1 afternoon/evening in Singapore Posted: Mon September 28, 2009 07:44 AM UTC
Hi, I'm going to be in Singapore for 1 afternoon/evening. If I had to chose only 1 or 2 things to do in Singapore what would they be? I'm staying quite central and have to return to KL the following morning so I literally have some 7 hours to 'see' Singapore.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Are the lowcost airlines reliable? Posted: Mon September 28, 2009 03:02 AM UTC
Hi there!
Next year I will fly from Ho chi Min City to Singapore with Tiger Airlines and then about five hours later from Singapore to Australia.
I know that these airlines do not honor connections so it is my responsibility to allow enough time for a connection.
As I live in Europe I am not familiar with these airlines (ask me about Ryanair however and I can talk all day).
So my question is if Tiger Airways is a reliable, on-time airline?
Five hours is a lot of time for a connection (but not if the flight is canceled...)

singapore for couple of days and then? Posted: Fri September 25, 2009 10:48 AM UTC
Hi!
I will be travelling from Europe to Singapore in December for couple of days. We (me and my husband) were thinking of going somewhere else in Asia, preferably beach resort, with direct connection from Singapore. All in all, we only have around 10 days to spent. We have been to Thailand before so this time we would like to go somewhere else (Thailand was great, though).
Thanks in advance!

Zana

Pls HELP on directions Posted: Tue August 25, 2009 01:03 PM UTC
Hello again! With the help of our Vters, I was finally able to pick a hotel for my brother when he goes to Singapore next month. It's Classique Hotel. May i ask you if you know how he could reach his hotel the easiest way from Changi Airport? Classique Hotels's address is 240 Jalan Besar, Singapore. Since taking a taxi can be quite expensive there, I hope you could direct us using the metro or bus. thanks so much!

Planning trip to Singapore and region Posted: Thu August 20, 2009 06:58 PM UTC
Hello!
I have been to Singapore before and loved it! This time around I'm planning to travel with my sister and also visit some places in Malaysia and Indonesia. I will have 2 weeks available for travel. I want to explore Singapore beyond the touristy places. What are some places not well known by tourists that will give me an understanding of the local cultures? What would be the best way to go about accommodation? I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive room (hotel or hostel). Should I book ahead or book the hotel for 2 nights and then figure it out on the spot? Should I book 2 weeks in Sg or just for the time that I'll physically be there? I plan to travel outside Sg and by booking 2 weeks is my way of holding the room until I come back let's say from Malaysia and Indonesia.
What are some places that I could visit in Malaysia other than Malacca and JB, which I know are close by. How about in Indonesia? I am mostly interested in the local cultures moreso than touristy places although those would be interesting, too.

Short trip 2 days 1 nights Posted: Thu July 23, 2009 07:59 AM UTC
Me and my friends will be in Singapore for 2 days and 1 night on 8-9 August.
We will arrive there in the late morning and leave Singapore Airport in the evening about 7 pm. I would like to see city centre, China town, Orchad Road, Riverside, Little India, Mirlion, night life and any interesting place. Mostly activities there are sightseeing and take photos.
Could you please help us to arrange where should we start and go to see all these activities or more?
By the way we are going to stay at Rucksack Inn. Is it a good place to stay too?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Singapore to Batam Posted: Fri July 17, 2009 09:20 AM UTC
Hi Everyone,
Arriving in Singapore at 7PM at the budget terminal and have to go to Batam on the same night.
I checked Penguin Ferry and found a boat that leaves at 9:20pm. Is this a feasible schedule?
Are there other boats from Singapore to Batam?
Are these schedule reliable?
