So I am definitely going to Tobago for the first two weeks of July... I'll be travelling solo.

Are there any acommodation recommendations that anyone can give me for both Tobago and Trinidad? As I have no clue about either island I am clueless with regards as to what area to stay in. Any tips would be very much welcomed!

Is it better to book beforehand or is it cheaper to book on arrival?

Are there any must sees or dos that anyone would recommend or any tips in general?

Thank you in advance!

I am about to book a flight to Tobago for June. There is a few questions that I would like to put to you.

1) What is the weather like at this time of year?
2) I am from the UK, will I be able to use my debit card in ATM machines. Is there any problem with using credit cards?
2) How easy would it be to get from Tobago- Trinidad- Venezuela and back again?
3) Or to go from Tobago - Venezuela?

On the map Venezuela looks really close, but of course that doesn't always translate into you being able to get to a place with ease, especially where there is water involved!

Ok, so I booked my flight and am leaving in 10 days, but was super slack about checking whether I need a visa, and just found that I do for T&T. I have to do a mad dash and get everything sent to London for processing (I'm in Sweden now), but what they are asking for is going to be difficult, as in two references of people who know me well in T&T. Just for a tourist visa? Have I downloaded the worng visa application? Has anyone from NZ been to T&T and gone through the process? I also found on the official T&T site regarding immigration (http://www.immigration.gov.tt) that I may simply arrive with a visa waiver filled out, which is not the information I got when I called the high commission in London. Another person told me that I amy be able to arrive without the visa and get one on arrival, but that the airline here in Sweden may not let me on the plane without a proper visa...Can anyone clarify what i need to do? I am in a desperate hurry.
Thanks a million in advance,
Damon

I am currently planning a new trip to tobago for mid September ... diving will be the activity for me ( Tobago Dive Experience )!

I will be staying at Manta Lodge in Speyside.
However, I do have a friend that is living in Trinidad and will be visiting Tobago, staying in Crown Point.

From my understanding, Speyside to Crown Point is about an hours drive.
What are my options to get to Crown Point from Speyside? And if I do take a taxi does anyone know the approximate cost of this cab ride?

Any reviews or suggestions on Manta Tobago Dive, experience or Speyside are welcome.

Thank you very much for your time.

Hi,

I have just booked a couple of nights accomodation at a beach house in tobago and have been asked to pay into a british bank account which I have done.
Is this usual - suddenly felt panicked that this may be some scam.

Hiya,

I hope someone can help me - I am planning a trip to Tobago in early August with my family. We went to Antigua at the same time last year and found the numerous jellyfish a problem, as my children refused to go into the sea! Do you know if we are likely to encounter a similar problem in Tobago? Thanks for any advice.
