My husband and I will be arriving at the Milano Centrale Train Station, our son will be arriving at Malpensa Airport. We all get in around 10 am and our trip continues to Menaggio. We need to meet up and travel to Menaggio.

What is the most efficient route (by time) to get to Menaggio?

i am looking for a good quality cheaper hotel for my son and girlfriend who are visiting milan for a short city break 4th to 6th june. Near city centre for all tourist sites etc. would be ideal or somewhere close to transport links. Any suggestions and approx prices

My wife and I will be in Milan beginning July 10, 2008. The fine folks at Perillo cancelled our tour and put us on one leaving a day earlier. I got tickets to the Last Supper online for Saturday, July 12. Now our only opportunity to see it would be on Friday, July 11. There are still many tickets available on Friday, but not many on Saturday. If you are interested in going on Saturday and want guaranteed tickets, I would be happy to help you reserve for Friday and then trade you for my Saturday tickets... It's only $16 Euros, but a Euro's a Euro, no?

I'm looking for a nice, but affordable hotel in the Porta Romana area of Milano for May 11 or 12. I'm visiting someone who lives on Viale Sabotino, and would like to stay as close as possible. I read online that the Hotel Porta Romana is pretty terrible, so that would not be a possibility.

I am arriving in Milan on June 7 and wish to get to southern Tuscany by plane. I am looking for cheap flights to either Perugia or Florence to connect with tour plan. Any ideas? Alitalia is very expensive.

I have to go to Milan for business in June. I have a day off on Sunday and would like to go on a day trip (by train?) to somewhere scenic in the mountains. Any suggestions?

Any reccommended hotels or pensione near Bocconi University? Can you walk to the University? It looks like the road is a freeway or other big road... maybe you cannot walk to the University from any hotel?

Hello everybody, I'm trying to book a hostel in Milan for June 12 & 13, and I've just found 2 of them: the HI Piero Rotta and the Hostel Diablo...the ratersof the first one do not recommend it that much, saying it's kind of far from Milan centre. About Hostel Diablo...would anyone recommend it?
One more thing, about public transportation (metro): how late does it close?

I have organised a hen weekend 29 Aug - 2nd sept 2008, is there anything you would recommend to see, is it worth taking a trip to the lakes, if so do you know how much/how long it takes to get there?!

Also (sorry for all the questions!) my Nona comes from Mali Losinj and i was wondering if i stayed an extra few days if it is possible to get there from Milan?

I have booked a hen weekend in Milan from the 29th August to 1st September. It wasnt until after we had booked that i read somewhere that Milan is deserted in August as everyone heads to the lakes, is this true??!! Please tell me there will be shops and bars etc still open as i am dreading telling the bride to be!

Hi everyone - looking to spend 2 days in Milan (May 28-May30th). Are there any budget hotels in a nice area (2 girls are traveling) that are close to Duomo and other attractions as well as the nightlife?

I will have an early flight and need to get to Malpensa around 6AM. Assuming I stay in Milan center, do both the Malpensa Express and the shuttle buses run all night? Besides the one hour trip to the airport, how often do the trains and buses run at night? Thanks.

I have to go to Amsterdam from Milan and know I've a couple of travel options-- via plane or night train. Is the night train really much cheaper than taking a budget plane? And would you recommend that? I'm on a budget obviously, and I'd like to know what the best way is.

I will be arriving on Sunday in Milan for a four day City break, my wife wants to know will there be any shops open on Easter Sunday or the Monday the 24th March. If not, what other activities may be available over those two days like museums, cathedrals, shows or entertainment on?

Can anyone please advise me as to the fastest way to get by train from Avignon to Milan? I need to travel the 21 May 2008, preferably in the shortest time/ most direct route as possible.
