When is the coolest time of year to visit Sao Paulo?

i will be traveling to sao paulo and i need to get in the city but i dont want to take a cab since i will be going around many places and i would like to be able to rent a car, but after doing some research i couldnt find any rent a car places

I'll be in Sao Paulo from April 5th until April 9th in a business trip. Could somebody recommend if it is possible to attend to some samba show which reproduces the Carnival atmosphere? If I'm not wrong, I heard that some samba schools have permanent groups of musicians and dancers that organize performances and shows outside of Carnival season. As alternative, is there any good show to enjoy the authentic brazilian folkclore? Thanks in advance

I'm flying into Sao Paolo for work but would like to go to Rio de Janeiro afterwards. Is it possilbe to drive and if so how far is it. I've read some things that say there is a nice coastal route vs. the inland route. What is the best way to go? Also, what are some nice beaches around Rio to stay at that are not as crowded. Thanks!

My wife and I are traveling to Maresias in mid Feb. I would appreciate recommendations with regard to reasonable hotels with ocean view. Also would like to know if there are any recommended day trips... my wife and I enjoy beach, history, diving and fishing. Regarding transportation, are taxis available or can I rent scooter or car for 3-4 days.

We will be arriving at night at Guarulhos Airport from Salvador Bahia. We will rent a car and then drive to a hotel for the night. Does anyone know a hotel that is within short and easy driving distance from the airport?
Is it difficult to get to the Ibis Guarulhos? Is that one pretty close? Any other suggestions? @#e are leaving within a week, so a quick reply would be appreciated.

I arrive in Sao Paulo (GRU) on a Tuesday at 9:45 am from Canada where I've connected in Newark on a Continental Airlines flight. I have 55 minutes to get a connecting flight to Rio (GIG). Do I have enough time? Do I clear customs in Sao Paulo? I've read things about being fingerprinted and photographed. Does that apply to me? I'm thinking of just having a carry-on bag and no checked luggage. Will this speed things up?

I shall much appreciate opinions on the value of an excursion to Sao Paulo from Santos as part of a cruise. It is $190. Canadian/US and lasts 8 hours. Pick up and return to the ship.
Places planned in the tour are, The historic district, Patteo do Collegio, Catederal da Se, Mosteiro de Sao Bento, Jardins, Pauista Ave., Ibirapuera Park. Some shopping on Oscar Freire St. or Ibirapuera Mall. Lunch at a local restaurant is included and I'm sure it will be a very good one.

My daughter and her boyfriend are scheduled to fly from Rio to Sao Paulo Congonhas Airport arriving around 5:30 pm. They are scheduled to fly home to Los Angeles from GRU airport at 9:05 pm. I understand there is a shuttle but a will they have enough time to make their flight home if it is rush hour? We can rebook to a much earlier flight from Rio that flies directly into GRU around 2:00 pm and they will have to wait for the 9.05pm flight. What do you recommend is the best option?

Hello - I am a bit stuck. I am flying into SP GRU. from the UK and arrive at 20.00. I need to get an overnight bus to Flori to arrive the next day. I have had a look at the site: http://www.autoviacao1001.com.br and all their buses are booked up. They also leave at 21.45 and I don't think I'd make it to the bus station in time.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to turn up at Tiete and get on a bus direct to Florianopolis without booking? Do buses to Flori leave from Tiete and how long would it take from touch down at 20.00 to arrive at Tiete? would it be best to get there by taxi or bus .

Sorry for all the questions but I am totally confused - i really, really hope someone can help

Me and my husband are arriving in sao paolo on the 6th of dec at around 10pm from the international airport (GRU i think). We are leaving the day after to take the bus to rio.
My question is:
Accommodation,cheap and safe and also close to where the airportbus drops you off? And perhaps not to far away from the Terminal tiete?
Might be a little bit tolate to get an answer. But thanks anyway.

We're arriving in Sao Paulo on Thursday 31st January 2008 at 9.10pm and need to get to Rio for the carnaval. Are there any bus services that go directly from Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport to Rio de Janeiro and do buses run this late? I can't seem to find any buses or websites that can tell me. Please help!!!

I'll be spending anywhere from 2 weeks to a month in Sae Caetano do Sul from December to January and am looking for some cheap, decent accommodation. I can't find any info on hostels or short term apartment rentals or even renting a room somewhere (in the area). Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd be really grateful!
