ive read informations about the bus fares.. does the $12 fare from hcmc to phon penh and to siem reap already? or is it just hcmc to phnom penh? so $12 is just a one way ticket fare? thanks

hi guys..need some help.. we will be arriving in hcmc on may 1 around 1:00am and we will be leaving around 7 or 730am for phnom penh by bus...just wanted to ask if there's any place u can recommend for us to stay for those hours (like 4-5 hrs.)while we are waiting for our departure for phnom penh... either a hostel, an inn or smething will do.. and also thats near the bus station? hope to hear from u guys thanks:)

I'm planning a trip to Vietnam later this year and trying to decide if my trip should focus more on the north and middle parts as I have a limited amount of time. Are there any must sees in and around HCM? I'm planning to go to Hanoi and Ha Long Bay, so I'm not sure if I need to go to the Mekong Delta or the Cu Chi tunnels as the north has similar tunnels and Ha Long Bay. Any thoughts from anyone there on things that one just has to see in HCM?

Hi all, will be going to Vietnam in June 2008 for about 2 weeks. Was looking for some nice but affordable accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City ( Saigon ) and found the Ordinary Bed & Breakfast which I like. But searching on the internet for the hotel's own website or any link how to contact them directly by email wasn't really successful. Has anyone stayed there already ? How was it ? And could anyone provide me with their email address so I can get in touch with them directly ? Any tip is most welcome. Thanks in advance for your help :-)))

we are looking about doing a two day one night trip to the Mekong delta next week and I was just wondering if anyone can recommend any tour companies? I would love to do a homestay, and would prefer to go with a company that has a focus on sustainable tourism etc. I am a little hesitant as I have seen some itineraries for tours and it seems like some are just taking you from shop to shop basically... whereas I would like to try, as much as possible, to see the real mekong, rather than just do shopping. Any suggestions would be very greatly appreciated.

What are your thoughts on the following itineary:

3 nights Phan Thiet which covers Mui Ne, Ca Na Beach
3 nights Nha Trang
1 night in HCMC

We will be traveling in a private car.

Aim is to enjoy the beaches in Vietnam and eat up!

Anyone going to the Vung Tau, Ba Ria area.
If you have time I would like a couple of phots in the area.
