Need a Qingdao tour guide

Plan to visit Qingdao next May for 3 days. Looking for an english speaking tour guide to help me arrange a 1-2 days city tour. Anyone have any recommendations or can point me to a website?

Im having a look on hostelbookers.com and hostelworld.com and only two cheap hotels I can find is "My Hotel Inn (Jinan Bei Yuan)" and "GreenTree Hotel Jinan Railway Station Hotel". Has anyone stayed in either one and can give me some tips on which one to go for.. Are the locations ok? Our budget is quite tight so we have to go for any of these.

Hello everyone, I am planning to go to the beer festival this month .I live in Shanghai, can you tell me ,or recommend anyplace that is inexpensive to stay at such as a youth hostel or hotel and if you like to hang out let me know because I do not know anyone in Qingdao ... I'm moving in to Qingdao in August and I need a place to live. I'll be staying for one year and will be working at IH Qingdao, so somewhere near would be better. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just a small place with basics. Any ideas?

Mount Taishan

I have a teacher friend who would like to take 40 of her students to Taishan in June. They will probably not climb the mountain itself but she wants them to feel inspired enough to write poetry whilst there. Now her question is, because I have not been there since 1998 and do not know what changes have occurred, but is there a seating area of some sort, or at least an open area where all forty students can sit and write at either the foot of the mountain or a short way up?

Hello, all. I'm trying to find the quickest way (bus and/or train) to get from Weihai to Rizhao. We are planning a weekend trip, so we have limited time. We could also depart from Yantai, if necessary.

Best Route to Jinan

Hi...could someone tell the best way to get to Jinan from Manila...there is no direct flight and I'm thinking of going to HK first. Is there a train or bus directly going to Jina...I think I'll be lost. What other options do I have...and I'm running out of time.

Hi VTers ,

Would appreciate if someone can help me as to how I can get to Tai Shan from Beijing .

1) What are the options of transportation to Tai Shan and how long and how much
it takes ?

2) And from there is there any flights to Chengdu as I would like to visit
the Emei Shan. How much would that cost ?

3) Or should I go to Huang Shan which is in Anhui ( nearer than Chengdu )

4) Do they have cable cars / bus ride up to those mountains ( Tai Shan, Huang Shan & Emei Shan ?

1) Any good family budget hotels in HuanCui District? How much?
2) Weihai attractions?
3) Good eateries?
4) We would like to visit a local primary school.
5) Little Korean town?
6) Is Weihai one of the MOST LIVEABLE CITIES in the world? Why??

I will arrive in august in Qingdao by ship from Korea. I will live in Huanghai Gloria Hotel. Can you please say me, how to get there from the port? How much would cost taxi and can I pay taxi with korean money or dollar?

What is the best way to travel to Shanghai from Qingdao? I just arrived in S Korea and will be in Qingdao Next Thursday (6/2). I am thinking about leaving from Qingdao to Shanghai on 6/2 or 6/3.

Are there websites that I can purchase flight/train tickets from?

Is there an agent that I can contact via phone or e-mail?

Hi members,
On the 30th of April, i'll be in Qingdao to pick up a friend from the airport.I've lived in Jiaozhou,near to Qingdao just for some weeks now and know little about shandong. In addition i'm a foreigner too hence understand chinese sparsely.
1)Is it a long distance from the bus station to the airport?
2)which bus number do i take from the bus station to the airport? I don't wanna go by cab because cab-drivers all over the world like exploiting foreigners.
3)Hope there is just one bus station and airport in Qingdao.
I'll appreciate your guidance.

2 of teh following three : datong or chengde or qufu.
