Hello - I will be travelling to Kuala Lumpur in August with my wife and my infant daughter. I am currently looking at options to travel to Borneo. Based on my research, Sandakan seems to be our area of choice as our interests include visiting Danum Valley and Kinabatangan River as our preferred options. Spending at Turtle Island Park is also on our radar (we realize we can't do everything). We are interested in viewing the wildlife (orang-utans, monkey's ect.) and nature of Borneo. We are looking at a 3-4 day trip.
Does anyone have suggestions on tour operators or itinerary? Would it be best to book flight/hotels to Sandakan and figure things out from there? We'd prefer a small local guide as opposed to something very touristy.
Would appreciate any insight.

Is the Flying Fox still functioning at KL Tower? If so, is it worth a visit and how much would it be? What else can be done at KL tower except for this, Formula 1 Simulator and revolving restaraunt?

I am coming to Johor in late June and would like to get someone to show me around. I intend moving to either Johor or the Cameron Highlands latter this year, and want to look for areas I might want to live. I will be hiring a car.
I don't care if it is a professional Guide, or just someone that wants to make some money, as long as they know the area.
Thanks

In December this year, we will be travelling to Malaysia via Singapore. Was just wondering if anyone could supply some feedback on what I have organised to date in relation transport, transfers, etc.
1. Fly Sydney to Penang. Transfers booked to E and O Hotel Penang.
2. Train from Penang to Kuala Lumpur. What is the best way to get from Penang to Butterworth?
3. Train from KL to Melacca. Once again, what is the best option here in relation to getting from Tampin train station to Melacca?
4. Train from Melacca to Singapore. Can anyone share their experiences crossing the border by train.
Hope this makes sense!! Thanks

Dear all,
My boyfriend and I will be in and around Kuching from May 26th till June 3rd, visiting Kubah and Bako among others. I know that it's also great timing for the Gawai Dayak festival and I would love to attend a traditional celebration of this festival, e.g. in an Iban longhouse. I've read that longhouses are open on June 1st, but not for the celebrations on the evening of May 31st? I respect that of course, but if there are longhouses that are welcoming visitors, I would love to know.
So, any tips on what's te best way/place to celebrate Gawai Dayak?
Thanks a lot!
Hanneke

Hi,
I will be travelling to Butterworth in July and would appreciate contact details of a reputable English speaking guide/driver who could show us around. I was born whilst my father was with the RAAF stationed in Butterworth in 1962, so would prefer someone with some knowledge of that time.
Thanks!

In Australia - maybe shown elsewehere - we have a TV show called Poh's Kitchen. In one episode, she was cooking in KL and she visited a street at night where there are plenty of outside restaurants, food stalls, etc. I have searched everywhere for the name of this street but have not been able to find it. We will be visiting KL later this year and we would love to visit this area. Many thanks.

Hi,
We are a middle aged couple who will be traveling to Borneo for
7 days starting April 8th. So far, we have only our first 2 nights booked in KK.
We would like to see some wildlife - proboscis monkeys, orangutans etc. We would also like to do
some snorkeling and a jungle cruise. Would flying over to Sandakan be a viable option or would we be just as well to stay in and around KK? ( we have our flight back to BKK booked from KK on Sunday April 15 th.) We would welcome any suggestions for a seven day itinerary.
We look forward to your suggestions.
Thank you.

Hi , I´m looking for a serviced apartment that Is pretty central (close to Bukit Bintang If I can choose but not necessary). Good Internet connection Is a must. I will be staying 3-4 months. The problem Is that the ones I can find Is a bit too pricey. I can be prepared to pay up to 5000RM/month If It´s a good one (but preferable a bit less). A Condo would also be fine but does anyone rent out for so short time ? Or any other suggestion ?
Thanks
/Roger

It was on the news about Melaka Air flying directly to Kuching in early 2012. Does anyone had taken this flight yet? I couldn't find anything about Melaka Air online.
If it is still not available, what's the best transportation to take from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka and from Melaka to Kuching?
Thank you for giving any info.
