Florianópolis Apartment Rentals in Florianopolis?
Posted: Thu September 4, 2008 05:05 PM UTC
I'm having a hard time finding websites where I can rent apartments in Florianopolis.

Can you please give me a list of all the websites you know where I can rent an apartment in Florianopolis? Ideally, we want to stay in either Juere International or Juere Traditional.

Thank you.

Florianópolis Floripa for New Years Eve / Pousada dos Golfinhos Hotel
Posted: Mon August 25, 2008 03:34 AM UTC
I am going to be in Floripa for the New Years and I am trying to figure out where to stay and where to party. I think that the North part of the island is where we want to stay and originally wanted to stay at Jurere Beach Village but it seemed a bit expensive. We are only be in town for 4 nights and most places require a 7 night stay. So dividing the $5000 US price tag by 4 just did not make sense for us. That said, everywhere else around there seems really expensive except this place named Pousada dos Golfinhos Hotel that looks decent (but quaint). Has anyone ever stayed at this place or can you possibly recommend another place to stay that doesnt require a week stay or is cheaper on the north island beaches?

Also can you please recommend places to party for New Years? Again, I know of trendy Taiko but seems overly expensive. El Divino appears to have a cool New Years party which is closer to our range (I think around $250 a ticket). I hear Praia Mole has a good party as well. Does anyone know anything about that? Thanks for your help!

Thank you Cassiovieggore! Is the Praia Mole Eco Village a nice hotel? Are there any other nice hotels to pick from in that area? I should probably tell you we will be there for New Years. Thanks again!

Florianópolis Where to stay?

So I've been hearing that both Lagoa da Concieco and Praia Mole are great places to stay. Is one better as far as beach and nightlife? Also, can you please suggest a nice hotel in that area? Thank you!

Florianópolis Buenos Aires to Floripa
Posted: Wed February 27, 2008 01:42 AM UTC
My two friends and I are living in Buenos Aires and we are trying to plan a trip to Florianopolis for this March. Since we are on a limited budget, we were hoping for some advice on options for getting there from BA as well as places that we should think about staying. Please let me know if you have any insight on this.

Florianópolis Florianopolis to Balneario de Camboriu
Posted: Thu January 10, 2008 05:59 PM UTC
I'm wondering what is the most convenient way to reach
Balneario de Camboriu. Does anyone know if there is
any public transport, eg. bus services, from Floripa to
Camboriu? If yes, how long does it take? Or would flying
to Curitiba and then going to Camboriu be any easier?

Thanks,

Joe

Florianópolis On our way to Uruguay
Posted: Sun October 21, 2007 02:14 AM UTC
My wife and I (mid 50's) are traveling arriving in Sao Paulo in early November on our way to Uruguay. We would like to spend a few weeks looking at the south coast of Brazil. The outside of Santa C island looks nice as well as Garopaba. We travel on a shoestring (30 dollars a night) and like to stay in one place a week at a time.
Anyone have any suggestions.

Florianópolis Floripa in May
Posted: Thu March 8, 2007 07:50 PM UTC
Hi guys,

I'm planning to move to Floripa in May, June the latest. I'll be there for I dunno how long, but I'm planning to stay for a period not shorter then 3 months.

I have already found an apartment in Joaquina and sounds like a nice deal to me, but I haven't finalized the contract yet. The point is that I'd like to know first, from someone living there or someone who knows very well the place, how's the area.

Basically I'm looking for beaches and nightlife (can't stay without clubbing /slash/ drinking too much). I know that Joaquina is a nice beach, but what about nightlife? Is it ok there or would I have to move every night to the Lagoa? Is it far by foot? Do I need a car/motorbike?

Pls feel free to suggest other areas if you feel they'd be more appropriated. I heard also about Barra de lagoa (which should be close) and Jurere.

Thanks,
Marco

I'm looking to buy a house in Florianopolis. My wife is Brazilian and we have funds already in Brazil. Can anyone tell me the difference between a house with "escritura de posse" and "escritura publica"? Which is preferable? What are the problems?
Many thanks

Florianópolis From Inside the Speaker
Posted: Mon January 22, 2007 09:26 AM UTC
I'm going to be travelling to Floripa within the next 3 weeks. I need to know if there is an available place on the island to rent either powered speakers or non-powered speakers with an amplifier. If it is possible, what is the name of the place or a phone number to get in contact with them? I'm looking for possibly 3 x 250-400watt (preferably powered) speakers and 1 x 400-800watt subwoofer, again preferably powered so I would not require the amplifier. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Florianópolis Barra Da Logoa Carnival Accomodations
Posted: Mon January 15, 2007 06:13 PM UTC
Hey fellow travellers....I unwittingly booked myself for arrival into Florianopolis on the day Carnival begins (Feb 17, 2007. My destination is Barra Da Lagoa. Most of your travel notes/blogs suggest just arriving into Barra and then people will approach you with apartment or beach house offers. I would be very comfortable with this, however, given that this is Carnival, I am worried that everything will be totally booked/taken. The little bit of research I could do via the web indicates pousadas are full, or they seem VERY expensive for that time period. Does anyone think I am crazy to just show up in Barra at Carnival without having made prior arrangements???
Thanks for your thoughts

DOes anyone have any names and contact information for car rental agencies? I need 4-7 cars (depending on how many passengers they can hold) to rent for about 5 days. Alternatively, does anyone know contact info for driver for hire?
Thanks in advance
