Genoa moving around in the City without a vespa
Posted: Sat September 2, 2006 05:11 PM UTC

Hi All,

I have just moved to Genoa and have not yet figured out how to move myself in the local area from point A to point B. To date I have been walking miles in the hot August sun!. Does anyone know where I can get a bus itinerary that details all bus numbers and where they go? is there perhaps a website? Thanks in advance for any help.

I'll be in Genoa in Novemeber for one day......can you advise me as to what I 'should' do. I'm not crazy about museums, but do like markets, architecture, gardens, parks......I know I can't do everything...but will settle for 2 or 3 events.

Thank you!

Genoa Hotel near airport help

WE have a VERY eary flight out of Genoa and are looking for a clean, inexpensive hotel close to the airport. A nearby smaller town would be OK - we just need to be able to get a bus, train or taxi at 5:45am.

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of visiting Genoa (and the surrounding area) many times this summer. I'm wondering if there are any nice beaches in the vicinity of Genoa. What about nice coastal towns near by? All suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Genoa Advice on finding room wanted
Posted: Sun May 14, 2006 05:30 AM UTC
Hi. My daughter, who is 15, will be arriving in Genoa from Australia on 1st June, and starting an intensive 3 month Italian course on 5th June. We have joined easystanza, but most of the rooms are older students sharing together. Does anyone know how we might locate a room with a family (single or two parents with at least 1 child), as this would be more suitable for a young girl on her own, and would be better for learning the language faster.I phoned one from easystanza, but room had already gone. We will be joining her at the end of the course and travelling around Italy and Europe.

Genoa Cheap accommodation around Genoa
Posted: Fri May 12, 2006 07:51 PM UTC
I am looking for cheap accommodation - meaning lower than 80 eur / double room - around Genoa, meaning I really want not to enter with my car in Genoa, but leave it at this b&b and take the train some 20-30 minutes, or maybe more to Genoa. I've seen guides recomending Santa Margherita Ligure, but the prices are high, or maybe Camogli, Recco, Bogliasco, anything that is nice and near the railway (well not exactly right near the trains). Can you tell me where to look for this? Tx!!

Genoa Looking for a Room to Rent in Genoa this Summer
Posted: Fri May 5, 2006 12:59 AM UTC
Hi,

I will be moving to Genoa the middle of May and I was wondering the easiest way to find a room to rent. Is it best to look in the local paper or are there any good websites I should check out? I will be staying from May 17th until September 1st. I am from a small surf town in California called Santa Cruz. I am looking to do some travel around Italy and this will be my third time in Genoa. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Genoa Work in Savona/Genoa???
Posted: Thu April 6, 2006 01:42 PM UTC
Good Afternoon,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Neil Agnew, a 27 year old Northern Irishman. I am relocating to Savona, Italy, on the 24th April 2006, with my partner.

We already have an appartment in the center of Savona and my partner has a job, starting immediately.

Therefore, I am currently looking for a position before I arrive. I am currently working as an IT support professional providing internet support to Eircom (Ireland's leading telecommunication company) customers. Does anyone know of any Native English Speaking positions or jobs within the tourism industry that may be suitable?

I also have many years experinence as a barman. Are there any Irish/English pubs?

I am very customer driven and my communication skills are excellent. I am ambitious, hardworking and very independent. I have lived abroad for many years and speak Dutch.

I am available for an interview immediately upon my arrival. Can send CV on request.

Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Bye,

Neil Agnew

Genoa How do I get from Genoa to Lugano, Switzerland??
Posted: Wed February 8, 2006 10:51 AM UTC
I need to get from Genoa to Lugano, Switzerland next Wednesday. Can you please let me know the easiest way to do it? It doesn't have to be the mostv cost effective way either, just the least hassle. How long would it take in a taxi and what is the approximate cost? How about trains? I looked at flying but it goes back into rome and then onto lugano. seems a bit daft to do it that way.
