Hello,

would it be difficult for non korean speakers to get from Seoul to Sokch'o to spend a couple of days at Seoraksan National Park? What would be the easiest way?

Then do we say in Sokcho' then take the bus daily to the park or? I've been reading up on the lonely planet but it doesnt tell me exactly how to get ther and i'm afriad tat not speaking korean may be a problem.

Thank you.

Sokch'o Sokcho Express Bus Terminal VS Sokcho Intercity Bus Terminal - any lodging in midnight?
Posted: Wed December 13, 2006 04:37 PM UTC
I will arrive at Seoul airport at 5:30pm on Jan 22 (Monday).
I wanna take a bus to Sokcho.
Do you think I should take the 23:30 bus or 20:30 bus?

There are two bus terminals in Sokcho:
- Sokcho Express Bus Terminal for 20:30 bus
- Sokcho Intercity Bus Terminal for 23:30 bus

Do you think I can still find a motel when i arrive at Sokcho so late?
without advanced booking.

I plan to base on and stay in Sokcho and do the following activities:
- seeing Mt Seoraksan diff areas for two days (e.g. half day trip each trail)
- visting a ski resort and try skiing for one day
- going to Hwacheon Mountain Trout Festival for one day

Going back to Seoul on Jan27.
overnight in Seoul then fly back to Hong Kong on Jan 28 morning.

How to go to Hwacheon Mountain Trout Festival?

Sorak-sanmaek Mount Sorak Accommodation
Posted: Thu September 21, 2006 03:25 PM UTC
Hi,

I will be going Korea in Oct 06 on free and easy. Will be going to Mount Sorak/Sokcho for 2 nights. Any recommendation on accommodation? It seems quite difficult to get a reasonably price hotel which is also convenient. My budget is US100. Thanks!

Sorak-sanmaek Mount Sorak in early Oct 2005
Posted: Thu September 15, 2005 03:12 PM UTC
Hi

I will be re-visiting Mount Sorak National Park in early Oct 2005 as part of my South Korea holiday trip. Does anyone know whether the leaves will already turn to the autumn colours during this period of time?

Any information will be appreciated.

Regards
Victor
