Pattaya What about more in Pattaya
Posted: Thu August 13, 2009 01:16 PM UTC
hi all,
I am planning to spend a 4-night long stay in Pattaya with my wife. I know there are some must-see places as the walking street, department stores and some more... but apart that I would like to know if any place worth a visit is nearby. I read beach is not that great as anyone is expecting to be, but I have read some info on nearby islands...
Can anyone add some more piece of info or just advise me on the places where to go/not to go and, should be the case, how?
Thanks

Pattaya Walking Street.
Posted: Tue July 7, 2009 08:35 PM UTC
I am having some trouble attempting to nail down this question with internet searches so I am looking to you guys for some help.

I am getting info for a trip I am planning in April of next year.

The problem is that I am cross referencing from internet searches to Google maps and the language barrier is making this harder then it usually. I think I have a good grasp of how the area I want to stay is layed out but I want to double check before I make any final purchases.

I was thinking of staying at A-one hotel, first it is close to a beach, second got generally good reviews, and third close to walking street...I think. My question is, were exactly is "Walking Street" either from the hotel or on google maps.

Second, how far into walking street is the good nightlife and is there a better located hotel then A-one?

Third, how long is walking street and where does it start (cross streets for google maps) and end...with approxamate location of good Go-go bars, etc etc.

Forth, does Pattaya not have an airport cause it seems I have to fly to Bangkok?

Any other tips or tricks from your experienses would be helpful.

Thanks

Pattaya Transportation from Sheraton Pattaya Resort
Posted: Sun May 24, 2009 01:39 PM UTC
This resort is isolated from the rest of Pattaya. The only choices we see are taxis, which can be quite expensive for three people staying for 3 nights. They are asking for 150 baht. Is there any other way that would be cheaper? Please help!!! Thank you very much.

Pattaya Para sailing and the beaches in Pattaya
Posted: Wed February 18, 2009 06:21 AM UTC
Hello

I want to go parasailing in Pattaya when I am in Thailand in June.

Can someone give me a recommendation of a company who does this?
What is the price of parasailing?
How do you organise it?

What are the beaches like in Pattaya? I saw pics and they look a bit steep. My girlfriend loves the beach but I do not feel like making a trip to Phuket and Phiphi. Is it worth 2 days in Pattaya for the beach?

Thanks!

Pattaya Find a Fellow Traveller to Pattaya
Posted: Thu September 18, 2008 02:16 AM UTC
I'm going to Pattaya, Thailand, on the 15th of December. This will be my 7th visit.. So, in order not to be bored to death ('cuz I'm going with mom and dad) I would like to find a fellow traveller, a person who goes to the same location, not for the first time. I'm 26, I'm Russian but can speak fluent english, french and italian. I'm a translator and a divoted traveller. I write books (mainly about my travalling), do some portrait paintings and am very active. I do a lot of sport. So, if there are somebody going to the same location and preferably the same age and with the same interests, they are welcome to comtact me oxscully@rambler.ru

Hi,
have seen plenty about the political trouble in BKK, yesterday my travel agent called to ask whether I want to cancel the trip and go elsewhere. My trip is booked on 24th and the plan was 3 days in BKK + 18 days in Pattaya + 3 days back in BKK, can anybody tell me about the situation in Pattaya, has there been any impact at all ? is it still worthwhile of going to BKK ?

Thanks !!

Just wonder if anybody knows how long this trip will take ? I am thinking of going there for a few days. I wanna swim with the dolphins and since i am very fond of seafood i think it would be nice to stay a night or two in this fishervillage while i am there. Would also appreciate if anyone has hotel/guesthouse to reccomend.
