I/m planning my first trip to vietnam travelling from the south up to the north. will like to visit mui ne. the place looks really nice from my reading up...sand dues, etc. Anyone know where is a cheap and good place to stay. also, where to get a tour to visit the sand dunes and around the place.

Will really appreciate if someone can fill me in. Thanks alot in advance.

grateful for advice on arranging a private car transfer from airport to nha trang including approximate cost.

My bro and I are going to Nha Trang tomorrow and we need some advice. We are students and don't have much money so we just want to stay in some cheap hotel around $8 to $13. Does anyone know any cheap but nice hotels like that? We will stay there for a few days and want to make some friends there too. OK, thanks a lot.

Just so you know currently there has been many bags snatches and people getting robbed. I got followed home when i was on a moto by some prostitutes also on motos and the next minute i was about to walk into my hotel one grabbed me and the next minute i know, my camera with over 900 photos had gone. I have found one of them and i am in the process of getting my camera back at a fee of 1,000,000 dong though it seems all my photos have gone....

Can i have your advice on whether it is safe to dive with a non certified PADI centre?I'm only keen to just have an introductory /discovery course on scuba diving,don't really intend to pursue an open divers course,just wanted to get a feel of what scuba diving course.Can anyone recommend a good and cheap place at nha trang to try out diving?Thanks.Please offer me your views for or against,although i know there are many PADI courses available,but they're just a bit too expensive for me,thanks!

My husband and I are visiting Nha Trang for a few days next week. Can anyone recommend a good, quiet, clean hotel, not too far from the centre of things for $12-15 a night. We want air con, private hot water bathroom etc.

various sources suggest that hotels are cheaper when booked locally. Any idea fellows?

I am going out to Nha Trang for 6 months on a Diving Internship, I have never been there in my life, let alone the continent! So I need some fellow travellers that I can catch up with and basically party when I am not diving.So please get into contact...I need friends!

Does anyone have any advice for dealing with authorities out there? As I hear that they see Westerners as walking wallets.

hi,is there anyone who can reccomend good diving agents in nha trang. I will be there in mid november. Will it be a good time to dive also. And roughly, how much do they charge for 2 leisure dives?

Ive never been to Vietnam before and would like to stay somewhere that has a good beach but is also a good base from which to explore from. I would be using public transport/taxis to get about so does anyone know if this region has much to offer? Many thanks.

I'll be on a cruise ship and visiting Nha Trang on November 3rd.

1) I wanted to know if anyone has information where the cruise ship docks and how far it is from the resort area of Nha Trang.

2) Any guide or tour agency that offers a day tour of the city. Any recommended tour guide?

3) What are the must-see attractions? p.s. we're not into lying in the sun type of people.

Do anybody know the airfares in Vietnam right now? (one-way)I am interested in Hanoi-Hoi An(Danang, Hoi An (Danang)to Nha Trang and Nha Trang to Saigon. Hope someone knows this.

The airfares in the latest Lonely Planet looks quite reasonable, but they maight be wrong.

i, whats the easiest way to get from Nha Trang to Mui Ne? We are getting the train down from Hanoi and will probably stay in Nha Trang for a night or two before geading to Mui Ne. I'm guessing hiring a car will be the easiest, is this true, or is there an easier way? Is this easy to do? About how much will it cost? Our guide book is sketchy on the issue

My wife & I will be visiting Vietnam in December & plan on visiting Nha Trang...Can anyone please let me know if the weather would be nice towards the middle or end of December? Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated. If the weather is not as nice, does anyone have any suggestions of nice beaches wtih turquoise water & nice weather during this time? Thanks!

thinking of going here next August - is the weather ok then? Also thinking of staying at the Ana Mandera Resort - it looks great, but is it really worth the money? Any other hotels you can recommend? We want somewhere on the beach, but near to restaurants. Any advice on flights, too - flying from London Heathrow probably. The only sticking point at the moment is that it's 3 flights for us to get there. Anyone done it in one go ?

Should I be expecting heavy rainfall in the central area in December? If so, maybe my beach time should be spent elsewhere, or willit more likely be a case of regular afternoon rainfall but ok beyond that?
