Posted: Thu February 28, 2008 05:28 PM UTC
Hello, we will be travelling to La Spezia in May this year by car. we have a hotel but no parking. I was wondering how much is it to park per day at the local parking lots? is it better to stay in La Spezia or livorno? I heard Livorno is less touristy?!

La Spezia Hotels in Cinque terre
Posted: Wed December 5, 2007 07:38 PM UTC
Ciao

Althoug I've never been there the Cinque Terre it gives me the impression of being a laid-back kind of place. My parents like to stay in nice hotels, not exacly 5 star but maybe 3 or four. What are recomendations for nice clean hotels with a view and terrace.

I looked over La Mala B&B but they do not reply to my emails. I need to start thinking about other options.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Grazie

La Spezia Cinque Terre Arguments
Posted: Mon November 19, 2007 02:57 AM UTC
Is Cinque terre really a wonderful as people say?

I need some arguments to convince my parents to go there on the next family trip as they are hesitant about visiting the area.

If they choose to go, I think we would be staying in Manarola, it is a good choice?

La Spezia Cinque Terre in November?
Posted: Tue September 25, 2007 12:17 AM UTC
Hello,

We will be flying into Milan the end of November. I really want to visit the Cinque Terre. Is that a good choice that time of year? What is the weather usually like? Will we most likely be able to hike?

If it's recommended, how do we get there from Milan? How many nights should we stay? I was thinking about staying 4 nights. Is that too long? What town is recommended?

Sorry I have so many questions! All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

La Spezia Getting around
Posted: Sun August 13, 2006 07:23 PM UTC

Hello!

We will be coming into La Spezia by train on September 9th. Question #1: Are there two train stations there?

There will be six of us, including a 2-year old and a 5 year old, plus all of the assorted luggage. We're actually staying in Tellaro. Question #2: Is a car hire necessary for us, and if so, where do we find a car hire place?

If a car hire is not necessary - we can get around by train and bus - I think we will need a taxi (or 2!) to get all of us from the train station to and from Tellaro. Would a taxi be available at the train station? And what do you think the charge would be?

Thanks!

Hi,

His name is Marco Andreani and he would be between roughly 42 and 44 years old and he served in the Military in Novara around 1984/5
I would love to say Hi and know that he is well and happy and contact me if possible via this forum. Thank you. Sally (England)

La Spezia Cinque Terre----parking in La Spezia???
Posted: Wed April 20, 2005 07:01 PM UTC
Ok---we've got the trip planned. We want to park in La Spezia while we take the train into the 5 lands. We plan to leave the car for 2-3 days. Is there plenty of parking in La Spezia? Is it paid parking? Is it secured? Any other suggestions???

Another quick question....What train station do we need to be at to catch the train into Cinque Terra??? I see 3 different stations located in La Spezia.

Thank you!

We're looking to drive from Geneva to La Spezia and would like to camp in the area of the Cinqque Terre. Can anyone recommend a good campground? We will have only a car and will pitch a tent, so we don't need accomodations for a trailor. Thanks for any info you can provide!!! Joyce

La Spezia Walking from train station (centrale) in La Spezia
Posted: Mon April 26, 2004 11:51 PM UTC
Hi - I am taking a wonderful 10th anniversary trip with my husband end of May to Italy and will be picking up a car at Avis in La Spezia(after 3 days in Cinque Terre to head to Tuscany). It looks like Avis is less than a km away and would like to know if walking south from station possible? In general is La Spezia pedestrian friendly? Thanks to anyone in advance who could help.
(Sorry don't have picture to post but just to give you idea about us we are a mid thirties couple, who married as we started med school - after ten amazing and challenging years that included the addition of twin girls to our family and transition (for me) from professional life to full time motherhood we are finally taking a dream vacation - sans children! - to Italy)

La Spezia camping in cinque terre
Posted: Wed April 21, 2004 09:33 AM UTC
We are looking for a nice camping near 5terre. Any recommendations?
Did anybody walk other trail than the coastal one? There are supposed to be two more, middle and upper trails which connect Portovenere and Levanto. How is the view? Are the “open” or run in a scrub and forest which prevent from seeing?

La Spezia Spanish football Match
Posted: Thu April 15, 2004 01:06 PM UTC
Hi!

I'm a football fan from Spain and I'll be in La Spezia the day April 25th. That day the most important football match in Spain (Real Madrid - FC Barcelona) is played. Anyone could tell me if there is any bar or pub to see international football matches in La Spezia, or in other city nearby (maybe Genoa)?

Thanks!

La Spezia Moneglia
Posted: Thu August 21, 2003 11:00 AM UTC
This year we visited the Cinque Terra and stayed in a super hotel in Deiva Marina (Hotel Clelia) which we highly recommend.

We want to return to this area next year, but for a longer stay. We intend to go back to Hotel Clelia, but are also interested in staying in Moneglia.

Does anyone have any hotel recommendations. Hotel Villa Eldera looks great. Has anyone stayed there?

We have 2 children, so would like to know what the beach is like at Moneglia?
