Paris Transport CDG - Asnières sur Seine
Posted: Sun September 7, 2008 11:17 AM UTC
Bonjour and hello!
Arriving tomorrow at Paris airport Charles de Gaulle with quite some luggage, I´d like to know how to get to Asnières sur Seine (av.d'Argenteuil) the best way in order not to have to carry my stuff around a lot.
Alternatively, do you have any idea of how much a taxi would cost (approximately)?
Merci!!!

Taiwan Taiwan info
Posted: Sun September 7, 2008 11:11 AM UTC
I will be visiting Taiwan for the first time in mid December, flying in to Taipei, then overland to places such as Miaoli...Tonpo...Tainan...Kaohsiung....
My questions:
•Are there any restrictions on the bringing in and use of still & video cameras ?
•What would the weather be like in mid December ? Rain ? Temperature ? Suitable attire ?
•Currency: Are credit cards widely acceptable ? Traveller's checks in US$ ?
•Language - is English understood and widely used ?
•Are the people conservatively "Asian (Chinese)" or mainly "Westernized"

Please provide other advices and information.

Thanks.

We are thinking of taking advantage of one of these "around the world' deals. Has anyone got any advice for me? How does it work? Is it worth it? We are starting (and ending) in Australia.

Perth Trip to Perth and Margaret River Region
Posted: Sun September 7, 2008 10:34 AM UTC
We are heading to Perth in October for the Mandurah Boat Show and then have a couple of weeks holidays. We want to tour the Margaret River region and have a few wines and was wondering if anyone could recommend things to see and do in the region. We were also thinking of staying overnight on Rottnest Island would you recommend this and if so where is the best place to stay.
We want to visit Fremantle and stay in that area for a couple of nights as well. Any and all recommendations will be appreciated.

Hi all,

I am going to Brussels with the eurostar but have booked hotel in Brugge. I'll be spedning few hours in Brussels and have to get to Brugge in the evening.

Is there a direct train from Brussels to Brugge? Perhaps a direct coach? I had a look at the www.b-rail.be but I couldn't find useful info.

Your help is appreciated.

Tucson Neighborhoods in Tucson
Posted: Sun September 7, 2008 09:46 AM UTC
Hi, I've been living (on and off) in Tucson for the past two years and I still can't find a reasonable area to rent a house/apartment in. I'm a full-time grad student and work part-time and currently live in an 1 bed-room apartment in the central NW. I want to be very close to the University and would prefer to upgrade to 2 bedroom house or guest house near the University and in a safe area, but everything seems outrageously priced. For those long term residents, I'd appreciate any advice. Ideally, I'd love a large guest house in the Sam Hughes area, but they seem impossible to find (oh, and I want to live alone). If you have recommendations for other areas that are safe and close to the U, I'd appreciate the insight. Also, if you know of anyone renting a reasonable guesthouse or house that sounds right please let me know or pass the word. Thanks!!

Guangzhou were outside China can I buy books about Guangzhou?
Posted: Sun September 7, 2008 08:55 AM UTC
Dear reader,

My name is Rene and I'm from Tilburg, the Netherlands.

In may I we visited Guanzhou for some time, because that's the place were we met our adoption-daughter.

The city of Guanzghou really made a big impression!!

I visited the town by subway (went super!) and I've been to some really new places such as the Tainhe new town, I saw the incredible tv-tower, but I also went to places a lot of tourists go to, like the River side.

Why do I send you this mail?

I'm looking for books about the city of Guangzhou - books with pictures and english words about the town.

But'it's not possible to get such books. I tried different international bookstores (such as amazone), but the only book about Guangzhou is a city-map.
I'm sure that there must be a lot of books about a city that's so big and to impressive like Guanzghou!

I hope you could write me (mai)adresses of organisations, stores and so on, who has those books about Guangzhou.

You understand that is't not only for me interesting but also for my daughters (the first one also came from Guangzhou)!

I hope you will read my mail and respond.

I thank you a lot for your attention and wish you a good day.

All the best from Tilburg, Netherlands.
