I read somewhere that there is a night train from Baku to Tbilisi. Can someone please confirm this! The day I'd like to go is Sept 23 which is a Saturday. Would it be ok to buy a ticket one day in advance? What would it cost?

I just posted a VT-meeting in calendar for Sept 22 in Baku.

For all those of you who live in Baku or think that you will be there at the time sign-up for what might be the first VT-meeting in Azerbadijan.

I booked my tickets yesterday so at the moment my plans are still pretty vague and I welcome suggestions on what not to miss during three days in Baku. Also, any do and don't s for a first timer in Azerbadijan are very much appreciated!

Off to Baku in the Spring, I would appreciate it if some kind soul could give me some information on the city and it's occupants,climate,hotels etc.

Is there a Bus or Metro from the airport to Baku?
Is there a shared taxi?
How long does it take to get to/from the city with these modes of transportation?

I arrive in Baku at 8am.

I'm moving to Baku for a 6 month internship. I will need a cheap, basic apartment. Any suggestions on how to find one? What is the average price for rent? I'm hoping to live near the center, but would consider other areas if the transportation is simple.

I've visited weather sites to research Baku's weather and get typical temperature and rainfall reports. This is great, but I wondering if anyone out there could tell me what it's actually like? As someone who actually lives there, how would you describe the weather month-by-month? What kind of clothing are you wearing during each season? Thanks!
