Yogyakarta Special Region Need some info on prices of leather bag in Yogjakarta
Posted: Sat July 19, 2008 07:46 PM UTC
Hi all,

Need some information on the average prices of buying a leather beg in yogjakarta, as my aunt's (note that it's not singular) and mom are asking me to buy them the leather bag there.. Currently doing some claculation on my budget, on how much to bring.

And another thing, anyone heard of "AS JAVA LEATHER" shop in Yogjakarta. Do they cater to single purchases or need to order and buy in bulk? and is their bag is price expensive or affordable?

Yogyakarta Yogyakarta --> Solo --> Mt. Bromo --> Ijen --> Surabaya
Posted: Sat July 12, 2008 01:56 PM UTC
Hi!

1. Sunrise at Borobudur and dawn at Prambanan, which is better and worth more to see?

Regarding Dieng Plateau tour:
2. Should I go there when I'm in Jogyakarta or after I reach Solo?
3. How much does the tour normally cost and how long does it take?

Solo -> Mt. Bromo -> Ijen -> Surabaya
4. Is this arrangement possible?
5. Does this arrangement take a longer time? If yes, about how many days?

Thanks!

Yogyakarta Yogyakarta --> Solo --> Surabaya --> Mt. Bromo
Posted: Fri July 11, 2008 02:50 PM UTC
Hi, I plan to begin my trip at Yogyakarta, then Solo, Surabaya and Mount Bromo.

1. Is my arrangement in the right order?
2. How long should I stay in each place?
3. If I go from Solo to Surabaya by train, I should go aboard at Solobalapan or Solojebres, then stop at Surabaya Gubeng, Kota or Pasarturi?
4. How safe are these places, especially for female travelling alone?

Thanks a lot! :)

Yogyakarta Ramayana ballet
Posted: Sat May 24, 2008 01:56 AM UTC
Hi,
I've checked the website and it says that Ramayana ballet will be performed only 4 nights in June from 13th to 16th at Prabanan.( IS this correct?)
I'll be in Jogja around 3rd,4th or 5th June. Looks like i m going to miss it.

But another site says it is also perform in Purawisata Yogyakarta Jalan Brigien Katamso. Where is this place and how to go there? Will the dance be performed around 3,4 or 5th June?

Thanks

Yogyakarta Manohara hotel, Ramayana ballet and beringharjo market
Posted: Fri May 23, 2008 11:04 AM UTC
Hi, I have some more questions.
1. How much is it to stay in Manohara hotel in Borobudur park? If we are allowed to visit Borobudur at 4.30am when it is still dark, how are we going to take photos in the dark? Can we stay there till late in the morning? How much is the entrance fees to the borobudur? If I stay in Manohara, do I have to pay entrance?

2.If we visit Prabanan at night so that we can see the Ramayana ballet, how to take phots of Prabanan ? Or we have to go in the morning to take photos and go again at night to see the ballet.
What is Ramayana ballet? Is it worth watching?

3. What can we see in Berinharjo market? Where is it? How to go there?

Thanks

Hi guys,

I will be in Jogja for about 2 months starting around this June 19. I am looking for a cheap place to stay, where I can pay by the week/month instead of by the night. Do you know of any homestays or good kos-kosan? I would like to avoid backpackers as much as possible and be around Indonesians instead.

Makasih banyak :)

Yogyakarta Tours originating from Solo
Posted: Mon March 17, 2008 07:44 AM UTC
Hi everyone,

I'm planning to do a 4D3N trip to see Yojyakarta, Solo, Pranbanam, Sunrise at Borobudur & Mt Merapi. I have a few questions that require some help.

1) Most tours originate from Yogyakarta, but Silkair flies only to Solo from Singapore. Are there many tour desks at Solo airport?
2) Please recommend some of the more trustworthy and value for money tour operators from Solo.
3) Have most of the sites in Yojyakarta and Pranbanam recovered from the earthquake yet?

Thanks a lot in advance.
