Hotel for kids and divers? Dive shop suggestions? Posted: Wed October 14, 2009 02:51 PM UTC
I would like to schedule a trip to Grand Cayman in Feb. 2010. I am looking for a kid friendly place for a 3 and 7 year old. One adult diver, one adult non diver. Would prefer all inclusive because of the kids and who knows what they will or will not eat. Has to have a pool. Any suggestions?
Dive shop recommendation would be apprecipated too.

Getting Married In Cayman Posted: Wed February 11, 2009 07:19 AM UTC
My fiance and I are looking to get married in the Cayman Islands. We are looking recommendations for a Wedding Planner? We heard a company call Inspirations is the best on the islands. Anyone else knows about them and what they do. We look at the website (inspirationsltd.com) and it looks pretty good. I have contacted them and they same pretty good but I am still a bit uneasy about planning long distance.

Looking for temporary housing in Grand Cayman Posted: Wed January 21, 2009 03:38 PM UTC
I am looking for a small apartment on Grand Cayman with a fast internet connection.
I would like to take a long quiet break where I program in peace in quiet.
I also train for triathlons.
If there is a large pool (25 yards or more) and a gym near by, that would be ideal.
I would like to rent the apartment for 3 months, and possibly more if I like the island.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Embroidered Ladies Blouses Posted: Sat January 3, 2009 08:04 PM UTC
Hi,
I will be in the Grand Caymans on January 13, 2009. I am interested in purchasing some embroidered ladies blouses. The ones I want are usually white with very vibrant colorful embroidery on them. Ususally scenes with people and animals. I would concider them to be casual. I have been told that what I am looking for might be found in South America. Do you know of any shops that I might check out while on the Island that migh offer them for sale? Also, I am interested in a Used Book Store or a source to purchase The Little Golden Books in foreign languages.
Thanks,
Lynda

Grand Caymanian Posted: Wed September 24, 2008 01:09 AM UTC
My fiance' and I will be staying at the Grand Caymanian Oct. 4th. I will need to attend to some work via internet while I'm there. Does this resort offer wireless internet & if so, is there a fee?
Also, how much is the boat trip from the Grand Caymanian dock to Stingray City & the reef?

HELP!!! Leaving for Cruise on Saturday Posted: Mon September 8, 2008 06:04 PM UTC
Hi everyone...
I am taking a cruise (1st caribbean cruise) with my husband and we are leaving on Saturday. Grand Cayman is one of the stops that we will be making and I am in need of serious help (lol) of things to do on the island. Grand Cayman is a place that I have always wanted to visit and I want to make sure I make the most out of the day! We arrive at 8AM and leave at 4PM. I am thinking about renting a car...good idea? If so, any places that we MUST visit besides 7 mile beach (any spot that better on the beach?)? Also, if anyone can recommend places to eat for lunch.
Thank you for your help!!!

Looking for a secluded beach Posted: Sun July 13, 2008 03:51 PM UTC
I will be in Grand Cayman for about a week. Are there any secluded beaches where I can watch the sunrise and be alone with my girlfriend, or are all the beaches crowded like 7 Mile Beach?

grand cayman buses Posted: Tue June 3, 2008 02:42 PM UTC
My son and I will be arriving about 4 hours apart. Are there buses at the airpot to take you to seven mile beach hotels. I heard that the cab fare to go just about 5 miles will run about $30.00. I would hate to spend that much money and also have him spend that much money if there is an alternative means of transportation. Thanks

Grand Cayman Buses Posted: Fri May 30, 2008 10:23 PM UTC
Are there any buses at the airport when the planes arrive to take you to your hotel or do you have to take a cab? I heard the cabs cost $35.00 to go to 7 mile beach. This will be my first time to Grand Cayman.

Where to stay? Posted: Wed May 14, 2008 12:07 PM UTC
My husband and I are planning a first time trip to Cayman Island. Need a clean, somewhat secluded hotel. We would like to just relax on beach, walk, read, etc...Usually stay in Marriotts, but thought it maybe to busy. Are hoping to go in the next few weeks. Price is not most important if it is where we want to stay. Any secluded suggestions?

Pre-delivery of groceries? Posted: Sat April 19, 2008 04:46 AM UTC
I'll be in Grand Cayman next week, already dreading the need to hit the market vs. the beach first thing, as we are in a condo and will be cooking in quite a bit. Has anyone tried getting groceries pre-ordered and delivered to the condo ahead of time? Has anyone found a reliable services that we might use? I have tried asking the condo management but they never replied.

How to get to Hell by bus Posted: Wed April 9, 2008 10:35 PM UTC
Hello,
Will be visiting Grand Cayman in January 2009 and would like to know how to get to hell by bus. What bus number and route? I'm guessing we would start from the library.
Also, it is possible to buy an all day bus ticket or must you pay per ride? Thinking about using the bus service as a cheap means of seeing the area but would like to be able to get off and on whenever I'd like.
Thanks for any info,
Shara

Where to Stay - What to See Posted: Thu March 20, 2008 06:49 PM UTC
We are looking to go to Grand Cayman for Christmas holiday 2008. We have checked out a property called the Reef, but it is on the opposite side of the island away from the main towns.
We don't care to rent a car so would need to know the approximate cost of taxis.
What is there to see of interest particularly horticulturaly?
Any info appreciated.

Transportation fromt eh Airport to Morritt's Posted: Sat January 12, 2008 04:26 AM UTC
Hi everyone-
My mom and I and I are arriving at the GCM airport 4 hrs apart next Saturday evening, and our friends are renting a car the next day so we don't want to rent a car.
We'd like to get to our beds at Morritt's Tortga Club somehow, without breaking the bank.
We've called McCurey's shuttle and Conmac, and both are booked, and we've heard cab fare is pretty outrageous.
Anybody have any ideas? Don't think my mom is up for hitching.

How available are taxis at the pier on Grand Cayman Island? Can they take 5 people? Do they accept US dollars or credit cards? What is the fare from the cruise ship area to Boatswains Beach Park?

Rental Car & Bus Posted: Sat November 17, 2007 04:19 PM UTC
We're staying at the east end for a month, in Feb. Near Morrits.
Any suggestions vis a vis transportation? Bus sounds tempting to augment a small car but we're wondering if that makes sense. How far to the bus from the airport etc and how to navigate all that, or is a car the only logical way. When guests come we'll have 6 folks with us and a tiny car won't cut it, but a big car for a month seems silly.
Guests on a bus sounds downright nasty! But then again there is the concept of flexibility and ingenuity!

Accomidation for me and my dog Posted: Tue October 16, 2007 02:56 AM UTC
Hi,
I will be relocating to the Seven Mile Beach area for work in jan 2008. I have a black lab retriever who is very well behaved(he really is); house trained, neutered and a very sweet disposition. I was wondering if there are any dog friendly buildings or landlords out there who would have a room/apartment for us.
With thanks from Canada,
Melissa

accommodation needed Posted: Tue August 21, 2007 05:48 PM UTC
Hi! I'm a medical student from Germany planning to do an elective clerkship at the George Town Hospital on Grand Cayman from March 17th to April 15th 2008. Can anyone give me an advice concerning an affordable accommodation for that period? I'm not looking for anything special, maybe a guesthouse or someone who is looking for a roommate.
Thanks,
Felix
