Cameron Highlands Cameron H vs. Kota Kinabalu
Posted: Mon June 9, 2008 09:10 AM UTC
Hi,

We are still in two minds whether we should go to Cameron Highlands as we are definately going to Kota Kinabalu. Is it worth the extra effort to go to CH? If there are just mountains there then I guess we can do that in KK?

Please advice

Thanks

Pulau Tioman Getting around Tioman
Posted: Sun June 1, 2008 12:15 AM UTC
This will be my first time travelling to Tioman Island.
I will be travelling with a group of friends and staying at Paya Beach Resort. On the other hand, my best friend is travelling alone and staying at Berjaya Tioman Suites Resort. I would like to know if there are any means of transportations during the night to get me over to my best friend.

Cameron Highlands Hotel in Cameron Highland?
Posted: Tue May 27, 2008 06:00 PM UTC
Hi,

Can anyone please recommend good+cheap hotels in Cameron Highlands? Should I stay in Pahang and commute to Cameron Highlands during the day?

There are loads to choose from but if you can share your experience, that would be great. I am looking to spend up to 200MYR per night - could spend a bit more if the hotel is really really good

THANKS A LOT

Pulau Tioman Tioman, Malaysia – snorkelling off the beach
Posted: Tue April 29, 2008 05:47 PM UTC
Hi. I am planning my trip to Tioman Island this August and would like to know about good snorkelling places which can be reached just swimming straight from the beach without necessity to rent a boat.

During my stay at Tioman I would like mainly to snorkel but also take a few dives and do some trekking. After thorough research I came to conclusion that the most suitable place for me to stay would be Air Batang (ABC) due to its central location allowing access to jungle trails to Juara and Salang, and due to some remarks about good snorkelling along the beach north off the ABC and on Panuba Beach, Monkey Beach, and Monkey Bay (but I am open to comments on this decision too). I do plan to take some snorkelling trips to places like Renggis and Tulai islands but these are too expensive to do it every day.

Could anybody please provide and detailed information about specific places to snorkel off the beach around Air Batang? Thanks.

Pulau Tioman Diving and Chilling in Tioman
Posted: Mon December 31, 2007 01:28 AM UTC
My wife and I will be going to Tioman in Feb 2008. We've never been there before.

We're looking to find a quiet white sandy beach, with authentic budget chalets and excellent local type food nearby.

Diving shops must also be within walking distance.

Our question is - where exactly in Tioman should we head to?

Thanks All!

Hi

I am from Spore and planning to drive up to Kuantan/East Coast.

Thinking of staying at the Tanjong Jara Resort and read that it is over-rated. Any other recommendations? We just want a nice beach for rest and relax.
