Grand Cayman Pre-delivery of groceries?
Posted: Sat April 19, 2008 03:46 AM UTC
I'll be in Grand Cayman next week, already dreading the need to hit the market vs. the beach first thing, as we are in a condo and will be cooking in quite a bit. Has anyone tried getting groceries pre-ordered and delivered to the condo ahead of time? Has anyone found a reliable services that we might use? I have tried asking the condo management but they never replied.

Grand Cayman How to get to Hell by bus
Posted: Wed April 9, 2008 09:35 PM UTC
Hello,
Will be visiting Grand Cayman in January 2009 and would like to know how to get to hell by bus. What bus number and route? I'm guessing we would start from the library.

Also, it is possible to buy an all day bus ticket or must you pay per ride? Thinking about using the bus service as a cheap means of seeing the area but would like to be able to get off and on whenever I'd like.

Thanks for any info,
Shara

Grand Cayman First trip to Grand Cayman
Posted: Mon April 7, 2008 04:03 AM UTC
We are traveling there via cruise ship in June and we are bringing the kids this trip, we wanted to know if the 7 mile beach is within walking distance from the ship port? And if not where is a good but not absolutely crowded beach for 3 kids? Thanks

My wife and I are planning a trip at the end of October. What can we expect for weather that time of year (assuming we dodge the occasional hurricane)?

Thanks.

Grand Cayman Where to Stay - What to See
Posted: Thu March 20, 2008 05:49 PM UTC
We are looking to go to Grand Cayman for Christmas holiday 2008. We have checked out a property called the Reef, but it is on the opposite side of the island away from the main towns.
We don't care to rent a car so would need to know the approximate cost of taxis.
What is there to see of interest particularly horticulturaly?
Any info appreciated.

Grand Cayman Transportation fromt eh Airport to Morritt's
Posted: Sat January 12, 2008 03:26 AM UTC
Hi everyone-

My mom and I and I are arriving at the GCM airport 4 hrs apart next Saturday evening, and our friends are renting a car the next day so we don't want to rent a car.

We'd like to get to our beds at Morritt's Tortga Club somehow, without breaking the bank.

We've called McCurey's shuttle and Conmac, and both are booked, and we've heard cab fare is pretty outrageous.

Anybody have any ideas? Don't think my mom is up for hitching.

Grand Cayman Taxi service
Posted: Mon December 17, 2007 02:55 AM UTC
How available are taxis at the pier on Grand Cayman Island? Can they take 5 people? Do they accept US dollars or credit cards? What is the fare from the cruise ship area to Boatswains Beach Park?

Grand Cayman Rental Car & Bus
Posted: Sat November 17, 2007 03:19 PM UTC
We're staying at the east end for a month, in Feb. Near Morrits.

Any suggestions vis a vis transportation? Bus sounds tempting to augment a small car but we're wondering if that makes sense. How far to the bus from the airport etc and how to navigate all that, or is a car the only logical way. When guests come we'll have 6 folks with us and a tiny car won't cut it, but a big car for a month seems silly.

Guests on a bus sounds downright nasty! But then again there is the concept of flexibility and ingenuity!

Grand Cayman Accomidation for me and my dog
Posted: Tue October 16, 2007 01:56 AM UTC
Hi,

I will be relocating to the Seven Mile Beach area for work in jan 2008. I have a black lab retriever who is very well behaved(he really is); house trained, neutered and a very sweet disposition. I was wondering if there are any dog friendly buildings or landlords out there who would have a room/apartment for us.
With thanks from Canada,

Melissa

Grand Cayman accommodation needed
Posted: Tue August 21, 2007 04:48 PM UTC
Hi! I'm a medical student from Germany planning to do an elective clerkship at the George Town Hospital on Grand Cayman from March 17th to April 15th 2008. Can anyone give me an advice concerning an affordable accommodation for that period? I'm not looking for anything special, maybe a guesthouse or someone who is looking for a roommate.

Thanks,
Felix

Grand Cayman Roommate Wanted & Advice Needed!! :)
Posted: Mon April 30, 2007 04:32 PM UTC
Hi! I'm moving to the Caymans around the first of July, and would like to find at least one roommate, and am open to a bigger place with more than one roommate as well. I am a 23 year old female from the US, and would really prefer roommates that are similar to my situation. I have no clue what to expect to pay, although in the states I pay $1,000 per month for my one bedroom apartment, so I'm guessing it's around the same, if not more. I would love to hear anyone advice on how to go about finding good roommates and also what to expect to pay and where we should look at renting. Also, once I'm there, how do I get a car on the island? I assume I need to just buy one there. I am hoping to get an old Jeep to just get me from place to place and haul around my scuba gear... Any suggestions??? Thank you!!! :)

Grand Cayman Looking for Apartment and/or Roommate
Posted: Mon April 23, 2007 12:08 AM UTC
Hi, I've been offered a position with the Cayman Government and will be relocating from San Diego, CA in early May 2007. I am looking for an apartment or condo for rent in Georgetown or somewhere nearby, maybe South Sound. I am open to rooming with someone who has a place with a room available, or perhaps coordinate moving into a place together and sharing expenses.

I've lived abroad in Singapore, Hong Kong, Jakarta and the UK. Finding the right location and a great roommate would be fantastic!

Please let me know if you've had any luck with this website, found a roommate, or have any suggestions on other sites that may be helpful.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi all,

I will be moving from Australia and have a job in Grand Cayman and my 18 year old daughter would like to come with me. Can you arrive there and then find work? What would be the best way. She has experience in Bar/Cocktail/Waiter/Retail service. Any recruitment agencies there that do this sort of thing??

Thanks in advance.
