Riyadh Wife wants to visit husband in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Posted: Wed April 16, 2008 10:26 PM UTC
My husband is working for a project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He's on a business visa. He would like me to visit the place for two weeks, the most. Is this possible?

Have you heard of the company "Systems Builder"?
We heard that they assist in processing or acquiring a reference note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jeddah or Damman for employers of business visa holders who want to bring their spouses/wives for a "special visa" just to visit the place.

Any information that you can share is greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Riyadh Duration of stay on a Business Visa (single entry)
Posted: Tue January 8, 2008 12:07 PM UTC
Dear Friends,

I have been given a single entry business visa for visiting KSA on 03-01-2008 with 2 weeks validity. Trust I can arrive their before midnight of 16-01-2008.
However, the visa does not state the duration of stay? Can anybody inform me the duration of stay in business visa (single entry). Does it mean that even I enter KSA on 10-01-2008, I cannot stay beyond 16-01-2008? Please help

Riyadh Can anyone recommend a cheap but nice hotel in Riyadh?
Posted: Tue November 6, 2007 05:36 AM UTC
Greetings:
In the near future, my wife and I will be flying to Riyadh to buy some much needed groceries. We live in Saudi Arabia but in the Eastern Province and we have never actually visited or stayed in Riyadh (although we have been in the Airport). Can anyone recommend a cheap but nice hotel in Riyadh? We are just looking for a room with a bed and a bathroom. Every city usually has at least one cheap, well managed and clean hotel and we would like to stay in a hotel like that. Any advice greatly appreciated.
That’s it for now and I look forward to your postings.

Riyadh Gyms in Riyadh near Imam Saud Road ( King Fahad Area)
Posted: Thu October 18, 2007 06:50 PM UTC
Greetings to all!

Excellent site - Keep up the good work!

I'm currently in Riyadh and considering moving to Imam Saud ibn Abdulaziz ibn Mohammad Road - Imam Saud Road for short (which is in King Fahad Area)

Does anyone know of any gyms in and around that area? I don't currently have transportation so anything within walking distance would be a bonus.

All replies welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Riyadh Riyadh to Kuwait by road
Posted: Tue September 25, 2007 04:12 PM UTC
Hi VT'ers,

I'm doing a road trip next week from Riyadh to Kuwait. I'm therefore looking for member comments to the following questions:

Route: Riyadh - Dammam - Jubail - Khafji - Kuwait
Is this the most sensible route or is there another?

Borders: Open 24 Hrs? Closed for prayer?

Time: How long would this trip take @ 120 kmph?

Look forward to member comments from those who might have done this trip in the recent past.

Thanks

Riyadh Speed Cash and Mobile phone connections
Posted: Sat August 25, 2007 08:44 AM UTC
Dear all

I have couple of questions:

1. If you transfer some amount (e.g. 5000 SR) to a bank account in Pakistan through Speed Cash, do anyone has experience, how much time it takes and what exchange rate they offer? Is it the optimum solution to transfer money to a bank account in Pakistan or there are any better solutions available?

2. I have to buy a (redundant) mobile connection just to keep it offline and to be used if someone is visiting me. I am interested in connection which might offer large airtime. For example, if I put a 50 SR scratch card, I am interested if it can allow me to use the connection for like 4-6 months? Is Jawwal or Mobily better in this case and do they have any special deal for such connections?

Thanks in advance

Riyadh Any golfers?

Looking for anyone who would be interested in playing at Dirab on either the 30th or 31st of August. I have been wanting to play there on one of my trips to the Kingdom, but don't have any easy way to get there from the InterCon. Anyone who might be interested, I'd pay your green fees in exchange for a ride.

Riyadh Is there any apartment for hire in Riyadh?
Posted: Tue July 24, 2007 04:08 AM UTC
Im looking forward to hire an apartment/house for a month in riyadh. Perhaps there's a tip/clue for it. Im going there for a vacation with family + my parents too. So I think its not a good idea to stay in a hotel for a month. As the pay could be expensive too. Its better to get any apt/house/villa..??Kindly tell me so.

Riyadh Tailored Shirts
Posted: Thu June 21, 2007 07:33 PM UTC
Hopefully, the 4th time is a charm. I have never received any answers to my golfing at Dirab or Indian Cooking Class requests, maybe this will find a better reception. Anyone know a good place to have some dress shirts tailor-made in Riyadh? My "shape" doesn't lend itself to finding good fitting things off the racks. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Riyadh King Fahad & Oleya Road
Posted: Tue June 19, 2007 11:03 AM UTC
Salamualikom, Halla Walla, Hi!

I want to ask you guys about these streets. What kind of streets are they? From the name, I could guess that King Fahad would be main bussiness street, but Oleya I'm not sure. How far are they to each other? Regarding their locations & the buildings that are there, what is the demography of companies that got their offices in King Fahad & Oleya road? Are they most probably to be decent?

Thanks alot for the infos. Most appreciated.

Regards.
