Bangladesh Stopover/ visa
Posted: Fri May 16, 2008 04:36 AM UTC
Hi! I'll have a stopover at Dhaka before catching my next flight to Nepal. The saddest thing is to get in to Nepal I need a visa unfortunately here I couldn't get any travel agencies to process my NEPAL VISA and the Nepal visa can only obtain in embassy/ upon arrival.
Well, I'll stop over at Dhaka about 7 hours is it possible to get my Nepal visa done in Dhaka International Airport since I'll arrive late in Kathmandu?
Thanks!

Bangladesh visa info
Posted: Mon May 12, 2008 07:00 AM UTC
I'm planning on visiting Bangladesh from India and I was wondering if anyone has any experience getting a Bangladesh visa in Delhi. How long does it take to process, did you encounter any difficulties, etc.? Also, I plan on crossing into Sylhet at the Tamabil border crossing. Lonely Planet says that border is used mainly by commercial trucking and doesn't get a lot of tourists. Can I expect any hassles from border guards? Should I expect to have to pay boksheesh? Thanks.

Bangladesh Rocket steamer
Posted: Sat August 4, 2007 06:21 AM UTC
Hi -

I'm planning to visit Bangladesh in January and was interested in taking the Rocket Steamer. Can anyone tell me how I can go about booking these tickets? Do I need to buy them in Dhaka or can I go over the net?

Also, the Bangladesh government says I need a travel itinerary in order to apply for a visa. What does this mean, a simple list of places you will travel? Do they want proof of a round trip ticket? I really want to visit and hope I won't encounter any trouble trying to obtain a visa. Any help, advice or suggestions are very welcome. Thanks!!!!!

Bangladesh Too much for one week?
Posted: Thu April 5, 2007 10:25 PM UTC
I just noticed that Qatar Airways has a good deal from Washington to Dhaka ($1,300).

Unfortunately, I'm even more pressed for time than I am for money.

I looked at the schedule, and I could be in BD for exactly one week, from a Friday morning to a Friday morning.

Can I squeeze, in this amount of time:
-Sonargaon
-Dhaka to Khulna "Rocket"
-Bagherat and a bit of the Sundarbans
-A couple of old abandoned Rajbaris

Your reply will be much appreciated.
