anyone visit A famosa resort recently?

any idea what's the charge/admission fee to
(1) cowboy town with carnival show (is the show only in weekend?)
(2) waterworld
(3) Animal World Safari
(4) go kart
(5) horse carriage

Are the restaurant expensive? what's the rate on their buffet breakfast / lunch / dinner?

do they provide transfer from malacca city if book room from them? any shuttle bus service to malacca city?

is 3day2night enough?

I am planning a 3D2N trip during the weekends at the end of June. It's been 5 years since I last visited the beautiful Melaka and the previous trip wasn't planned by me, so this is half new to me, hope fellow VTers can help me out.

I would like to know if the Bus terminal in Melaka has been relocated/renovated? Or I will still be dropped at the old bus terminal?

I've read horror reviews about Transtar coach so I'm trying to stay away from it. Would like to try Melaka Singapore Express but would like to know how should i go about getting the tickets? Would like to know the exact location of where the tickets are sold if anyone can help.

This will be a photography trip with my bf, and I would like to get some beautiful sunset or sunrise in Melaka. we should be staying in Aldy stadhuys and wonder if the rooftop is open to guest? Thought it would be nice if we can wake up real early and stay at the rooftop to catch the sunrise (although i'm not sure about the direction where the sun will rise!!! ^^;;;;)

I'll take a transnasional bus from Puduraya station to Melaka on 18 July 08 and will stay 1 night there and on 19 I'll return back to Puduraya. I want to know that can I book for the bus ticket in advance on 18 July? Or I can buy it on 19 July. And for bus no.17 at Melaka,where should I wait for the bus stop on the way back? We went to the Butterfly Park last year and there were no butterflies. The reason given was that there was renovation work and the butterflies escaped! In fact we saw more crocodiles than butterflies in the same park...

So you can bet this time, we are not going to the butterfly park in Ayer Keroh.

Also, can anyone advise which hotel is better, Hotel Puri or Aldy Hotel ? I think both are, more or less, in Bandar Hilir, but I've not stayed in Puri before, so would appreciate some guidance.

Oh, before I forget, there is a popular place for Dim Sum in Jln Laksaman Cheng Ho, its on the ground floor of a 4-storey hotel diagonally opposite the "new" Tan Kim Hock. Does anyone know the name of the Hotel & the restaurant ? The last time I was there (in 2004), it was called Restoran Yum Yum, in Hotel Bentona, but someone told me its changed.

Also, any recommendations for good Chinese seafood ?

please help with following.
I will arrive to Melaka on the 3th. of february, around 6Pm and want to leave to Johor on the 5th, afternoon. Can someone advise the bus schedule from melaka to johor, because the one which i found is not clear.
The other thing, if i have almost two days in Melaka, does it worth to visit D-paradise on one day, and stay in Melaka the other day? If so, how can I get to D -Paradise? I would go around on my own, I mean with bycicle or a buggy.

Between the Grand Continental Hotel (Jalan Tun Sri Lanang)and the Emperor Hotel (Jalan Munshi Abdullah).. Which would you recommend? The pricing are compatible. I will be driving but I still prefer to stay close to the old section of Melaka town since I always find the one way road system of Melaka pretty confusing. Also we are there for only one night so prefer to be close to 'happenings' sites. Which hotel has better location, better view, better looking room and facilities, better breakfast? Thanks!

My family will be travelling to Singapore and Malaysia in november. We are planning to stay in Melacca for about 5 nights before heading for Penang.

We are travelling with a 3-year old and a 9 months old baby, therefore we are talking about staying at a beach resort and do daytrips in to Melacca town.
Do you know of a familyfriendly beachresort nearby?

Is there maybe a familyresort in town with garden and swimmingpool? It is not necessary to stay at the beach since we are heading for Penang afterwards, but we need a pool!

i am planning to visit malacca in couples of day and i plan to arrived in MY at KLIA. How to get from KLIA to malacca ?? is there any bus route from KLIA to mallaca, if by taxi at the airport how much estimate the cost. ?

Can someone tell what the beaches around Melaka are like around the begining of April?

I really like the sound of the town.
I had been thinking of travelling up to Penang from S'pore but as Melaka is so much closer I think we'll go there instead. The only thing is we're a family with 8 & 10 year olds and we'd really like to combine Malaysian culture with a nice beach, on a back backers budget.
Can this be done in Melaka?
