We are going to Singapore tomorrow. We are wondering if we should take train from airport to hotel (Fragrance Rose , Balestier road) or should we take taxi from airport. Could you advise us. There are 4 of us with light baggage. Is there a taxi stand in Novana MRT station.

We will be staying in KL for 3 days (husband, self and kid) and then I plan to make a short 3 day trip to Singapore and back while my hubby is in KL on business.

1. I plan to take a day bus to Sing. since I beleive this is faster (Transtar / Aeroline). Is it safe for a woman and kid to travel alone and how long would it take. Or would you suggest flying? I am looking to balance budget with safety and ease of travelling.

2. I plan to stay in NSS, Bugis. Please suggest which buses would arrive closest to this hotel. Also, are there any other decent hotels in a central location at the same rate as NSS.

3. Since I have been to Sing. two years back, I would like to see the newer attractions. Apart from Vivocity, lights show at Sentosa what else can I go to? Is the Sing. flyer / marina bay area open yet?

We are arriving Singapore by bus at around 2 or 3 am. The bus station is at Bugis area. How can we go to the Sentosa island? Is taxi the only means? If yes, how much will it cost? Thanks a lot!

Just a quickie, if you have any downloaded movies on your laptop, should i remove them before going to singapore or will they not check the laptop?

Hi there, my friends and I are going to MY and SG next week. We will be arriving SG by bus from MY early in the morning. Then, we will be staying in SG for 1 night. Can anyone suggest an itinerary for this short trip?

On day 1, we have no plans yet to do in the morning but in the evening, we would like to go to the night safari.
On day 2, our plan is to go to Sentosa. My friend told me that we need a whole day to spend in Sentosa so maybe we'll leave our luggages first at the hotel as we don't want to carry them around. Then just get them back at the end of the day (after Songs of the Sea show) and then go to the airport to catch our late evening flight.

Also, any suggestion for a good hotel where we can stay? Maybe around USD100-150 per night (?) Or does it have to be in Sentosa island so that we won't be rushing to the airport?

what's the weather like recently? i initially thought that all day would be bright and sunny in singapore so i planned to pack casual, summery shirts and skirts. but then i saw the weather guides that it'd be rainy especially in the late afternoon. I live in dubai (where's no little or no rain at all :-)) so i wanted to know how is it there? id it raining hard or a light drizzle? at what time usually? cant i watch the evening shows outdoors because of the weather?

We are going to Singapore in May and would like to visit Johor Bahru for half day. Our hotel is New Seven Storey, 229 Rochor road. How far is the bus 170 terminal to the hotel and will we have to go to bus terminal or can we get on along the bus route. For EZ link card for bus ride, will we have to tap the card every time get out at checkpoints. Are city square, Kotataya bus station , Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque and JB city center in walking distance from Malaysian checkpoint.

We're going to Singapore in July and at the moment my son is saving for a PSP. Is it worthwhile him waiting till we get to Singapore to get it or should he get it in Australia? If we were to get it in Singapore, where is best place to go, most reliable, trustworthy etc? And would the games and and everything be compatable once we got it back home to Australia? I'm heading to SE Asia in June/July and am going on a tour coming down through malaysia that leaves me in singapore for a couple of days before I fly home. I was just wondering what the accomodation was like for backpackers and if there were any particular places I should see? Popular bars for students as well :) ?
I arrive on a thursday and leave on saturday evening, would it be best just to stay in singapore (I'm not really a big fan of cities) or is there a day/overnight trip that could take me somewhere else worthwhile?

My wife and I will be in Singapore for a couple of days in early July. We've read about day trips to Malaysia from there and were wondering if anyone who has been on one of these trips can advise us whether it was worthwhile and what it cost.

I want to do a bit of shopping whilst in singapore but i was wondering if i can use Australian dollars there ?
Do they accept all currency or would it be better getting it exchanged for singapore dollars ??
oh and has anyone bought a mobile phone there before? My partner wants an iphone but i dont want to get it home and not work??
