Monterosso al Mare Hotel Advice
Posted: Sat April 12, 2008 08:30 PM UTC
Has anyone stayed at the LaSpiaggia Hotel in Monterosso, Italy? It seems to be so convenient to the train station - 1 block. We are looking for a place that is close or has a taxi service because we will have several suitcases with us. I have read both good and bad things about this hotel. In order to reserve a room you have to call them directly, which is not a problem. I just wanted to get some advice from people who have stayed there. Thanks so much for any help you can give me.

Monterosso al Mare Which town?
Posted: Wed April 2, 2008 07:32 PM UTC
A friend and I are visiting Cinque Terre from a Thursday to a Saturday in May. Which town should we stay in? We're 27, so we're hoping for a place that is beautiful with local flavor, and may have a small nightlife scene. We are not expecting to do any major partying, but we'd like to find something to do in the evenings. Which town would be best?

Thank you!

Could anyone tell me the cost of breakfast in Monterosso? I'm looking at a hotel that has one price for the room with breakfast and one price without breakfast. The difference is 5 Euro. Unfortunately, I do not know the quality of the breakfast. Any help would be appreciated.

Monterosso al Mare Transportation from Viterbo to Monterosso
Posted: Fri September 28, 2007 01:05 PM UTC
Hi there! I will be visiting Italy in October, specifically Rome, Viterbo, Cinque Terre and Venice. I was able to find information on how to get from Rome to Viterbo, but I hit a roadblock when it was time to look for transportation from Viterbo to Cinque Terre. Can anyone help me out? It might be too much to ask but the fastest way to get there would be preferable ;) Thanks a bunch!

Monterosso al Mare Summer Accommodation
Posted: Fri August 31, 2007 02:28 AM UTC
Hi, I'm heading back to Itly next year with my children and a dozen or so friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. I've booked villas at Castello Montelgufoni for 1 week and thought it would be nice to spend another week on the coast.
I had a 2 night stay at Monterosso last year and it rained for 2 days:-(
Thought it would be nice to go back in the summer this time. We would be looking for cheaper budget options.
Has anyone got any recommendations?
Another question,
How many of the towns have a beach? Is it only Monterosso?
Thanks for your help.
Ciao

Monterosso al Mare Cinque Terre Honeymoon Accomodations
Posted: Mon April 16, 2007 01:40 AM UTC
The last leg of my June honeymoon will be in Cinque Terre. We are trying to make arrangements to stay in Monterosso as close to the beach as possible. We have looked at many of the typical places that show up on a search but many are full. Does anyone know of a nice place (euro 130 or less) that fits that description and has availability June 3-June 6, 2007?
Thank you!

Monterosso al Mare Satying in Monterosso al Mare?
Posted: Sun March 26, 2006 12:34 PM UTC
My family and I are planning to stay in Monterosso al Mare for 2 weeks this summer. Is it "kid friendly" there? Do the beaches become extremely crowded? Will we bored if we are there for 2 weeks? Is it difficult to find a place to stay? Is it expensive? Can cars be rented there or is it easy to travel around by train?

Any info would be greatly apprciated.

Has anyone ever been to the "outdoor disco" that Frommers says takes place in Monterosso on Saturdays in summer? Is it worth making sure we go to Cinque Terre on the weekend versus during the week? (We're two single girls who'd like to have at least SOMETHING to do at night there.)

Monterosso al Mare Cinque Terre
Posted: Wed March 23, 2005 07:06 PM UTC
We are going to go from Menaggio to Cinque Terre for a day trip and then go from Cinque Terre to Florence. Where can I look up train schedules? The Trentitalia website gives me nothing. Also, what town should I start with in Cinque Terre in order to get a good and beautiful hike.

Thank you and happy travels.
