| Bologna | The Holiday Hotel Posted: Tue April 15, 2008 12:22 PM UTC
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this hotel. Hotel Holiday - Bologna Via Bertiera 13 - 40100 Bologna I can get a great deal of 76 euro a night at the moment and was just wondering if anyone had stayed there. (Unless I get really bad reviews then I'll book it!, and by bad review, I don't mean small shower and bad coffee!) Ciao, Kelly |

| Bologna | Fun things in Bologna Posted: Tue April 1, 2008 09:39 PM UTC
I will be traveling by myself on Fri, May 2nd through Bologna. Does anyone have any recommendations for what to do with a free day in Bologna? I am a foodie, so I will definitely be checking out the cuisine, but what else is essential? Also, what is there to do in Bologna on a Friday night? (Because I will be alone, I would like to stay in a safer area of town.) Are there any places where I can meet some fun natives? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

| Bologna | Bologna To Mugello Posted: Sat March 29, 2008 03:41 PM UTC
I'm flying into Bologna (Forli) Airport at the end of May to watch the Moto GP at Mugello and was wondering if anyone has any advice for the best method of travelling between the two places (Trains, buses ect) I also like the idea of perhaps renting a motorbike or scooter and riding to Mugello so I would love to know the location of the nearest rental shop to the airport.
Any help much appreciated :-) |

| Bologna | Travelling from Bologna to Prague (or Berlin) Posted: Wed February 20, 2008 12:56 AM UTC
Hi All,
I am planning a trip to Italy in July 2008. We are finishing in Bologna and would like to make an additional stop for 3 days in Europe before flying onto Copenhagen. Our first choice is Prague (or maybe Berlin), but I am going crazy trying work out the travelling. I have been searching discount airline and looked at Trenitalia for trains, but am very confused. Does anyone know the easiest to fly from Bologna to Prague? If we have to go via another city (eg. Milan, Pisa or Rome) which airport is the easiest to get to from Bologna? Thanks very much |

| Bologna | Bologna?Maranello?Modena? Posted: Thu February 7, 2008 05:42 AM UTC
Taking my ten year old grandson on a "special trip" He wants to go to the Ferrari Museum. Since I want him to experience more of Italy than a car museum I have booked a trip that starts in Rome and ends in Venice. We will take the train to one of the above citiss. Which area has the most activities for an active boy? I plan on staying in this area for 3 days then take the train back to Venice to catch a flight back home. Hotel suggestions? Any other car museums nearby? I will not be renting a car--will use the train to get around so hotels should be close to train stations.
Hotel suggestion near airport in Venice? I have spent lots of time in Italy but mainly in Rome so I could use all the help I can get to make this trip special. |

| Bologna | Via dell'Inferno Posted: Sun January 13, 2008 05:45 PM UTC
Bologna has some intriguing street names. It also has a Via Malcontenti.
Any idea where these names came from? I also noticed a Madonna in a niche with a plaque about a fire that had destroyed the street - I think - in Via dell'Inferno. Maybe that is where it got its name. |

| Bologna | Bologna - Good Base for Tuscany? Posted: Mon January 7, 2008 04:13 AM UTC
Hi there
Does anyone have any tips on whether or not Bologna would be a good base to use (we are travelling by motorhome) in late July for approx 5-6 days as a base to see Florence, Venice, Parma etc., how far is Venice from Bologna if we drove in, or would it be better to catch a train or Bus? Is there anything else we should plan to see while in this area? Thanks |

| Bologna | Car or Train from Bologna to Artimino/Pisa? Posted: Tue September 11, 2007 01:38 AM UTC
Hi,
My girlfriend and I are arriving in Bologna on Wednesday morning and going on to Artimino on Thursday afternoon. We are in Italy for 8 days. However, at the moment we are between two minds about whether it would be wiser to rent a car in Bologna and drive to Artimino, or just get the train to Pisa. Is the journey/scenery sufficiently interesting and captivating to justify going by car? Grazie mille. |

| Bologna | Nightlife in Bologna Posted: Fri September 7, 2007 12:40 AM UTC
Hi besides via Zamboni, which are the other areas where there is concentration of nice bars and restaurants.
If i stay near Piazza Maggiore, are there any nightlife area within walking distance? Which is the best restaurant in Bologna, i dont mind the price, but looking for a restaurant is recognised by most Bolognians to be very good. Also, any particular bar/clubs that are popular with bolognians? |

| Bologna | naples or bologna? Posted: Fri May 25, 2007 06:39 AM UTC
Hi!
I want your advice about taking a trip in Italy in september. What do you think? Bologna or Naples? Me and my friend want to visit one of them (we found really cheap tickets from Romania), but we know very few things (almost nothing)abot any of these places. Do you have any advices? Which one would it me more interesting? We like small old towns, narrow streets, pizza :), shopping... Any advice would be great. Thank you. |
