Malcesine going to Malcesine....
Posted: Sun July 6, 2008 10:32 PM UTC
Hello. May I have 2 questions, related to traveling from Peschiera to Malcesine?
1.) Please advise from what place in Peschiera is going bus 62-64? I have located Bus schedule and there is mentioned Bus Stop Peschiera - Stazione F.S. Does it means railway station? I am coming from Milano by rail.
2.) How much is the bus ticket from Peschiera to Malcesine (cca)? Where can I buy this ticket?
Many thanks. Marco

Malcesine Train and Bus Travel to Malcesine
Posted: Thu June 12, 2008 09:46 AM UTC
I'm traveling to Malcesine next Monday and I plan to get the train from Mestre to Verona and then the bus.

Quick question about tickets, would any of you advice booking them before we leave? I see i can book them online and get ticketless, but you can never be too sure we'll get to the station on time and then have to change the tickets anyway.

Is there a fare you can buy online that means you can travel at any time on the train that day for example?

Any advice would be appreciated thank you,

Malcesine SHARE TAXI FROM BERGAMO - MALCESINE
Posted: Sun May 11, 2008 08:27 AM UTC
Hi
I am flying with my husband into Bergamo airport on Fri 30 May to stay in Malcesine for a week. As I am pregnant we can't face doing the journey by public transport, are not keen on driving ourselves and are blanching at the cost of a taxi - cheapest quote I've had is 145 E each way (not too bad compared to some others!).
We would be interested in sharing the cost of a taxi transfer if anyone is travelling on the same date/s to a similar destination? Our flight arrives in Bergamo 1500h.
Thanks

Malcesine October in Malcesine
Posted: Wed September 12, 2007 12:06 PM UTC
Hello,

My family is considering going to Venice during the third week of October and would like to add a side trip to Lake Garda. We are wondering if there are activities to interest our children (ages 11 & 13) that time of year. Is it possible to rent a sailboat? How difficult is the hiking? Which city would you recommend staying in? I am looking at both Bardolino and Malcesine. I would appreciate any input.

Malcesine How to get to Malcesine
Posted: Wed May 2, 2007 10:57 AM UTC
Hi, me and my wife are travelling to Malcesine (lake Garda) in early June and will be arriving by train (from Venice) at Verona Porta Nuova train station. We were wondering whether to get a hire car for the week, or just get a taxi / bus to the resort (although I've read that the bus takes a long time). We don't want to get a hire car if it is then best to travel around the lake and see the area by boat. I have heard that travelling by road around the lake can be very busy and I don't want to get a car for a week and then end up leaving it unused all week.
Dose anyone know how much a taxi is likely to be? And should I get a hire car or not?
