Bali Help on itinerary please ..
Posted: Thu November 5, 2009 02:47 PM UTC
Hi,

Did some research and basically, we like to visit some temples, rice fields, lakes and volcanoes. We also like so see the various beach spots , especially large surfs and nice views. We like to see more nature.

We like to visit the following places, but they are all over the island and i cant seem to fit them into my scheule.

I would really appreciate some advise on how best to do this. I'm also open to options to remove some places or add in "similar" places which may be more along the way.

Day 1 : Arriving airport at 1230. Heading to amed , planning to arrive in evening.

Day 6 : From Legian area to ubud (full day sightseeing )

Day 7 : From ubud to airport, arriving airport by 3.30pm

Roughly, i was thinking :

Day 1 :
Berkasih
Kerta gosa, klungkung
Ulu Danu, Lake Berutan

Day 6 :

Tanah Lot
Uluwatah temple
Kintamani, lake batur- mount batur crater ?
Goa gajah
Sideman road,
Jatiluwuh rice field

Day 7 :
Gunung Kawi
Ubud city and market

Is it possible to fit the below into anywhere or i should just skip them ?
Mengwi road temple- Taman Ayun
Pura Batukau, Lake Batukau, Gunung Batukaru

Is it possible to get to the crater without hiking ?

Really appreciate your advice and many thanks !

Bali Beach Villas for Wedding june 2010
Posted: Thu October 29, 2009 01:05 AM UTC
Hi all,
I'm getting married in Ubud in June, and I'm looking for villas on the beach that can accommodate up to 30 people, budget is @ $250/night per room. I'm staying away from Kuta and Sanur, as I've been to these places already and they're not what we're going for. Can anyone recommend good accommodations or even a laid back beach where I might research accoms. for myself? Thanks for the help!

Riau Province What to do in 2 weeks to/from Singapore
Posted: Wed October 28, 2009 04:16 PM UTC
Hi everyone

My girlfriend and will be flying via Singapore to Australia in mid-Jan and would like to spend 2 weeks visiting somewhere in Indonesia/Riau province. We'll need to get back to Singapore at the end of the 2 weeks.

Where would you recommend we go? I know AirAsia have some cheap flights and we don't mind getting on a plane to say Bali for example.

Our budget is limited - it will be the start of a 6 month trip through Australia, New Zealand and Africa - so I'm looking for backpacker suggestions not 5 star ideas.

Look forward to hearing what you guys think is best.

Cheers
Tom

Indonesia Jogjakarta, Borobudur, Mount Bromo, Bali
Posted: Tue October 20, 2009 06:48 AM UTC
Hello,
My friends and I (all 4 of us) will be visiting Java (Jakarta, Bandung & Yogyakarta)& Bali sometime in mid Dec 09. We'll be there for about 9-10 days in total. Was wondering if anyone could suggest to us on: (1) how we could go about from Jogyakarta to visit Borobudur as well as Mount Bromo? We're thinking of putting aside ard 3 days for that. Is it enough to cover those areas? (2) What kind of transports could we take to bring us from Jogyakarta to Borobudur and then to Mount Bromo?? (3) We would need to take the ferry to Gilimanuk, Bali. Is it possible to make our way to the ferry terminal after our Mt Bromo trip? Ie. roughly how long does it take? Type of transport to take??

Currently that's all that I could think up of at this moment. AS this is my first time doing a Java overland as well as Bali, would REALLY appreciate it if anyone could give any advice/suggestions to the above.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!! :)

Hello,

I'm looking for flights from Denpasar to Ende (Flores) or from Dempasar to Maumere (Flores). Does any one have any information's about flights operators between quoted destinations. Is it possible to get time schedule and prices?

What is the best way to buy tickets?
- persona purchase to travel agencies in Bali (any good one in Denpasar or Ubud);
- persona purchase on the Denpasar airport;
- is there any possibility to buy tickets on the internet (if so how can I pay for it and where I can pickup the tickets).

Thanks in advance for all useful information and answers!

Hi,

My sister has got married recently. I want to gift her a honeymoon package@Bali as her wedding gift this October. I was looking at lot of villas and hotels and totally lost as to which one is the best. Please help me to find the most romantic and the best hotel/villa in Bali which has a private pool if possible which has also a beach view. Something heavenly...out of the world...at the same time the service and cleanliness should be excellent.
Also, it should provide some good vegetarian food. I want it to be the most memorable time in her life.

Thanks so much in advance

Bali Changing Australian dollars

Is there any issue with changing Oz dollars for rupiah, using the regular money changers in Bali? How about the banks? And is there a preferred denomination? $100 notes rather than $50s?

East Java Province Mount Bromo for sunrise
Posted: Sun October 4, 2009 12:42 PM UTC
hihi! I'll be visiting Mt Bromo in 2 weeks time and have yet to make any tour or hotel arrangements. As this is a really short visit for me arriving on 24 Aug and departing on 25 Aug (via Surabaya airport), I would prefer to stay at a hotel at Surabaya and to make a sunrise trip to mt bromo. Understand some hotels assist to arrange for such a tour. Any recommendations on the hotels (low-cost pls) and any idea how much would such a tour be? Would it be much cheaper to book direct for such tours online instead of thr the hotel? many thanks in advance!

Bali Nusa Lembongan
Posted: Sun October 4, 2009 12:18 AM UTC
We've never been to Nusa Lembongan , but given that I don't surf and won't be doing any serious diving, is it a worthwhile destination for a beach bum? And where should we stay? Prefer downmarket, but on/near the beach. And getting there from Bali? Boat from Sanur? Any recommendations for a company making the trip? Booking boats? Or is private charter economical for 2 people?

Bali Lovina

Haven't been to Lovina for decades; is it still a worthwhile destination? And if not Lovina, is their anywhere else on the north coast you could recommend for a few day's stay? Good accommodation in Lovina or elsewhere? Not too expensive but air con and a pool would be good.

Bali Amed as a destination?

Heard that Amed is a laid back part of the coast? Any recommendations for a town to stay in on this stretch of the coast, or accommodation? Not too expensive, but I can spring for air con. I'd love to stay as close to a beach as possible.
Any other hints about staying in this area?
