This summer my family is planning to take the train to Trang and then rent a car to drive to Phuket and then back again to catch the train to Bangkok. Can anyone help me with car rentals in Trang? Where are they located, names and about how much should I expect to pay for a small car. Thanks.

We are thinking of stopping in the Trang area in early April on our way down the coast from Krabi to Langkawi. Has anyone done this, is it worth while or should we go straight onto Langkawi? I have heard there are some nice beaches but have no idea what the state of tourism is like in this area.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to get a boat from Kradan to Lanta? I've heard it might be possible to catch a ride with one of the tour boats that go to kradan to snorkel. Anybody done this before? Am actually going to be going to Phi Phi, but don't think I could get a direct boat from Kradan to Phi Phi. If anybody knows different, please let me know.

Taking Hubby to Amari Trang in December hopefully to snorkel. Any advice appreciated. Also where to eat evenings and what to see locally.

Does anybody know if there is a regular boat service linking Trang to Langkawi?
Also if anybody has stayed at the Amari Trang let me know what you thought of it and the surrounding area.
