Agrigento Travel Forum

I need to get from Agrigento to Pozzallo to catch the ferry to Malta and would love some advice as to the best way to get there - several options would be brilliant. Thank you.

We will be in Agrigento for one night, Sept 29, '07. Any suggestions on good hotels, like good service, good bed, good breakfast, good staff, good location (near everything) and good room rates? Thanks for any comments.

From what I found on the Internet, I understand there is ANY kind and ANY price of accomodations around Agrigento ... actually so many that I can't choose one!!

For those who have already been to or live in Agrigento: do you think it is better to stay in the centre of the city, closer to the Valley of Temples and the beaches (such as San Leone) or in a farm inland?

Has anybody stayed at Ciuci's Manor near Aragona, north of Agrigento? Since we have a little girl, we may enjoy the animals, lake, swimming pool there.

IŽd like to book a double bedroom in "Bed & Breakfast Atenea 191" from 27th to 28th December 2006 for two nights. We will arrive on 27.12.2006 at 12.30 in Palermo by plane from Munich/Bavaria and come by car to Agrigent in the evening. Please tell me, if this is possible.

The importance of the historical centre of Agrigento can be pointed out when we have the blessed chance to visit it. The cathedral of San Gerlando, the patron of the city, the importance of the church od Santa Maria dei greci, Via Duomo, Via Atenea, Via Bac Bac, and small shops related to the old city of Girgenti so close to Luigi Pirandello, one of the most important dramatist of the last century.
