Hi everybody, I am going to spend next Sunday and Monday in Milano. I booked already at Hotel Agape in Via Flumendosa for Sunday night and I would like some suggestions for a restaurant nearby. I am not searching for something fancy but I would like to try some local specialty well cooked and reasonable priced. I dont mind going to a different neighborhood if it will be served by public transportation (bus-tram-metro.
I would appreciate any suggestion.

Hi.. I am flying into Milan(Bergamo) with Wizz Air arriving around 8 AM.. Hv to catch a train to venice from Milan Central around 1 PM.. would like to know the

1. cheapest way to get to Milan central from bergamo airport(suppose i take public bus to bergamo train station and then a train ticket to milan central.. as i read somewhere is it convenient travel in terms of ticketing etc???)

2. since I have a couple of hours to kill at Milan I am planning to have a quik dekko on the fashion street at Milan.. just window shopping.. any directtiosn what metro to take and how to get the ticks and fare?

3. does milan central have a decent/safe luggage room as i hv read that the area is a bit notorious??

Are there two train terminals or stops in Milano, on the Bologna -> Milano Eurostar run? I read somewhere one is Milano Centrale and the other Girabaldi, is this true? If so which terminal/stop is closer to the eastern ring road of Milano? Ultimate goal is Linate aeroporto, and I don't want to waste time.

Where do I get the shuttles to Linate after disembarking the train in Milano. Can you tell I'm a novice?????

I'll be in Milano 20-22 September. Besides "The Last Supper" I'm interested in shoping also :-)
Is there in Milano stores with fabrics (cottons, silk)? Or discount stores with fabrics? And how to go there from the center?

Hi!

I'm off to Lombardy tomorrow and I'll be in Milano on Saturday. As I'll travel by car I'd like to know where to park (possibly close to centre) for couple of hours (will be on my way to lake Como that day so I plan only to stop in Milano for few hours, half a day at most).
Could someone please point me out few parking places (possibly with address so I can just write it in GPS and not get totally lost) and approx. parking fees so I'll know what to expect :)

I am traveling from Milan to Nice in early May and returning to Milan after 5 days. The only flights I find have connections, mostly through other countries, and the train schedule doesn't look much better. Is there a reasonable and efficient way to travel between Milan and Nice?

I pull into town on April 26th and this will be my second trip to Milano.
I saw one VT suggestion for GASOLINE CLUB for a nightlife hangout.
Is it still open and is it in/around/or close to the Central Station or down near the Duomo/Galleria area? There has to be some great drop in place on a week night. There are too many people in Milan, so are they hiding somewhere?

Hi all,

For a first timer visiting Milan for one day/one night, how much am I missing if I check out the usual attractions on a Monday vs. Tuesday? I understand half of Milan's establishments are closed on Monday. Thing is though, Monday is ideal for my itinerary. But if I'm missing a lot checking out Milan on a Monday, I'll change my itinerary to go Tuesday instead.
