West Java Province TRANSPORT FROM JAKARTA AIRPORT
Posted: Mon April 7, 2008 09:15 AM UTC
We will be arriving at Jakarta airport, and plan to head to Java's western coast (Carita). Does anyone know whether it is possible to go west on public transport without having to transfer in Jakarta first? Are there any direct or indirect buses or will this be too difficult?

Bali Honeymoon in Bali- Weather in May/June 2008
Posted: Tue March 4, 2008 12:56 AM UTC
Hello Travel Friends,

We're planning our honeymoon and we narrowed it down to two places. Bali is one of the places - and we are really excited about it but we want to confirm the typical weather during the time of year before we book the travel plans.
Can anyone please let me know what the weather is like from 5/26-6/13 in Bali? Thanks!

Bali Transport to Candidesa & Hotels in Kuta & Ubud
Posted: Wed November 14, 2007 03:30 AM UTC
Dear members

1.I will be in Bali from 21 -29 Jan.2008. I would like to know what is the cheapest means of transport from the Airport to Puri Bagus Hotel Candidesa. I was quote a US35 with a driver for 4 pax. However I'm travelling alone, unless I can share with somebody, that will be a bit expensive for me.

2. I would like to stay in Ubud for a night. Prefer a hotel in town that cost less than US20. Any suggestions and contact addresses ?

3. Is there any cheap hotels (below US20) with bathroom attached in Kuta or Legian area. I stayed in Bali Summer (behind Hard Rock Hotel) before, but rates had gone up. I heard about Express Legian Hotel, Jl Legian and Bali Bungaloo,Jl Pantai Kuta, is it OK and how much ?

4. How much is the rent for a car one full day with a diver, is US50 expensive ?

Thank you. Looking forward for some help form VT members who are an expert on Bali.

Bali VT Meeting
Posted: Fri October 19, 2007 08:13 AM UTC
Guys,

After having a big fight at the office for a leave entitlement, finally the big boss approve my leave. Since there is a bigger crisis in Middle East, my fight was not well captured in the news.

Anyway, I’ll be in Bali on 10-18 November 2007.

I think it would be great to meet Bali VT members at that time. I would love to have breakfast, lunch, dinner, drink or whatever with you all or other VT members who just happens to be in Bali at that time.

Details as follows:

Place: open for suggestion.
Time: open for suggestion.

Cheers,

West Java Province Proper Attire for a Woman in Bandung
Posted: Thu November 23, 2006 09:48 PM UTC
What would be the proper attire for a woman in Bandung? (I have just asked Simonyet, who was kind enough to reply to my initial questions, but I am a new member and not certain if the question was posted in the correct place on the site).

Many thanks,

West Java Province Travel from Jakarta to Bandung
Posted: Thu November 23, 2006 01:51 AM UTC
My husband is an academic and is invited to a conference in Bandung in January. The plane lands in Jakarta and I wondered if it is safe to travel by car from Jakarta to Bandung (a two hour drive through the country)? He expects to be "escorted" by at least one student from the university.

Any information you can share about one's safety in this part of the world, and specifically the above trip and staying in Bandung, would be much appreciated.
