Valparaíso Trips from Valparaiso to Santiago and return
Posted: Wed January 12, 2005 04:15 PM UTC
Hi, I live near Valparaiso and am putting together some minibus tours for cruise liner passengers docking at the harbour and wishing to see local sites and/or tours to Santiago. This is in demand from passengers who wish to have their own minicoach which can stop off at places like vineyards, coastal sites, Pablo Narudas house, Andes mountains, etc, etc. If anyone is interested please email me at rollsrazor@hotmail.com
I speak English and my Chilean girlfriend is bilingual so we can answer most questions about your travel arrangements when arriving here in Chile. This is a personal service and not for large groups and prices are very reasonable. Happy cruising.

Valparaíso Valparaiso to Santiago transfer with day tour?
Posted: Tue November 16, 2004 07:47 PM UTC
Two of us are disembarking from cruise ship on the morning of 10 January 2005 in Valparaiso. We don't want to stay in Valparaiso, however we do want to see some of the sights in Valparaiso before we go to Santiago. We would like to know if there is possibility to arrange a pickup at the port, a brief tour of Valparaiso, a stop for a visit to a winery and the little mission church enroute to Santiago, a brief tour of highlights of Santiago and drop off at hotel. The cruise ship offers a bus transfer, but we prefer to travel independently and hope we can find a more affordable option. If this is not possible, we would like to know how to get to the bus station to take bus to Santiago? How often does bus leave Valparaiso and what is the approximate cost?

Valparaíso How best to travel from Valparaiso port to Santiago
Posted: Mon November 15, 2004 11:28 PM UTC
My wife and I will arrive by ship in Valparaiso on Jan 17, 2005. The ship is scheduled to dock at 8:00 and leave at 21:00. We'd like to travel to Santiago and back using public transport, preferably a bus.

My questions are:
How often do the buses run?
Where's the bus station in Valparaiso?
How's the best way to get from the ship to the station? Where in Santiago do the buses arrive/depart?

Thanks in advance for your help....

thank you for the information. I guess that's why there was no way to get "there" from "here." I appreciate your responses.

I have been trying to locate a website that would tell me how to fly to Valparaiso from Washington, DC. Even VT doesn't work.

All I get is "You can't get there from her" responses.

Please help.

Greetings,

Could anybody kindly tell me about Valparaiso? I may be studying in Federico Tech University. I am more insterested about quality of life, costs, security issues, accommodation and anything you may want to share.

Your feedback is appreciated,
