I travel to Hat Yai by nighttrain from Kuala Lumpur Sentral (arrival Hat Yai: October 17th about 11:00 am) and want to go to Koh Lanta the same day.

Can I travel by mini-bus or bus to Koh Lanta from Hat Yai?
When do they depart and where to buy the ticket (is it sufficing if I buy it in Hat Yai?)

Hi all, i will need to catch up a flight to Bangkok from Hatyai on Oct06.

Stay in Penang currently and plan as below:-
Butterworth - Hatyai (by van)
Hatyai - Songkla Airport (???)

Anyone please advise on how should i get to the airport?
If you know about the direct trasport from Butterworth to Songkla Airport, it's more added-value.

we have made plans to make way to Hatyai next month but we are stopped by our parents to make a trip there because of the news flashing on our tvs lately. for us, we are kinda quite adamant wanting to make this trip possible.

was wondering the locals there can aid us in providing us a clearer picture of the situation there?

at times, we do believe the press had blown situations bigGER than it should appear to be. anyone possible to provide us withe some "lineup" of the situation there?

My friends and I are taking the KL-Hat Yai train, and from there we're planning to get to Phuket. I am concerned about the bus schedules from Hat Yai to Phuket because so far, the only bus schedule I got was from the website Seat61. Unfortunately, according to the site, the last bus to leave for Phuket is at 10:05, and the train is to arrive Hat Yai at 11:15.

I hope you guys can give me information if there are round-the-clock buses from Hat Yai to Phuket, and where can we find them. Thank you very much!

Can anyone tell me how to go to Haadyai from the Alor Setar airport. Are there taxis, vans, private cars offering the service from this airport or do I have to get into Alor Setar town to charter one? How much for the trip into Haadyai? Any other tips is much appreciated.Thanks.

I am planning to go Hatyai next month.
Now still deciding whether I should get the pick-up service from the hotel or not. Thay are charging THB150 per person. There are 2 of us.
Just wondering how much will the taxi cost from airport to town. Will they charge based on the no of pax?
Also if I take the minivan, where will it stop? Will it bring me to my hotel or will they just drop all the passenger at one spot in the town area?

My last visit to Hatyai was 5 yrs back.Visited a few night life places....for this trip I'm joined by a free lance travel journalist.Would appreciate if anyone could advise on the following :-

1. Disco clubs/jazz bars - address & name.
1. Go-go bars/top less bars - address & name.
2. Strip joints or "tiger shows" - address & name.( I heard that there's two of such joints...I've been to one but could not remember the locality )

Hat Yai seems to be experiencing pretty bad weather recently. Me and a few friends are planning to go to Pangan this coming 28th. Do u guys think its still advisable, since we're taking a ferry and all...?

Is there any alternatives that I should consider...? Somewhere with nice beaches where we could chill with a beer or maybe cast a few lines...
