Can anyone recommed a condo in Hua Hin or vicinity? It this a good place to visit. Spent 2 months in Pattaya last year and want to go somewhere different.

Hire a chef in Hua Hin??

Hi, we are a family going to Hua Hin and looking for a good chef which we can hire for some days, anyone know of anyone or maybe a webpage??

Hua Hin/Cha Am beach massage

There used to be a few places where you could get food drink and a massage, on the beach, just along from the Regent Hotel.
When we stayed at the Regent in 2005 & 2007, we used to regularly visit one of these.
Unfortunately when we went again earlier this year, they were not there anymore.

The ladies that worked there were very friendly, and we all got on really well with them. We can remember the names of two of them - they were called Ruby and Pen.
We will be back in the area next April, and are wondering if anybody knows where they are now working - maybe now in the Hua Hin area?

Hua Hin to Purket ?

Greetings:

I would appreciate any suggestions on getting from Hua Hin to Purket (Sheraton Grande Laguna).

I know we can pick up a train from Bangkok (Night train, so we can connect to last bus?)but since we then still have to take a bus I was wondering if a bus ran direct from Hua Hin to Purket? (A decent one?)

I also wonder if any of the experts know of other ways to make the trip ?

Buses/train from Bangkok to Hua Hin

Hi!

What is the best way to get from Bangkok (Sukhumvit Road) to Hua Hin? I've heard that sometimes the trains are really slow. Do you think bus is better? Where do they leave from? Do I have to buy the ticket in advance or can I just show up?

I'm returning to Bangkok just before Songkran, on April 10th. Will the buses be crowded or is it easy to get a ticket also then?

Hotel Suggestions?

We will be in Hua Hin in early February and would like to get some recommendations for a good, well-located hotel. So far, I have looked on the Internet at the Hilton, the Sofitel, the Anantara, the Dusit, the Hyatt Regency and the Alila Cha-Am. If anyone has stayed at or knows anything about any of these hotels, I would really appreciate some feed-back. If there are others that you would suggest as an alternative, I would love to hear about those as well.

Hi,

Newbie to Hua Hin. Would appreciate honest lowdown to either (2 short listed hotels):
Nern Chalet or
Bihai Resort

Bihai looks good value from hotel webbie direct for peak xmas period @bht2990 (deluxe with terrace). But 7kms from town, can see any seaview from pics. Nern via reseller same price (pending cfm), but with great sea views.

You know how it's like, pics can deceive.. Grateful for any heads up as I need to ink booking pronto. Thanks a zillion

Does the bus stop at the Bangkok Airport?
If not, what is the distance and length of time to the airport from the Bangkok dropoff location?
What is the recommended transportation to the Airport?

please share your experience of stay at the above property in hua hin. what i need to know is the distance from the mini vans stations (from bkk) and whether this place is near the busy town area - with lots of restaurants etc.

cleanliness and staff attitude are surely important and commnets on that would be appreciated.

Day spa gift for my step-mother

Can anyone recommend a good but not too expensive day spa in Hua Hin. My dad and step-mother have just moved to Hua Hin but they do not have much knowledge of the area yet. It's my step-mothers 50th birthday and so I'd like to treat her to a treatment or two at a spa. I live in Australia so would need to pay online if possible.

How to get from Hua Hin to Koh Samet....?

I am going to Thailand and will be traveling around a bit. I will need to go from Hua Hin to Koh samet (island). Is there anyone who knows if I can catch a boat or you will have to go by train all the way through Bangkok to Pattaya and take a boat from there?

can anyone enlighten us on the intra town transportation. for a four night stay in the area would it be better to base onself in one of the towns and tranvel around for day trips or stay in each town for better flavour of town activities.

hi

please suggest some clean and central accommodation in hua hin and cha'am. need not be anything fancy as long as it is reasonably clean and well located for intra town connectivity.

there was some talk of train service from suvaranabhumi to bkk downtown scheduled for completion last year ( 2007 ) but apparently delayed to this year. any developments on that.

alternatively what is budget transfer option from suvarnabhumi to hua hin.
