Pulau Tioman Tioman to Kecil
Posted: Mon November 9, 2009 01:23 AM UTC
I was wondering how long it takes for the ferry/bus/ferry trip from Tioman to Kecil? And is it possible to do it in one day if I take the first ferry off of Tioman.

Thanks.

Cameron Highlands Weather updates from up there... anyone?
Posted: Thu October 29, 2009 05:10 AM UTC
Hi I'm reaching cameron tomorrow morning... anyone knows what's the weather like up there? Most of the websites I went to mentioned about the same that it's about 30degcelcius now. I thought that's crazy cos Genting is still about 21degcelcius.

Please, can someone verify this?

Thanks.

Bukit Fraser Fraser's Hill Updates
Posted: Mon October 12, 2009 12:01 PM UTC
I was there last June and noticed that the shops were closed for renovations near the clock tower. I'm just wondering if the shops are up and running. Is the old provision shop still open as we are planning a return trip and are wondering if there will be a chance to buy some beer and liquor to warm ourselves in the night.

Cameron Highlands What to do in Cameron Highlands?
Posted: Tue July 14, 2009 10:53 AM UTC
I have a two-day trip from KL to Cameron Highlands.
Bus up on Day 1 morning (9am departure), bus back on Day 2 evening (4:30pm departure).

How should I fill my time at Cameron Highlands?
I'm staying at Strawberry Park hotel with 2 other people, and we have no form of transportation. I assume there will be taxis for hire.

I know there are lists of activities and places, but I can't really figure out how far they are from each other.

Can someone suggest some two-day itineraries?

Thanks,
Kevin

Cameron Highlands Cameron Highlands during end of Ramadan
Posted: Sun July 12, 2009 06:07 AM UTC
Hi,
My husband and I are planning to go to Cameron Highlands (Tanah Rata) on 17th September and stay for 2 or 3 nights.
I have been told that accommodation from the 18th September to the 22nd September may be hard to get and could be very expensive due to the end of Ramadan long weekend. It was suggested that we should visit before or after these dates and that not only would accommodation be a problem, but public transport as well.
It is difficult for us to change our date, if we don't go on this date, we will miss out on Cameron Highlands altogether.
Can anyone advise if public transport is an issue during this time.
Has anyone been in Cameron Highlands during end of Ramadan and experienced difficulties?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Pulau Tioman Self drive to Mersing- Where to buy Ferry to Tioman?
Posted: Tue April 14, 2009 10:08 AM UTC
HI, I am going to tioman over a long weekend in singapore( public holiday) , driving from Singapore to tioman. I will need to buy ferry tickets to tioman. I know that tickets can be bought at the mersing jetty but as i am going during the peak season ( due to holiday in singapore), will i have problem getting a ticket? As i am travelling with child, do not wish to be stuck at the mersing jetty without a ferry or having to wait long hours for the next ferry.

Any place i can pre-book my ferry ticket? ( I already booked my accomdation seperately. Thanks.

Pulau Tioman Pulau Tioman or Pulau Redang ?
Posted: Thu March 5, 2009 11:15 PM UTC
Hi!
I know this question has been posted a few times, but the are all a bit older.
We are travelling to Malaysia with our 3 kids (9, 7 & 4) mid July and would like about a week on a relaxing island with lots of swimming and snorkelling. I was looking at both Redang and Tioman - what are your thoughts on which one is better - or even any other islands that you would recommend. We don't want it too commercial.
Thanks for your help.

Cameron Highlands Cameron to KL
Posted: Fri November 28, 2008 02:32 AM UTC
Hi all! I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to catch a one way bus from cameron highlands to KL. I'm thinking of doing a SG-Cameron-KL-SG weekend getaway and would like to get a sense if it would be significantly cheaper to buy my own bus tix or just go to a travel agent (where they charge for every darn thing :P).

If anyone knows a bus company that can manage this that would be great too. Thanks! OR any other useful advice would be great too. :)

So some friends an I are planning to go to Cherating Beach for some R&R late November. And I've narrowed it down to two places to bunk at: The Legend Hotel and Bayview Beach Resort.

Is November any good and have you any comments on the places I've put forward? I'd love your opinions :D
