Hi There,
I'm planning on having a tour in ilocos norte, mostly in museums with my 2 children in december this year. May I ask what is the best date would you reckon we can go? We will be coming from Olongpao City, may you please advise if its best to travel by land or air? Would it be possible on a day tour only or would you recommend for a 2 days tour?

We are a family of 7 adults, 3 kids and a toddler arriving by Cebu Pacific to Laoag on Sept 26 at 5pm and will be departing to Manila on Sept 28 at around 5pm din. Can you please suggest the best itinerary for a tour covering Laoag, Vigan and Pagudpud (in any order, as long as we can make the most out of our schedule)?

Assuming we have our own van to go around, magkano kaya ang budget for gas, toll fees, meals and entrance fees?

Baka may masuggest din kayong hotels dyan na ok din for the kids (may pool or playground), your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

we will be going to laoag this august 19, and we want to go to paoay church before going to pagudpud the next day. what should i take? bus going to paoay? and do u know any contact even a tricycle for rent to paoay? :-)

we haven't got time that's why ,the paoay church is the only site we will visit in loaog.


NOTE:("gimme some tips " is there any near tourist spot in the paoay area only )

1. guys which is more idealistic coming from manila is it L-P-V OR P-L-V ?
2. can u suggest an itenery and contact ?

I live in Leyte & would like to come to laoag in Nov. 2009. What ships stop there from Tacloban or Southern Leyte? How about from Manila? If no ships what would be the cheapest way to get there? Thanks

going to laoag in october. 4 of us. MUST rent a car for 4 days. are there rental car agenies @ the airport? i'm not having much luck on the internet. also looking for a "nice" hotel. HELP!!!

My friends and I (10pax) are visiting Laoag on May 30-June 1. Here are the details/bookings that we have already confirmed so far:
- Arrival in Laoag on May 30, 11:10am (via PAL)
- Departure from Laoag on June 1 at 7:35pm
- 2 nights accommodation at Kapuluan Vista Resort
- Van Rental for the whole Ilocos Trip.

The only detail missing right now is our itinerary. Originally, we planned to have it this way:
Day 1
- Laoag Tour upon arrival in Laoag airport (visit Laoag spots -> Paoay -> Batac)
- then proceed to Pagudpud late afternoon for hotel check-in
Day 2
- Tour around Pagudpud
Day 3
- Check-out from Pagudpud resort, leave early for Vigan tour
- Vigan tour at around lunch time then head back to Laoag for flight back to MNL

I just want to ask if this is a recommended itinerary? Or will it be better for us to visit Vigan first? Then schedule Pagudpud and Laoag-Paoay-Batac tour on Day 2-3?

Also, can you please advice the sequence of places to visit in Vigan, Pagudpud and Laoag?

a friend and i are planning to go to laoag on feb 6-8 but i have just known that it is the city's fiesta. is it ok to go there when theres a big event going on? im worried that we wont be able to maximize our trip since people would be very busy with the said affair so there might be no drivers or guides available to tour us around. by the way, what days of the week & time does the marcos maouseleum usually opens to visitors? anyone who can answer my concerns, pls do reply. thanks alot!!!

where in Laoag proper is the bus terminal going to pagudpud? I'm planning to drop by Burgos to see the lighthouse and the falls then head to Bangui for the windmills? are there frequent jeepneys from Burgos to Bangui or tricycles? You think how much is the regular fare of tric from Burgos to Bangui? then from Bangui to pagudpud... are there jeepneys? instead of getting a tour I would like to do it like this to experience more excitement.....

My husband and I are planning to go to Laoag via Cebu pacific this coming March (weekend).. Since this trip will be our 1st trip to Laog city,may i see for help what is the good itenerary from day 1 to day 3.. We are planning to go to Laoag then to Pagudpod and if we have time we will visit also Vigan... in Laoag if there is any transient house that is nice and will not cost as much in hotel rates since we want to maximize our trip in visiting many important ad beautiful places in that area.

How much budget will we need for 3D/2N trip? any suggestions on the places that we will visit? is public transportation available & how much it will cost us... And lastly my husband & i so much love on swimming, may i seek also for ur help what resort or beach is good to stay but not as overnite because we are planning to sleep at Laog trasient.

Is it true that it is still 6 hours from Laoag to Bagiuo and vice versa? Do these buses pass by Vigan? If not, how many hours is it between Vigan and Baguio?

Hi, can someone advice on where we should stay in laoag?
we are scheduled to arrive at laoag airport around 8 pm. we plan to stay at a hotel, but most prefferably at a transient house/room for the night and go just go to pagudpod in the morn.

i have read about tiffany's, its nice but a bit pricey for an overnight stay (php 950 for 2 +12%tax +service charge).
any other options you can offer?

I understand the 8-9 hours' bus ride from Laoag to Manila can be done overnight. Does anybody have more details on when it leaves (does it stop in Vigan), and how comfortable the seats are? It's not a sleeper bus with berths by any chance?

I'm travelling with my mum so I'm trying not to be too cruel with her, I tend to travel "rough" and forget she's not 25 anymore :)

a. what is the best IT from Friday 730pm - Sunday 755pm?
b. wat hotels u can recommend that is affordable?

are there any transportation at Laoag International Airport during the night? we'll arrive thre 8pm. i'm afraid we'll be stranded for a night because i've read in a blog that there is no taxi at Laoag, though jeepney/tricycle will do, i would want to confirm if there are jeeps/tricycle even at night... thank u in advance.. :D

Would anyone please know if there are entities, even persons in Laoag (or Vigan) where I can rent a motorbike (with driver) to roam around the province? Am not too keen on riding/driving myself alone as am not too familiar with what to see and where to turn - thus, the driver can be my guide too!

Motorbike is my most preferred, but if there'll be none I can go for a car, and if none still... can a tricycle roam the province and Ilocos Sur?

First time I roamed there years ago, we were on a van straight from Manila and it felt like we were real tourists (not good hehe). Second time, a friend and I went jeep riding from Laoag to everywhere (fun but we ran out of time). This time am alone and just got 2.5 days and 2 nights. And oh, this time I'll have a camera hehehe (just a P&S). And am too ambitious to want to cover everything from Patapat down to Candon if possible.

Any suggestions please?

my husband n 3 kids ages 12, 9 n 6 are going 2 laoag via pal on may 24 arriving 11:15am. We are checking in at fort ilocandia n will b going 2 pagudpud d following day. We will stay at apo idon beach resort for 2 nights n head back 2 laoag on may 27 for our 11:55am flt to manila . Can anyone help me on how 2 tour vigan, laoag n pagudpud? Is there a van/jeep/car we can rent 4 our whole stay there? How much is d rate? It will b better 4 us 2 rent a van/jeep/car so there will be no hustle in transferring fr one place 2 another if we take public transport since we got 3 kids. Do u think we can go 2 vigan on our first day n tour d place 4 d whole afternoon den tour laoag d ff day b4 we head 4 pagudpud? Any suggestions will be a big help. Thanks!
