| Bangkok | Recommended Tattoist in Bangkok Posted: Sun July 6, 2008 03:05 AM UTC
Hi!! my friend and I are planning to go to Bangkok next week and my friend is interested to get a new tattoo in Bangkok. I've been browsed in internet that Khao San Road is one of the main place to get a tattoo. But could anyone recommend which shop is the recommended one? and if is there any better tattoist outside Khao San Road?
Looking forward to your info.. thanks a lot -Nuning- |

| Bangkok | A reasonably good hotel location for a conference Posted: Thu July 3, 2008 08:46 AM UTC
I am researching some hotels that could provide conference facilities as I plan to hold an event sometime this year. Any recommendation? My budget for one guest room is between 2,800 and 3,500 bahts (between US$ 85-110). I have some quotes from Novotel Siam Square, Siam City Hotel, Montien Hotel, Ambassador and Imperial's Queen Park in Bangkok.
Any comments on these hotels? I really appreciate your comments. |

| Bangkok | Too many destinations Posted: Wed July 2, 2008 03:42 PM UTC
We are just starting to plan for Asia for apx. 26 days and can travel any month. This will be our only trip to Asia and I can't fit everything in. Please suggest what to eliminate. Also, what month is best? We want to go to:Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Ching Mai, Luang Prabang, Hanoi, Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, Sien Reap. We will use the Asia pass to travel in Asia. What order is best and how many days in each place would you suggest. I know travel days are usually down days. Any help will be appreciated. We also want a few days just to unwing---where is the question. We really don't like organized tours the whole time, but would love to have a driver and guide where possible. Any suggestions?

Can anyone advise if there is a way of reducing the cost of $419 (one-way) from Bangkok to Hanoi? I have checked several sites, but so far I was able to find only this outrageous fare offered by Thai Airline. many thanks, Olya

| Bangkok | Bangkok itinerary Posted: Thu June 26, 2008 03:51 PM UTC
Hi!
I would like to get an opinion on my set itinerary for my Bangkok trip. If this is the best way to make the most of my short stay there. Day 1 - Fri (starts after lunch) -> Grand Palace -> Wat Pho -> Wat Arun -> Dinner Cruise (is this worth it?) Day 2 – Sat -> Damnoen Saduak Floating Market (would want to start as early as 6:00 am. is there a bus going there by that time) -> Samphran Elephants Ground and Zoo -> Chatuchak Weekend Market (from my last destination, how do i get here? ) -> Suan Lum Night Bazaar (from my last destination, how do i get here? ) I think my day 2 is packed. But do you think this is doable? Day 3 – Sun -> Ayuttaya (aside from picture taking and walking around, what else is there to do? How do I get here if i don't avail of the tour available? do you think this is wise?) -> Calypso Cabaret – Asia Hotel Hoping someone would share their knowledge on this with me. Thanks:) |

| Bangkok | Travel time from Don Mueng Airport to Suvarnabhumi Airport Posted: Thu June 26, 2008 05:48 AM UTC
Hi!
I would like to ask what is the travel time from the domestic airport to the international airport? I will be arriving from Phuket at 6:00 PM in the Don Mueng Airport and have to catch a flight at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 10:00 PM. Do you think I will have enough time to catch my flight? Considering it is an international one. And also, how much will the taxi cost for this? Looking forward to your help on this. Thanks:) |

I'll be going to bangkok on the 2nd July 08 for 5 days. Have any of you heard abt the situation in bangkok currently? Please share... I heard yesterday's news as saying day 4 of protest outside the prime minister's office...
I'm still optimistic abt my plans but since I'll be bringing my elderly parents with me, I want to ensure that there is no violence happening there. otherwise I might do a diversion to Pattaya... |

Hi all.
I have a few questions: -is March a good chocice for Thailand trip? -How many days are recommended in Bangkok? -I want to visit Ayutthaya, can I do it on my own? Which is better, to take bus, or train? -Although there are some floating markets in Bangkok, does it worth to visit Damnoen Sadouak? If so, can I do it myself? I don't really like organised tours. Is there any bus or train going there, and how can I go around the market? If someone could tell me the costs.. -After sightseeing, we would like to have some rests. which island can you recommend: Koh Samui, Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi? thanks for any comments |

| Bangkok | Best /cheap way to go on floating market tour? Posted: Tue June 17, 2008 11:49 PM UTC
My husband insists that we should go to Damnoen Saduak floating market. I know its on the outskirts of Bangkok. I only wish to do that tour & not combined with anything,
Will a taxi bring us there? How much will a tour costs? Roughly how long will this tour take as I wish to go to Chatchuchak market too later that afternoon. Thanks |
