Hi, I am staying at the Country Inn Amador for 3 days and wanted to know if there is a market/liquor store within walking distance or if there is an available map showing the area around the hotel. Also, any suggestions for a possible day trip while in Panama City would be appreciated. I travel extensively and do not like the big group thing but enjoy seeing the country's beauty and meeting her people. Thank you so much for any assistance.

Has anyone by chance stayed at Las Vegas Suites Hotel in Panama City? I will be visiting Panama City in a few weeks and wanted to see if anyone knew anything about the hotel. Thanks in advance for your help with this.

It looks like I'm not the first to post this...but I've got a fairly lengthy lay over in Panama City this Thursday- 2/15. I get in around 9am. Would like to see what I can before 6pm...but the tour companies I've contacted are booked up. Anyone out there know of a driver or would be willing to play tour guide for me? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi, i am thinking about taking a 4 week course in panama city, the schools name is Spanish Panama, and included in the price is accomodations at Anitas Inn Hostel which is right above the school. The location is gives is

"In the heart of Panama City, in El Cangrejo (next to the main business district)
just off Via Argentina on the road between Restaurant Trapiche and Restaurant Manolo"

My question is has anyone heard of this school, or know this location, and what are your thoughts about this?? please any info u have would be great!! :)

I have about a 9.5 hour layover in Panama City. Is that enough time to go into the city? Or is that long of a layover not even worth it and I should find different flight?

Where should we be for celebrating New Year's Eve (quetion mark here, mine's not working) Or should we start heading north and celebrate somewhere else in the country(qm) We speak Spanish and we prefer places with more local people than tourists.

I'm coming to Panama City in January and will be staying a couple of weeks and need a well priced central hotel with WiFi or at least broadband in the rooms. I found the Crystal Suites hotel (crystalsuites.com) which looks ideal. Can anyone comment on it, it's cleanliness, security, etc.

I grew up in the late 60s early 70s in panama and I am coming back to panama for a visit next week. Can anyone tell me if Fort Davis is still standing and if you can drive through there? how about Fort Clayton? thanks!

I am looking for means to travel to David from Panama City and not take the bus. My back is not up to long bus rides. I need some room for my baggage and will pay for transport. Perhaps we can share a ride. I speak some Spanish but don't want to rent a car. Any Ideas? This will be in Jan 07.

My husband and I are thinking of going to Panama in October. He wants to stay at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort for the ambience and ecological aspects, and I want to stay at the Radisson Decrapolis for the location. I figure we can still do the ecological tour thing from Panama City. He figures we can still do the panama canal tour and city visit from the Gamboa. Any thoughts? Anyone stay at either of these hotels? And if so would you recommend either one?

A friend needs to stay just one night in Panama and she's looking for any tip on accomodation for about USD 40, centrally located.
I found the Hotel Costa Inn for that price but I'd like to get some other option to make a good choice.
So, any comment on the Costa Inn is appreciated as well as any other hotel info.

My boyfriend and I are coming to Panama City for 8 nights in December.
We were thinking of just staying in Panama City and then traveling around to see places (probably in tours). We would obviously like to do the Canal, but also do the Embera Village tour, Monkey Island and the Gamboa Rainforest resort (boyfriend is big on rainforests). Is it OK to just stay in Panama City or should we look at spending a few days outside?
Also, could anyone recommend a nice hotel in Panama City, close to restaurants, sights and shops?

We will be coming into panama city on the 8th of august and will be staying for a week .

Do you have any suggestions for a reasonable hotel/motel and the approx. prices ?

We want to go travel into the mountains for a day or two during this trip . One of the reasons is to check out possible property up there . What towns or cities would you suggest and what is the best way to get there , again we are on a budget this trip .

places to go salsa dancing. I don't care whether the places are clubs or if
they are more like group events - I'm just looking for the best dancers. I am

I plan to visit Panama City, Panama for one month. Is there anyone who can give me information as to when would be the best time of the year to go in order to escape the high humidity.
