Lago di Garda Buses from Gardaland
Posted: Thu May 8, 2008 03:44 PM UTC
Does anyone know of any kind of transport from Gardaland to Garda after the night parade? I tried searching for the buses, but it seems they stop way before the parade. What do you suggest?

Lago di Garda Tour Operators in Garda
Posted: Wed April 30, 2008 09:22 PM UTC
We will be spending a week in Lago di Garda, and since I'll be travelling with my 7 month old boy, I prefer to join organised excursions, rather than driving. Would you please tell me any tour operators from where I can book my excursions?

Lago di Garda ferries in the lake
Posted: Tue April 29, 2008 10:09 AM UTC
hi,

is it comfortable to "jump" from one village to another in the lakes - or it's prefererd to do that with a rented car?
we will have a car while our stay arround lazise or bardolino, and wandered whether to ride in the car for exapmle to LIMONE, or Sirmione - in stead of the ferry.
does the ferry stations are close to the center of attractions in those towns?
a distance walk (with a pushcart and a baby)?

Thank you very much.

Lago di Garda Cycle Hire
Posted: Tue April 22, 2008 11:57 AM UTC
Hi
Does anyone know anywhere to hire bikes around the lake. We will be in Malcesine but thought it would be great to hire them for a few hours anywhere on the lake. We will have our daughter with us so they would need to do kids bikes or tag along ones (shes only 6 but can ride). I had heard about some nice (flat!) routes on paths round the lake, is this right? Thanks

Lago di Garda Travel from Treviso Venice(TSF) airport to Lake Garda?
Posted: Mon April 21, 2008 09:55 AM UTC
Hi all,

I am flying to Treviso Venice(TSF) airport and was considering hiring a car to get to Lake Garda, but was wondering if there was an alternative which was easy to use?

In that I mean you don't have to change in 3 places!!! If not, I don't mind driving, but is nice to leave the car keys behind for a couple of weeks!

Thanks in advance,

Lago di Garda Sigurtà gardens and borgettho
Posted: Sun April 20, 2008 07:47 AM UTC
Hi,

Is it wise to travel from stresa in lake maggorie to Sigurtà gardens for a half day, then stay to sleep in south of garda lake?
is half day will be enough to spend in Sigurtà gardens and borgettho?

We (we are couple with a 11 month old baby) plan to skip como lake on our trip - so we need to travel from maggorie to garda - which is a long trip - so maybe day in Sigurtà gardens is relaxing enough?

Thanks

Lago di Garda First timers to Garda and Italy! We would love advice...!
Posted: Sat April 12, 2008 11:30 AM UTC
Hi all,

Picking your knowledgeable minds please...I know this post will be posted a million times, but if you could even point me to good posts historically we'd really appreciate it!!

My wife, Nic, and I are going to Italy for the first time in June. We're being rather adventurous as we're going to Rome for 3 days, then flying to Treviso from Rome. We've got 9 days of which we're thinking 2 in Venice, then a week by the beautiful Garda!! ("GET ON WITH IT AARON!!")

We don't know Garda at all and we'd love advice on people's recommendations for resorts around the lake. To be honest, we want somewhere with evening life, as we're both (just about for me!) in our late 20's. We don't go for discos etc, but we like a nice selection of restaurants, and bars which open a little later than 11pm!!

We're going to use the ferries to explore in the day, but by night we want most of the fun realtively close by. I heard Garda town has another town just beside it, which gives good choice at night?

Again, I know it's been asked a million times, but we'd really appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Aaron & Nic

Lago di Garda Intesting day trips from malcesine by car?
Posted: Tue March 25, 2008 12:56 PM UTC
Hi everyone
I'm travelling to Malcesine for 10 days in May with my husband & 6 yr old daughter. We have plans to do the cable car, train to venice for the day from Peschiera, ferry trips on the lake most days, Gardaland. But we would really like to visit some places by car, that are easy to drive to in an hour or so from Malcesine. Are there any country parks, castles, nature reserves, historic towns etc that anyone can suggest. We can't really hike up mountains with a 6 yr old but don't mind short walks.
Thanks

Hi there,
I plan on traveling to lake Garda on my own in July either from Austria or from Rome.( I am Backpacking Europe) What is the safest and easiest way to get there? (I don't have a car) Is there a bus or a train to take.
Which town at lake Garda is the easiest to get to, but still very beautiful? Any Hotel suggestions?
Or is there even a tour for younger people around Lake Garda?

Thanks a mil for any replies :) it will help me a lot!!

Lago di Garda Train travel from venice to lago di garda, where to stay, what to do
Posted: Mon March 10, 2008 05:36 PM UTC
Hi
My partner and I plan to fly in to Venice and stay there for about 3 nights of an 8 day holiday in italy. Do you think this is the best way to plit the holiday up? Wherd do you think we should spend most of our time? It is our first time to Italy and we love old towns, walks, scenery and nature and places to chill out.
Can we get an open return ticket to garda? Is it very dear? Do the trains run everyday?
We dont have lots of money but love quirky, rather than modern places to stay (no camping). Where would you suggest and why?
Where should we stay around the lake given how we like to spend our time and my wish to go out on boat, maybe get up into the hills and/or nearest mountains.
Hope that you can help
thanks

Hi

I am thinking of taking a short break in Lake Garda - probably Malcesine, in March. Can someone tell me if restaurants and businesses will be open during this time or does everything tend to shut done out of season?

Thanks

Lago di Garda Visiting the dolomites from Garda
Posted: Sun October 28, 2007 10:40 PM UTC
Hi, myself and a friend are visiting lake garda and staying in garda next May. We have been before in 2005 but only for a couple of days. This time we would like to visit the dolomites. Is it better to go on an organised tour or do it yourself. We have no transport so it would be train/bus. Also how much would it cost and where should we go in the dolomite region. We would only be going on a day trip.

I've just booked a trip for my wife and I in late September for 10 days in the Hotel Benaco in Garda. Can anyone offer any advice/recommendations on transfers between Verona Airport and Garda? Also, any general advice on train travel around Italy? Affordable, dependable? Best to book in advance? Many thanks for your help.
