| Ko Phangan | Which Beach?? Posted: Fri February 23, 2007 10:15 AM UTC
Is it true that Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach is the best beach on Phangan.
I am after a calmer place to say with my family. I am having trouble finding acom on Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach to fit us all but have other options on Baan Tai Beach, Haad Yao, Haad Salad. These other beaches have cheaper options for me but would I be dissapointed to miss out on Thong nai Pan??? I plan to spend a most time swimming etc. Am going in early July. Thoughts anyone?? Brett |

Can anyone give me an opinion of this resort on Thansadet beach?
I have found they have a family room and am struggling to find another resort on a peaceful beach with the same. Any suggestions. We are a family with small children - don't wan't to do "battle" with too many party goers (makes me jealous!!) Thanks for any opinions Brett |

| Ko Phangan | Chilled out beaches around 'The Sanctuary'? Posted: Thu January 25, 2007 09:16 AM UTC
Hi guys,
We are going to be on Koh Phangan for the April FMP and are looking at staying at 'the Sancutary'. We have been told that this is a really chilled out kind of place, where people just do their own thing and the whole place has a magical feel? Our friends told us that the beach there is the nearest thing to Ibiza, where you can wear as little or as much as you like and nobody cares? Any help would be very much appreciated. | Ko Phangan | Thong Sala Football Where? Posted: Sun January 7, 2007 05:43 PM UTC
My girlfriend and myself will be visiting Koh Phangan in February for 2 months. We will be staying near Thong Sala. Looks great but I worry about not seeing any prem football. Is there a bar in the area that shows the football and maybe six nations rugby. I'm not going to cancel the holiday if not, but any info would be gratefully received.
Many thanks and see you soon Ken |

| Ko Phangan | The Sanctuary Spa resort Posted: Sat November 4, 2006 01:09 PM UTC
A friend and I are planning a spa trip to Thailand in June. The Santuary Spa in Koh Pha Ngan is one that we're considering, but I haven't been able to find any specific reviews about it except from the official websites. I would appreciate anyone who has been here if they could share their experiences about it. Many thanks.

Do you know the email of the Amsterdam Bar? Whats about nice bars / partys with nice people and good music? can you recommend some places? we like chill music, ambient or house/deep house (NO trance or techno!!). are there any nice places where they play chill music or deep house? for your answer and any information MANY THANKS. Greetings from berlin. P.S: we are also looking for a nice and cheap (up to maximum 600 baht per bungalow per night) accomodation in koh samui for a few nights... do you have any ideas / tips? |

Does anyone know how easy it would be to get from koh phangan to koh samui at about 4am in the morning. This will be on the 7th of december (thursday) which is the day after the full moon party (6th december).
My friend and myself need to get there early as we are catching a plane from koh samui at 6am so we can make our flight which leaves at 10am from bangkok international. We desperately want to go to the full moon party and need some advice. Please help two australians do what they need to do!! |

| Ko Phangan | thailand honeymoon in oct., where to go? Posted: Thu August 31, 2006 05:29 AM UTC
my fiance and i are planning on honeymooning in thailand in mid-oct. we just want some quiet time on an uncrowded beach with some decent swimming and snorkelling. what can we expect in terms of weather on phi phi at that time? i had read somewhere that even if its not raining, the water may be too rough for decent swimming. would kho phangan be a better choice for us? what about koh lanta? any suggestions?

| Ko Phangan | Koh Phangan - October Posted: Sat August 26, 2006 01:13 AM UTC
I'm planning to travel to Koh Phangan this mid-October to snorkel and relax on the beach. Since this will be during the monsoon season, can anyone tell me whether it's worthwhile or will it be too rainy.
Also, pls recommend a nice beach with a good coral reef, easily accessible from the shore that's also suitable for swimming for non-snorkelers. Had Mae Had/Koh Ma and Ao Chao Phao seem like the best choices for both. Please let me know if these are best. Thanks in advance! |

| Ko Phangan | Travel Advice Posted: Mon July 24, 2006 02:24 PM UTC
HEy all
Looking to head to thailand with a few mates (a group of 4/5 guys in there mid 20's) around mid - late october 2006. We want to spend most of the 10-12days we are planning to be there on Ko Samui and Ko Phangan whilst there. I just want some advice on what to do there and when the full moon parties take place in October and how to get there from either Bangkok or Ko Samui. I also hear October is the start of there wet season! is this true? Will be coming from Perth, Western Australia. So travel advice would also be welcome. thanks all |
