Copenhagen Eating near the Marriot
Posted: Fri February 22, 2008 01:00 AM UTC
Not happy with breakfast not being included at the Marriot. Any suggestions for breakfast or for that matter other meals near the Marriot. Would like to even try eating at a nearby bed and breakfast or hotel that would offer a deal for breakfast only. Already locked in to the Marriot thru a Priceline bid but again deal does not include breakfast and charge at Marriot for breakfast in my opinion is excessive.

Posted: Wed January 16, 2008 09:00 PM UTC
I'm on a business trip in Copenhagen January 21 and 22, but I do not know what to do. Is there anyone who would enjoy my company for a while? we could go out for dinner, or go to a theater or something else. Please, I hope there is someone that would like to meet me, so I do not need to be alone in Copenhagen again.

Copenhagen Interior Design stores: Where to go/check out?
Posted: Tue January 8, 2008 08:26 PM UTC
Hello there, I'm quite the interior design buff and am interested in classic and contemporary Danish designer products. I'm travelling to Copenhagen 19th Jan and would like to know of which area/flea market/stores to check out while I'm there.

Also, any idea where would be best to look for Iacobsen (pronounced yak-cob-sen) cutlery? Any tips on this would be most appreciated. Thank you! :)

Copenhagen some ideas for B&Bs
Posted: Tue December 18, 2007 04:24 AM UTC
I will be in Copenhagen for three days in June, '08, and would like to have a suggestion for a B&B that can accomodate 2 couples, with private baths for each. We would like to be out of the city, in a quiet, small town atmosphere, to rent a car or take trains to see the countryside. We would probably go into the city one day, but really want to see the country sites more. Any suggestions?

Copenhagen Metro card
Posted: Wed December 12, 2007 11:19 AM UTC
Hi again. I will be in Copenhagen next week for 3 days. (Actually I want to go to Malmö for half a day so basically 2.5 days.) Is it worth buying a card for 10 rides for the transportation or is sightseeing within walking distance from the central station? And I would appreciate any recommendations on where to go and what to do at this time of the year apart from the ones I've read in Copenhagen pages. Thanx!

Copenhagen New Years Eve - Copenhagen
Posted: Mon November 26, 2007 03:02 PM UTC
Will be in Copenhagen with a group of friends (6 or 7 people) for New Years Eve. We range in age form early 30s to mid 40s but all enjoy a good night out!!(nice food, good bars, lively time etc.)
Our hotel has has a new year banquet with food, entertainment etc. Have seen these events mentioned as the kind of thing laid on for NYE in Copenhagen. Are these events worth attending or is it likely to cater for the more mature type of tourist on say coach tours or cruise?
Also I notice many postings saying that tickets are required for bars etc. around the city. Do these need to be booked well in advance or is it possible to assess the situation the day/ night before?
Does anyone know if the transport system (metro/ trains etc.) run late (or all night) on new years eve?

Thanks
Charlemonty

Copenhagen Weather and Fishing
Posted: Fri October 26, 2007 07:04 PM UTC
Hello!
I'd like to go sea fishing to Copenhagen in about 1 month (approx. November 20). What is the weather you normally have in Copenhagen by those days? Rainy? Cold but no rain? I can fish in cold weather, no problem...but rain would ruin my trip. Any advice will be very useful before buying my flight ticket.
Additionally, if you know some good fishing spots to throw lures from the shore please let me know about them.
Thanks!

Copenhagen Private Tour Guides
Posted: Wed September 12, 2007 04:43 PM UTC
My husband and I, along with another couple, will be in Copenhagen in September 2008. We are looking to hire a private tour guide, English speaking, to show us the sights for a day or two before we board our cruise ship. Does anyone know of a tour person or company that is available to show four Americans around?

Copenhagen Renting bicycles
Posted: Thu August 23, 2007 07:05 PM UTC
Hello,

I will be visiting Copenhagen in September. I am interested in renting a bicycle for at most 4 days. Where in Copenhagen will I be able to rent bikes, and not burn a hole in my pocket. I am a student and am literally on a shoe string budget.

I would also like someone to suggest good places to see and eat. Of course there is the usual Tivoli, little mermaid, palaces etc. But is there something else in Copenhagen that I should not miss and are not mentioned in the guide books?

Thanks,
Aarthi

Copenhagen A Search for Women's Cothing Store on Straget Ostergade
Posted: Sat July 28, 2007 07:06 PM UTC
We were recently in Cogenhagen for a short visit and my wife found a wonderful small women's clothing shop on the north side of Straget Osetergade, the walking street, in Copenhagen. Now back in Jacksonville, Florida, we have lost its name...

It is a shop that features high-end fashion...may be one designer's work...Lots of linen, but other materials, too. White, black, light blues, etc.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

"Hostel in Avedørelejren"

Hi
I'm visitng copenhagen in late august. Some of the reviews of this hostel sound good.Inexpensive, clean, friendly.
What I would like to know is about the transport situation.
I realise busues might be infrequent as 1/2 hourly...but late would buses run..1 or 2 in the morning?I've also read that the rail station is only a km away...Is that the main railway station ?

Copenhagen shopping, music and clubs
Posted: Thu July 26, 2007 06:19 PM UTC
I will be traveling to copenhagen august 19th - I will be there about 5 days and
I am looking to do some shopping and check out some music and clubs at night. I really like to find fun clothes without completely emptying my wallet. Can you provide any recomendations for outlets, good second hand and even places that should not be missed for that one splurge. What about good flea markets for art, antiques and junktiques?

Also what is story with the hearing live music and clubs - nothing too pretentious...where should I check out, reservations or not, what do people wear...?
