I am moving to Xinyu near Nanchang for a year to work and I am interested in getting a local guide that could help me get settled, show me the best shopping, how to do the tourist things (such as the lakes area visit), and all the things I don't know about the place. I adopted a Chinese daughter in 1997. Her 'finding site' was near the Jiao Qiao police station in the northwest part of the city. I understand there is a university or business school somewhere near this place. I am wondering what is the name of the school?

I'll be travelling from Shanghai to Hong Kong by train, but because it such a long distance I was thinking of spending a day in Nanchang. I will arrive in Nanchang in the morning and I will continue my journey to Hong Kong late in the evening. However, I do not want to take all my luggage with me that day. So I was wondering whether there are deposit boxes or storage rooms at the train station where I can safely leave my luggage for the day.

My husband and I are adopting a 3 1/2 year old daughter from China and will travel in June to get her. She is in foster care in Nanchang, through the Nanchang SWI. I would love to connect with someone in the area who could perhaps find out more about our daughter for us, or could take some photos of some places, like her finding place, which is the gate of the Nanchang SWI on 08/24/00.
