somewhere that is near Murcia which may suit us? We are mid 30’s and LOVE good food. We are not looking for lively and I really need somewhere that is interesting historically and interesting from a photographer’s point of view. I would appreciate any suggestions and if anyone knows of places to stay that would be great too! Thanks, Alan |

I am flying out to murcia airport and am staying in bullas.... am I able to get a train to bullas from the airport ? cannot see that there are any rail links. Is a taxi my only option ? If so what sort of cost am I looking at ?

By all accounts public transport at Murcia is not wonderful. Los Alcazares is not too far and we are will therefore use a taxi. Can anyone tell us whether taxi's are readily available at the airport, or do we need to book in advance. How much would one reasonably be expected to pay for a 10 minute taxi journey?

Am arriving at Murcia airport at 10.00 in the morning (September 07) and leaving two weeks later at 10.30 am I haven't been able to find any suitable buses to take us to Puerto de Mazarron and the airport transfers I've checked out are ridiculously expensive. Does anyone have any sensible suggestions as to how we can do these journeys? There will be two of us. Cartagena looks as though it's in between the two places. Are there buses to and from there? thank you Tricia |

I am finding it difficult to find out about any public transport available in the area. We are staying at La Manga Club and would like to visit Murcia and Cartagena.
