Hi

We are landing in Milan in mid July and travelling up to Riva Del Garda.
Can some one give me a recommendation on best transport options from Milan to Riva .
We think train to Desenzano and bus to Riva .What is bus frequency to Riva ?
or are there buses direct ex Milan airport(malapensa )or Mini Van ?

We also want to look at going up to Tirano and catching the Berlina Express.How far away is Triano and what is best way to get there?

I am going to holidays to Garda Lake. I already booked a hotel in Gardone Riviera, but now I have problems to find out how to get there from Lugano using a public transport. Are there any buses that go from Lugano or Como directly to Garda Lake? And what is the closest point near town Gardone Riviera with bus connection? For the trains, I think that the only option is to go via Milano and then with the bus, which seems to take quite a lot of time...If anybody can help me with this information, it would be great!!! Grazia :)

My wife and I will be visiting the Lago di Garda area in May and need a recommendation for a luxury hotel or resort. I found the Grand Hotel Villa Feltrinelli, but it is quite expensive. Any other suggestios? We will be staying 4 nights.

Has anyone ever stayed at the apartments in Residenza dei Limoni in Toscolano-Maderno? I cannot find any reviews, but I am planning to stay there in August. I would love to hear from someone who knows this place. Thanks from Philadelphia

How long it can take to drive from Sirmione to Milano Malpensa airport?
We will drive on Sunday morning in November. We have to be in airport at 12:00, do you think we still have time from the Sirmione (we leave at 8:000 to visit Cathedral in Milano?
is it a big possibility to get into trafic jamm in Milano on Sunday morning?

In late autumn (7-9 November)I and my 17 colleagues will travel for a weekend to Lago di Garda. I just want to ask what are the main things what we have to see around the lake, we will have only one day for driving around the lake. We are driving by two minivans, we can stop where we want.

My friends are getting married in Torri del Benaco in August. We will be going over for a week and probably staying in a b+b. Roughly how much will it cost to eat out for two of us? Would we be better off going half board?

Can anyone help with transport information. We are travel to lake garda (Moniga) in Aug and arrive at Bergamo airport late evening 9pm. Just wondered wether to hire a car or get a transfer to and from the resort as we don't intend to do much driving when we are there but i'm finding it difficult to get transfer information as we arrive too late to take the train & with 3 children and a bike a quick and easy tranfer would be preferable.

Any tips would be appreciated.

I am wanting to take my 81 year old mother to Lake Garda and need opinions as to whether it will be better for her in either October or April? I have been three times myself but only in August and I know that will be too hot for her.

Will all the restaurants be open those months? Do the ferries still sail regularly etc?

We are hoping to stay in either Garda or Bardolino.

We are going to Garda lake (Bardolino or Garda, in the east side of Garda lake) in July. We will fly even to Milan or Venezia. Could someone give us tips, is it better to arrive Garda from Milan or Venezia? How good/bad are bus connections from these town to Bardolino, and how long it takes?
And also one further question: can you recommend some reasonable and nice private apartment/hostel/hotel in Bardolino?

I've searched various forums and cannot find a nice apartment we've been offered 'Franz House Apartment' in Bardolino.

It's on Via Europa Unita, near cross road with Via Guglielmo Marconi.

Has anyone ever stayed or been near and seen it and the area?

Does anyone know of any kind of transport from Gardaland to Garda after the night parade? I tried searching for the buses, but it seems they stop way before the parade. What do you suggest?

my girlfriend and i are planning on going to lake garda early next month and we wanted some advice on which town and hotel to stay in.we are both in our 20's and we are looking for somewhere close to bergamo airport,the theme park and water parks and has a good night life.

We will be spending a week in Lago di Garda, and since I'll be travelling with my 7 month old boy, I prefer to join organised excursions, rather than driving. Would you please tell me any tour operators from where I can book my excursions?

is it comfortable to "jump" from one village to another in the lakes - or it's prefererd to do that with a rented car?
we will have a car while our stay arround lazise or bardolino, and wandered whether to ride in the car for exapmle to LIMONE, or Sirmione - in stead of the ferry.
does the ferry stations are close to the center of attractions in those towns?
a distance walk (with a pushcart and a baby)?

Does anyone know anywhere to hire bikes around the lake. We will be in Malcesine but thought it would be great to hire them for a few hours anywhere on the lake. We will have our daughter with us so they would need to do kids bikes or tag along ones (shes only 6 but can ride). I had heard about some nice (flat!) routes on paths round the lake, is this right? I am flying to Treviso Venice(TSF) airport and was considering hiring a car to get to Lake Garda, but was wondering if there was an alternative which was easy to use?

In that I mean you don't have to change in 3 places!!! If not, I don't mind driving, but is nice to leave the car keys behind for a couple of weeks!
