| Berlin | Best Currywürste in Berlin Posted: Sun July 6, 2008 01:30 PM UTC
I love Currywürste, but you have to know where to find them in Berlin. I used to go to a lovely place in front of the Memorial Church, but I don't remember its name. So:
a) Do you happen to know the name of that place? b) What's the best place for Currywürste in Berlin, in your opinion? c) I've heard wonders about a restaurant near Mehrindgamm subway station. Have you ever been there? |

| Berlin | Easyjet flights out of Berlin and accom Posted: Sat July 5, 2008 11:25 PM UTC
We are wanting to be a bit flexible and leave our options open to fly Berlin Geneva on either Sun 27th or Mon 28th , depending on how much fun we are having - there are flights available on Easyjet on both days, but much cheaper on the Monday. My question is - do you think its best to make up our mind before we leave to europe on 17th July and look at the situation once there? Is is safe to just gamble on a stand by ticket - they may get expensive closer to departure. Any feedback appreciated.
Have tried Wotif of hotels , not bad between 55 and 75 euros, any other central accom recommended? Do you have any comments on Easyjet generally - reliability etc Thank you |

| Berlin | Hotel and City Tourh for Berlin Posted: Sat June 28, 2008 11:08 AM UTC
Hi Guys,
I will be in Berlin for about a day. To be specific, I will reach there at around 3 PM and depart next morning at 8am. Since it is a very short period, I would like to utilize it best way possible and need your help on: 1. Please help me out with the hotel which is right next to the train station as I need to catch a morning train to Prague. 2. It would be great if the hotel is a clean one but cheap. 3. Any tour guide who provides city tour that starts around 5 pm. Thank you. |

| Berlin | Small and cosy accomodation in Berlin Posted: Wed June 25, 2008 05:41 PM UTC
Hi everybody, I am spending 4 days in Berlin middle of September with my husband. We are looking for a nice but not so expensive accomodation (I have already checked many tips but the hotels I like are really too expensive), centrally located (near Ku'damm or Mitte) and possibly not too big. I'd love a small hotel or a bed&breakfast.
Thanks! |

| Berlin | Trip to Berlin Posted: Wed June 18, 2008 12:54 AM UTC
I'm planning to go to Berlin with 6 friends (so 7 ppl in total) and i've read some stuff on this site (cant really find such a helpful site elsewhere)...i need some final advice though...
1) I and my friends love walking around during the day...we also love the nightlife (who doesnt?! lol)...so my question is: what's the best part of the city to stay in with both daytime\night-time stuff and with no public transport need? Mitte? Friedrichstraße? 2) I've obviously checked few hostels...but what are the best (and cheapest) ones in the 1) area ? Just to clear my needs: a friend of mine wants to go to Prague...AGAIN! I've been there twice and he did 4 times...it's beautiful, but i definitively need something else! :D So, I need to submit him a cheap\good trip in Berlin, since I'm really looking forward to go there! Any advice is really appreciated. Thx in advance, Luca |

Also, any recommendations for Antwerp I would additionally appreciate. Thank you!! Heather |

| Berlin | First timers from Mexico and can't decide what part to stay in. Posted: Fri June 6, 2008 05:57 PM UTC
Hello, everyone:
We are very excited to be visiting Berlin during last two weeks of July. TWO WEEKS !!! Many visitors come here, to Mexico City, and are always very excited when they post their questions on these travel forums, and now I know how they feel. We just don't know what part of the city to stay: we're trying to book hotel in advance but would like some advice. Our problem is, we come from third-world country (Mexico) and bring our third-world earnings to spend in a very expensive first-world city. Trying to find hotel for under 70 euros, but still with air-conditioning and normal amenities (like maybe internet??). I just don't know where to start looking: namely, which part of the city. Obviously we wish to stay centrally and not spend a lot of time every day traveling the S and U bahns just to get to the general area that we'd like to see. In most other European capitals it's easier: you just stay in the old, central part of town where you normally find lots of cheap hotels. But of course Berlin is different. Any suggestions? Thanks!! | Land Berlin | Left Luggage / Secure Storage in Berlin Posted: Mon June 2, 2008 08:36 AM UTC
Hi,
I'm planning to go to a festival in Delitzsch (Germany) in July (I'm English, so I'll be coming from the UK), and I'll be travelling alone. I'm looking to Fly into Berlin-Schönefeld late on Thursday night (landing at 22:45 local time), get a train to the festival early Friday, then fly back Monday in the late afternoon. The problem I have is that I'd rather not risk leaving my plane tickets, and more importantly my passport, in my tent while I'm off enjoying myself. So, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of possible places which I could store my valuables for 3 nights? I’ll be flying in and flying out from Berlin-Schönefeld, as well as going via Berlin Hauptbahnhof on the Thursday night (heading to the hotel), Friday morning (heading the festival), and Monday (on my way back to the airport). I'm aware that there's a left luggage office, as well as luggage lockers at airport, and there's a left luggage office at train station. Does anyone have experience with these and can recommend either way? If anyone thinks that me leaving such valuable items in locker/luggage office is a really really bad idea, please tell me - because I’d really rather not find this out the hard way. Thanks, Andrew |

| Berlin | New Zealand family seeking apartment in Berlin Posted: Mon May 19, 2008 01:39 PM UTC
I am a New Zealand artist and musician traveling with my musician partner and our 6 year old child. We are currently in Bejing, where I'm doing an artist residency and flying to Berlin on the 1st of July.
We've never been to Europe before but have heard very good things about Berlin in regard to both the art and music scenes. We are interested in staying there at up to a year all going well. We have already found a school which looks very interesting for international kids but we're concerned about where we'll live. Can anyone tell me of English language sites worth looking at for apartment rental? we'll be on a limited budget. Also we had heard that Prenzlauer Berg was a good place for art etc but is that now getting overpriced? Does anyone have any idea of the average rentals? |

| Land Berlin | Good Area to rent an apartment in Berlin Posted: Tue May 13, 2008 10:28 AM UTC
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with my search to find an area to rent an apartment in Berlin.
I'll be in Berlin to do some internship/work experience in September 08 and am wondering where a good area is to rent in for someone on a budget (but not too small a budget)? I'd still like to be fairly central. If anyone could give me some pointers as to where to look for an apartment (websites or good areas), or any other tips, I'd be very grateful. Thank you! |
