Pakistan Ziarats in Saudi Arabia
Posted: Mon July 21, 2008 04:30 AM UTC
AOA, I have planned to perform Hajj with my wife in 2009, INSHALLAH.

I want to know if Haji's are allowed to travel around in Saudi Arabia for Ziarat's during Haj season? When I say Ziarat, I am not referring to ordinary Ziarat that every one while in Mecca and Madina perform. I would like to explore further.

Further, any one can recommend a book with in depth information on places to visit there.

Many thanks.

Lahore coocoo's den
Posted: Thu July 3, 2008 03:56 AM UTC
hi all,
i've heard so much about coocoo's den and the controversy of the owner who is also an artist. i also hear it has a beautiful view of the city at night and some great food, but my fiance thinks this isn't a good place to take me. i think he wants to protect me from the red light district and the "bad eyes" of men. anyways, any vt'ers been there?? what did you think? would you recommend it?

Pakistan Tour Itinerary Suggestions
Posted: Thu June 12, 2008 03:04 PM UTC
I am looking for an itinerary of Northern Areas and would love any feedback... This is for a three week trip and we budgeting around $200-250 U.S. per person per day for the entire trip.
How does this sound for an itinerary and is that cost in-line? I haven't shopped around yet...

Hey,I am an Indian Hindu interested in travelling across Pakistan. I heard its neccessary to have relations in Pakistan to secure a tourist visa for an Indian. Unfortunately I dont have any relations or friends in Pakistan. Will someone guide me, how its possible to get Pakistan visa for someone like myself. If someone can help me, that will be really great. I do not want any restrictions imposed, I want to travel freely in Pakistan and especially go to NWFP,Gilgit and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Is this possible?

Pakistan . .
Posted: Mon May 26, 2008 09:56 AM UTC
hmm again thanks to all u kind ppl 4 all your views, i'm not sure that my husband wld mind me working with men as i do at my job right now? unless his views change in another country? but im sure he might want me staying at home more just because im white and he wont want too much attention on me, which was a little frustrating coz its only a different skin nothing else but thats just culture stuff i guess.at the moment i'll put the job ideas on hold though as applying for the green card seems to b more complicated than i originally thought. seems like i might have to apply for dual nationality before i can apply for the nicop card, i think!! i was never very good with forms! . . so my plan was to go to the pakistan embassy and ask them for some clarification about my options, however britain being on true form has decided to have a downpour of heavy rain for this week. i thought its suppossed to be spring!? looks more like a gloomy winter out here! - see, thats a good positive about karachi always good weather, maybe a little humid but still miles better than here, just the weathwer here is enough to depress me!

Pakistan Hotel in Lahore
Posted: Thu May 22, 2008 08:50 PM UTC
I was stayed twice in "Lahore Hotel" with my family. I personally found it very good and average price of 1200 rupees double bed room. But my wife wants to change the hotel in our next visit in June2008 first week.
I m a budget traveller so i can afford a hotel within 1500-2000ruppes per day per room having double bed.
Any body please help me the best choices within my given range. The hotel should be much better than "Lahore Hotel" and clean nice decorated rooms, big toilet.
waiting for friends replies in this regard.

Karachi Things to do overnight in the international terminal
Posted: Sat May 10, 2008 12:38 PM UTC
I am travelling through Jinnah Terminal on my way to London in august. I don't want to pay the visa price to stay in a hotel in Karachi so am staying from about 4pm until 12pm the next day before my connecting flight.
Does the Airport have showers?
Are there any comfortable seats to sleep on?
Do all the shops there only accept pakistani money?
How much money should I take?
Thank you for your time.

hi, i am travelling with the missus to lahore in july of this year and would appreciate some help and advice please. we would like to know of any nice 3 or 4 star hotels near the fortress market . last time we stayed at the regency and this was too far away. spent most of the time in taxis. secondly would anyone know if the zeepunaal shop at fortress is still operating, found this to be a league apart in ladies fashion salwar kameez from most other shops. and if there are any other similar shops to this one. thanx
