Colonia del Sacramento Trying to find phone number for an art store
Posted: Wed January 30, 2008 04:41 PM UTC
Hi All -

I was in Colonia del Sacremento last week - awesome town. I was looking through some of the stores and came upon a painting that I fell in love with. I went down the street to mull the purchase and get a drink and when I got back to the store it was closed for the afternoon and I had to catch the ferry back to Buenos Aires. I would like to call or email the store in regards to the painting but can't find it on the net. It is called Taller Acosta and is located in the Plaza Mayor. ANY help is greatly appreciated.

Colonia del Sacramento Day trip from Bs. As. - how long?
Posted: Fri September 14, 2007 07:04 AM UTC
Hi there,

I was thinking about visiting Colonia as a day trip from Buenos Aires via the "fast" Buquebus. Probably taking the 11:15AM boat and coming back on the 5:30pm boat.

Is this enough time or should I try to take the 8:45am boat to have a little more time?

Do you need to purchase the tickets in advance or do you just show up at the port?

thanks!

Colonia del Sacramento Direct bus from Colonia to Punta del Leste
Posted: Wed September 5, 2007 02:37 AM UTC
Hi, I'm going to Uruguay in this September and I'd like to know if there is any bus that goes direct to Punta del Leste from Colonia.

I'll be in Buenos Aires, and planning a 1-day trip to Uruguay and just want to go to Colonia and Punta del Leste, avoiding Montevideo.

I have saw in this site that they have a trip to Punta del Leste which includes bus, but I don't think they will be stoping to allow me stay for few hours in Colonia.

Colonia del Sacramento seeking info about Colonia

Does anyone have a moment to tell me about Colonia and whether there are long term rentals for one person and her dog available? If so, what is the avg. cost of renting? And grocery store? I've been in Panama the past two years but am considering Uruguay. Have heard good things about it. Am American on small pension.

Colonia del Sacramento boat to Colonia?
Posted: Wed February 7, 2007 06:55 PM UTC
Have read about the problem between Uruguay and Argentina regarding the new plant being built. We are planning to go to Colonia April 3 and wonder if the fast boat is often delayed or if it is a problem to go there. Thanks, Lynn

Colonia del Sacramento Sleep there?
Posted: Mon March 6, 2006 03:00 PM UTC
Hi!!!
I´m planning a trip to Argentina and Uruguay on July. I´m planning to stay 3 and 1/2 days in Uruguay (1 in Colonia and the rest in Montevideo). I´ll spend the first days in Argentina, so I´m planning to take the ferry from Buenos Aires to Colonia.
My question is: What is the best option? To sleep in Colonia 1 day or just spend the day there and go to Montevideo in the end of the day?
Is there a place to leave my lugagge if I prefer to spend the day there and go to Montevideo on the same day?
Thanks for helping!!!
Regards,
Thiago

Colonia del Sacramento Cost of a return trip to Colonia from BA
Posted: Fri October 7, 2005 08:37 AM UTC
Hi
Was wanting to get to Colonia for the day and wanted to know the difference in price between the hydrofoil (1 hour) and the ferry (3 hours). In $US if possible. We only want to go for the day. Would 4 hours be enough time in Colonia? Or do we need 6?
