My best friend and I are going to stay at the Oasis Canoa in September. We plan to fly into Santo Domingo, spend one night and day visiting the city and then go to the Oasis Canoa. How is the road? Should we drive or rent a taxi? Also, once at the Canoa, what are the best day trips we can do? We are into snorkeling, hiking, and visiting towns, etc. Should we change dollars into pesos? What is the best rate? Any advice will be appreciated!

can i swim with dolphins in Bayahibe? if not - where is the nearest place to do it?

We are booked to stay in the Haciendus Dominicus in Bayahibe in July. I am petrified of spiders especially large ones, do many turn up in the hotels and whats the best way to avoid them? Read Scubacats review about a trip out and there being loads of tarantulas, please can someone if this is what happens when you go inland

What is the windsurfing like at Casa del Mar? Is the equipment reasonably modern? Is it possible to use the equipment every day? Thanks.

My future husband & I will be visiting Dominican Rep. on December, and will be lodged in Bayahibe. We are wondering if we will be able to find a catholic mass on Sunday - where and when.If there is no mass right there in Bayahibe, can anyone please tell me where I can find one?

I'd like to get married at the Hacienda Iberostar Dominicus in bayahibe but we got engaged at Altos de Chavon and would love to go there (in full wedding outfits!) for some great photos after the wedding service.
How far away is it and how would you recommend 15 - 20 people get there?

I am flying into Santo Domingo, and staying at the Dominicus Palace. How long is the ride from airport to resort? I know it is about 140km, but I don't know how the roads are. Please advise.

My wife & I will be visiting Dominican Rep. for the first time next month staying at the Coral Canoa. Can anyone that has stayed at the resort give us some information and your impression? What are some things that stand out from your visit as must dos?
