Bologna Rugby World Cup: Television Coverage
Posted: Thu June 14, 2007 01:32 AM UTC
I know that rugby is only a minority sport in Italy but I will be in Bologna during the rugby world cup and would like to watch the game Australia vs Fiji on the 23rd September at 2:30pm on a Sunday. Is there any pub or rugby club or anywhere else that will definately be showing the game.

Please any advice would be appreciated as i might have a relative playing.

Bologna naples or bologna?
Posted: Fri May 25, 2007 06:39 AM UTC
Hi!

I want your advice about taking a trip in Italy in september. What do you think? Bologna or Naples? Me and my friend want to visit one of them (we found really cheap tickets from Romania), but we know very few things (almost nothing)abot any of these places. Do you have any advices? Which one would it me more interesting? We like small old towns, narrow streets, pizza :), shopping...

Any advice would be great. Thank you.

Bologna Nice Appartment, Gym and Childcare in Bolologna???
Posted: Thu May 3, 2007 09:00 AM UTC
Dear members,

I'll be spending this summer in Bologna with my one year old.

I have 3 questions:

1)does anyone know of a good gym in Bologna that has nice equipment and offers aerobic classes?
2)what's the best way to rent a small but nice appartment in the historic center for 3 months(agent, contacts...)?
3) what childcare options do I have (daycare center,an au pair)?

Also, are there any members with young kids who'd be interested in doing things together this summer?

Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Bologna fog in October in Emilia Romagna
Posted: Wed April 25, 2007 10:16 PM UTC
We will be visiting Emilia Romagna in mid-October. We were considering renting a car but we have been warned that time of year has frequent heavy fog that makes driving on unfamiliar roads dangerous. I would appreciate hearing advice from travelers and residents.

Bologna Renting a house-Northern Italy
Posted: Sun March 11, 2007 02:30 AM UTC
10 of us are planning a trip to Northern Italy and thought it would be fun and possibly more economical to rent a home while there rather than stay in hotels.
What is the possibility of this? Any information about where to look for one? At this point we are not certain where--maybe Bologna. We wanted to have a home base where we can take trips to Verona, Venice, Florence. Ideas?

Bologna sleeping at bologna Marconi airport
Posted: Thu March 1, 2007 06:05 AM UTC
Has anyone every slept overnight at Bologna's Marconi airport? I'm trying to work out interconnecting travel plans and might have to sleep at the airport. Does the airport close down in the evening and if not, does airport security take issue with overnighters.
Thanks,

Bologna travelling to ravenna
Posted: Thu March 1, 2007 05:59 AM UTC
I am travelling to Ravenna in mid-march to take a mosaic workshop. I have a flight from London to Bologna and don't get in til late. I wanted to know if it's best to overnight in Bologna or try to catch a late train to Ravenna. Does anyone know when the last train to Ravenna leaves from Bologna. Also is the Central train station as unsafe as I've heard it is? I'd really appreciate any info you could provide.

Thanks

Bologna Hotel Fiera - or other hotels...
Posted: Mon February 5, 2007 10:28 AM UTC
Hi, my wife and I are about to visit Bologna for 4 days, 21-25 Feb, and are wondering about accomodation. Hotel Fiera is very cheap, €152 for the four nights, but I know it's a little way from the centre. We don't mind walking, or getting a bus/tram, how easy is this? If it's hard, does anyone know of reasonably priced hotels that are closer to the centre, or that you would recommend?

Many Thanks

Steve.

Bologna Bologna to Florence - First time visitors to Italy
Posted: Sat January 13, 2007 12:36 PM UTC
My wife and I are flying from OLB>BLQ on a Sunday in May. We need to get to Florence, and are flying to Bologna since there is no direct flight from Sardinia to Florence on the Sunday in May.

My question is if I take the train in the afternoon from Bologna to Florence:

1) How much will the train trip cost?

2) I looked on www.trenitalia.com and it didn't show the ticket bookable, when do these trips become bookable?

3) How does one get to the trainstation in Bologna from the BLQ Airport?

If there are any alternatives I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

Bologna What about meeting "bolognese" people?
Posted: Mon November 6, 2006 04:13 PM UTC
Hi guys! My friends and I -all "bolognese"- would like to meet foreign people living in Bologna and we'd like to show the beauties of our city as well. So we decided to organize a dinner in a typical bolognese restaurant (in italian I will say "Osteria").
The Osteria is quite small, so we have to book a table, a big one...
Would you join us?
Take a look at "meetings"
