Como Bus to Bellagio from Como town in winter? Hydrofoil?
Posted: Tue October 31, 2006 05:43 AM UTC
Hi

Does any one know if the bus to/from Como and Bellagio run during the winter, particularly in December 28-Jan 4th

Thanks, I am planning a trip to Milan and am considering a short stay in Bellagio or Como - i know it will be chilly but would like to see a few cities on the lake.

Also, does any one know if the hydrofoil is running at this time?

Thanks,
Tarepanda

Como Train Tirano to St Moritz
Posted: Mon September 4, 2006 12:04 PM UTC
I have heard that you don't need to catch the Bernini Express to do this bit as all the trains go the same route through the mountains - has anyone got any information/advice about this. Also is it easy to do?

Como The name on a shop/restaurant in Como
Posted: Sun July 24, 2005 07:38 AM UTC
Can anyone out there please help? Last year we were in Como for the day from Varenna and had a marvellous lunch by accident. Let me explain, I was looking for a 'salumeria' for some fresh gnocchi and salami and while in the shop we found many people coming and going through the back. On enquiring what was going on we were told there was also a small retaurant. Curious we were! Out the back door and across a small lane was a courtyard with maybe 12 tables. The menu was in Italian only but the food was as fresh as could be! It was on a wide street for pedestrians only with many shops on either side.
We are returning in September this year but I lost the address.
Ciao, Ciao

Como como --the right season and places to stay
Posted: Sat May 29, 2004 01:08 PM UTC
if we are planning to go to lake como region from october 8-11 and i have read the boats and hydrofoils stop by the end of cotober. are we going at the wrong time.will we still have a way of getting around.we were considering the best western grand hotel imperiale which is near bellagio but you need boat transportation to get there. we we liked the idea the hotel was on the lake with a beautiful view. our travel agent suggested the grand hotel hotle at como which is more convenient and has no view.
which do you advise and is this trip worth it at this time of year.

Como My first trip to Como Lake
Posted: Thu May 13, 2004 07:34 PM UTC
Q: Hello, My name is Maja, I am 1 year old and I am from Poland. This will be my first trip with my parents. We are going to Como Lake from 16th - 24th of July and would like to find some accomodation in Menaggio or other mystic places around the lake where I could take my first swim in the lake. Unfortunately my parents cannot find any apartments in Menaggio, all are very expensive. So I have to take everything in my hands and ask you - maybe you know anything about cheap apartment (30-35-40 Euro) per night in this area. If you could help you I would send you my biggest smile. Thank you.
