Petra Transport by bus from the Dead Sea to Petra to Aqaba
Posted: Thu May 29, 2008 10:39 AM UTC
Hi,

Im visiting Jordan in July, can anyone tell me how I should travel from the Dead Sea (movenpick hotel) to Petra, then from Petra to Aqaba?

Can I get a bus between all 3 places and if so, where from and how regular are they?

If not, what other options are there?

Im spending 3 nights in Petra - is that enough to see the sights?!

Thanks!!!!!

Petra Travel to Petra from Israel
Posted: Mon May 19, 2008 01:15 AM UTC
We will be traveling on our own throughout Israel and would like to visit PEtra for two full days. Is it best to drive to Eilat and go from there? Are there drivers that can be hired in Eilat to take one all the way to Petra? Is there a better way to do this? Thanks.

Petra Egypt To Petra
Posted: Fri March 30, 2007 08:35 AM UTC
I'm back with more questions. So the bulk of my trip is planned, but through searching on the internet, I found that the beautiful ruins of Petra are within reach of Egypt. I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to get from Alexandria or Cairo to Petra. I have 3 days to do this. I would like to leave on the 26th of May from either Cairo or Alexandria (preferably Alexandria) to Petra. Do a day tour in Petra the 27th and return to Cairo either that night or early on the 28th. Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys,

Petra Petra Hotels
Posted: Tue February 27, 2007 12:35 PM UTC
Hi, I will be travelling in a group of 5 to Petra for 2 nights at the end of March. We need to choose between the Petra Gate and the Petra Moon Hotel. The Petra Moon is more expensive, but seems to have a better location etc. Is the Petra moon the better option here, or is Petra Gate worth the savings in money?

Thanks in advance

Petra 2 day trip Jerusalem to Petra
Posted: Mon February 19, 2007 07:04 PM UTC
I would like to visit Petra from Jerusalem - it has to be between 20-22 March, i.e. midweek, but the trips I've seen online all start on a Sunday.
I would much prefer an all-inclusive trip, but of course can make my own way to Eilat by bus. Grateful for any ideas!

Petra Jerash
Posted: Sun January 28, 2007 07:42 PM UTC
I am arriving at 0855 sharp at the airport and wants to go first to Jerash and spend few hours there and head to Petra afterwards maybe catching a late road trip via bus and stays there for two days. I am concerned about the restricted time travelling to and from Jerash and catching the bus to Petra in either JETT bus or at Wahedat Station. Any recommendations on how I can do this in the best possible way without wasting even a valubale minute? Many thanks in advance.

By the way, from Jerash, which bus or what shall I do to go back to the city to catch a bus to Petra? Thanks again.

Petra Eilat to Petra?
Posted: Fri January 26, 2007 07:00 AM UTC
Hi!

May I get some advice. Firstly, is it safe to go to Petra on a group from Eilat for a few days? I heard of some recent bombings in Jordan at tourist sights, what do you think? I am a solo female traveller (first time) and will be in Israel for most of my trip. Secondly, can I get my visa at the border? Can you recommend a tour company in Eilat that takes people on 2 day trips to Petra? How would the visa work if I went with a tour? Please recommend a non-religious tour company, the one that was recommended on this site was a Christian tour company. Nothing wrong with that, it's just that I am Jewish and don't want anything religious, non-denominational would be ideal.

Thanks!
