I will be visiting Hailar in the next month or so and the two hotels you mentioned sound good. Can you tell me how far they are from the airport? Also I understand there is a Nestle Plant close by. Do you know how far any of the two hotels you mention are from the Nestle Plant.

One final question have you heard of the Erguna Commercial Hotel. Where it is and if you would recommend this hotel.

Is it possible to get a train from Haila'er to Tongliao or from Qiqiha'er? Also can I spend or change Mongolian money in Tongliao or does anyone know of somewhere else without going to Mongolia?

I plan to go to Inner Mongolia for 10 days, thinking of spending 3D in Hohhot, 3D in Baotou and not sure where else to visit in Inner Mongolia. Can anyone suggest what else is worth visiting apart from those two places!? Thanks!

Hi I will be going to Inner Mongolia by group tour this coming June 12th. Like to know any things i should look out for my 5 years old son eg weather, food etc? Thanks in advance.

We'll be in China in early April and are considering going to the Inner Mongolia grasslands (Hohhot area). What type of weather are we likely to encounter? Is it still going to be covered in snow? In other words, is it worth it to go that time of year or are the conditions going to be so miserable that we won't enjoy it?

I will be trying to visit my ancestry grave in Xinhui, Guangdong Province in November. Will be flying into Hong Kong and Staying in Lo Wu on the China side. Like to get advise on what is the best way to go to Xinhui from Lo Wu/Shenzhen. How long will it take and any hotel recommendations in Xinhui. I speak cantonese so should not be a problem with language. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to travel past Lhasa from the Nepal route and head into Inner Mongolia?

I would like to travel to Inner Mongolia this Summer (2005) and see some festivals. I also would like to rent some horses for a few days and travel by horseback. I am in Beijing and am looking for anyone interested in going this summer. I do not know any festival dates but my dates are pretty flexible. I can probably go for about 5-6 days. please send any tips or ideas my way. Thanks!

Has anyone visited the Zhao Great Wall in Inner Mongolia. I have rcently posted detailed information on two sections of the Zhao wall (in the sections on Hohhot and Beqeq) but am keen to get more information (directions, localities, accessibility) about other parts.

Also interested in the Qing Great Wall sections on the Shanxi-Inner Mongolia border at the WESTERN end (i.e. around Qingshuihe....no at the Datong end!!)

Yep question about the Naadam festival dates in Inner Mongolia again. I can find information for Outer MOngolia (11-13th July) but does anyone know for definate the dates for Inner Mongolia?

I would like to visit Inner Mongolia for the Nadam Festival. Will be going there from Beijing. What's the best way to organise this trip for a small group?
