I have a big luggage with a haversack. I was wondering if there is any Storage place to store my big luggage for half-a-day or even one day in the Main Train Station. Can the storage keep BIG luggage? How much does it cost?
My husband is going to a football match in the Signal Iduna Stadion in Dortmund and he's trying to decide which train to take for the return trip. Has anyone walked from the DB stop at the Signal Iduna Stadion from the stadium? It's quite close, judging from the map on the website, but is it more a matter of five minutes or rather 10/15 minutes?
Hello,
Are there any clubs in Bonn or Koeln where you can really dance. Where it's not like a pub, but with a dance floor and really good club music. (not just techno and house but good dancing music???)
We're booked to come and visit Cologne for the first weekend of the Christmas markets and would really appreciate some advice on the practical logistics.
1. We will have a car - I realise there is a low emission system and limited parking in the centre. We have young children in our party, so would like recommendations for where to park to visit the markets. One hotel said there was free parking outside it and the markets would be about 10 mins walk from there??
2. A lot of people seem to recommend visiting all of the markets! Any recommendations for what to do first and the order to approach them?
3. Do you recommend the Duesseldorf market too? Also, we wondered about any village markets nearby that might be a nice alternative?
4. I'm sure we will be eating all along the way as we walk around the markets, but are always keen to eat yummy local food. Please do recommend!
5. Lastly, should we just stick to the markets, or what would be the must-sees in Cologne/area?

Hi we are travelling in May next year and are planning to spend our second day in Cologne meeting some friends before driving to Amsterdam.
As this will be Thursday,May 13 Ascension day, will traffic, restaurants and things in general be very different from a normal day?
We have been thinking that if that is the case we should plan to spend that day driving to Amsterdam, returning our car and familiarising ourselves with our surroundings. Or will it just seem like a quiet Sunday?
Thanks for your help. A&K
Hi! I will be visiting Duesseldorf in December, and will be staying at The Airport Sheraton (2 nights). Can travel passes be purchased to get into the city? How much are they? Really looking forward to my visit and hope that somebody can help. With very best regards. Darryl
I will be visiting Bonn for a few days in early November and am trying to find a cheap hostel to stay in. The address I need to be close to is Bergstrasse 126.
Can someone suggest a hostel in the area?
What is the last train from Dusseldorf Main Station to Frankfurt Main Station? Are there any train service past midnight, say 2am, 3am in the morning to Frankurt? Does the ticket office open 24 hours in Dusseldorf? Can I purchase the ticket on the midnight train itself?
How long is the train journey from Dusseldorf to Frankurt?

Hi!
I will be visiting Dusseldorf with my wife and two children in late November. I was wondering how the weather would be. Besides any suggestions for a safe location to stay, any attractions (such as zoo, park, etc.) for our 2 & 6 years old kids, shopping outlets if any.
Thank you in advance ...
hi can anyone give me any advice on accomodation in bochum as the wales squad will be travelling there for the world hip hop champs and we will need either a youth hostel or a friendly child friendly hotels in the area of the city of Bochum, all help will be appreciated
From my not-so-good map, it looks like I can kayak from the end of the Dortmund-Ems Kanal to Duisburg. If this is so, then I would like to travel up the Rhein. Is the current from Duisburg to the Main swift? By swift, I mean would it be greater than 4knots? Is there a portion of the Rhein on that stretch that is requlated by schluses? Where would I find this information? Any feedback would certainly be appreciated.

Hi- I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas/advice as to what there is to do on New Years Eve in the city for families. My family will be there on New Years Eve-(we have a car but we are staying in the city) this will be toward the end of our trip- our children's ages are 2, 6, 14. We have done the ski thing before in other countries on New Years- and we plan on skiing on our trip already-so when I did a search and the only event I could find for families was an indoor ski area.... thought I would seek some guidance!! Thanks for the help!
Hi,
Any recommendation on any cheap/budget hostel kinda budget accommodation web site? We (my self, wife our small kid and 2 more guys) looking to stay just for a night in Dusseldorf.
Even Shared toilet/shower is OK.
Hi,
We are hiring a car from Dusseldorf to Switzerland. But car company charges e-40 for a child seat. Is there a way we could rent a child seat for much cheaper price for 3 days in Dusseldorf/Weeze Airport?
Myself and a friends are going to be in Maastricht soon and we want to hop the bus to Aachen and over indulge in beer. I have made this journey many times but normally I have dinner and maybe do a bit of shopping but never just for purpose of drinking lots of beer. Can someone give me some ideas of some pubs that might not be so popular with tourist but rather will more locals? I know my way around Aachen pretty well but as stated just never focused on searching for such beer halls ect.
my parents were told by a travel agent that the S-Bahn from Hbf to DUS airport is not running in the night and that they need to book a hotel with airport transfer.
My parents intend to fly on Aug 13th and need to be at the airport around 5:30 am.
I checked on www.bahn.de and from the information there the S-Bahn is running, can anybody shed some light on this?
(My guess is that the travel agent was lying to my parents because she wanted to sell that hotel, but I would like to confirm that the S-Bahn is indeed running from Hbf.)
I have a coach booked from Cologne to Belgrade on Saturday. Can anyone tell me where the coach station is in Cologne please?
The ticket says, Hbf. Omnibusbahnhof, but when I google it the staion is not even in Cologne
My friend and I are visiting Dusseldorf and are looking for a fun city to stay at for a few days that would be on the way or not too far out of the way from Amsterdam because that would be our next destination. Any suggestions for two 21 year old girls?
We will be in Düsseldorf next week. Then we want go to Paris by train.
Does anyone know if its possible to go to Paris by train?
Is there any direct train to Paris ?(from Düsseldorf)
Wow, the VRS site isn't too user friendly. Can anyone help me determine the cheapest form of city transportation? My wife and I will be staying there on September 7 - 11. Is the "Welcome Card" the best way to go or should we just buy the Daily Passes?
Thank You!
was wondering if anyone can help me... im planning to attend F1 grand prix in Neurburg/Neurburgring i will be staying in Cologne over that weekend... does anyone know what is the best way of getting to and from Neuburgring? i dont drive so the only option is train/bus shuttle...
I tried to purchase all my train tickets (On Line)from Paris to Amsterdam via Cologne but the last leg of my journey was put "On Hold". Rail Europe states that there are construction issues from Cologne to Amsterdam. Should I cancel that leg and try when I'm there or wait until they confirm. Our trip is in September and I was already unable to get the economy seating.
Thanks,
Ken
This bonehead didn't catch the layover in Aachen when he booked the trip. I'll be heading to Brussels. Any suggestions? All night coffee shop where I won't get hassled? Can't miss the train at 6.45. Don't want to wander the streets like a vagrant. Is there a nearby place to check in for a few hours? That accepts people so late at night? Can't believe I did this. Sign me -
